There is a great live version of this from the Snakes and Arrows tour that you may enjoy checking out. As good as Rush is in the studio, it's amazing to watch them bring their songs to life in concert.
The story behind this song is fantastic! I’m sure people have told you. Initial recording of this album had wrapped. Geddy was in studio doing vocal Tracks. He had requested a bass from a manufacturer to try. In between vocal takes he would try out the bass. The producer was savvy and recorded his trials. They decided there was something there. Neil wax around but his recording drum kit had been packed and shipped out. He only had his warm up kit available . But they played off each other. Alex was kingvghbe because he was dying the city of Naples Florida for having been arrested and his nose broken. After the drums and bass were recorded into something , they had Alex remotely come up with guitar stuff.

Therd is a classic South Park animated intro to Tom Sawyer during one of their shows ( fellow fans please help this old hard brain remember the tour)
RIP Neil...so glad I saw them live twice 👌 Have you seen the Xanadu 1981 Exit Stage Left Live? EPIC. Do you know who also mixes instrumentals into their concerts...to give the singer a break? Band-Maid...try the first offering 'Onset'...stunning enough...and then later 'From Now On' 👊🥳 No rush...but Lots of Rush 👍
Try the 2 part story of Cygnus X1. Book 1 is at the end of the "A Farewell To Kings" album and Book 2 starts off the "Hemispheres" record. I highly recommend doing both together. But to be honest, you can't go wrong with anything from the Rush album, up to and including, Moving Pictures! Cheers from 🇨🇦.
@TheRealMommaOG Xanadu from Exit Stage Left is the best-known and best-loved performance from the album; I would also recommend doing the title track and Closer To The Heart back to back because they fit together well, and the lyrics of the former are especially relevant in today's political climate.
