McDavid is a great player but I wouldn’t take him over Crosby. (I’d probably take him over Ovi tho.)
Adam , your reaction at 5:09 is the exact reaction I had when I was at the game and he scored it. It ended the game because it was overtime. Just unreal. Easily the greatest goal I've seen in person.
You can't talk about Sidney Crosby without ALEX OVECHKIN! They are the two best players of the last generation. You watched Ovechkin biggest hits now you need to see his goals! He is arguably the greatest goal scorer in NHL history! He and Crosby came into the league the same year and they have dominated ever since.
Brian Fairfield I’m talking strictly about scoring goals and Crosby, who is an incredible goal scorer, doesn’t come close to the the consistency and numbers that of Ovi has. Ovechkin is going to break 801 (Howe’s record) at least by end of his career which puts him in number 2 of all time with Howe (3rd) and Gretzky.. in an era where goals were harder to score and there was significantly less goals per game on average. So yes if he gets to top 2 I think you can make that argument. Ovis gonna get 700 fucking goals by the end of this season and he’s 34..
Your skating was not that bad you just need to bend your knees more, get lower in your stance and you want to keep your weight more forward on your feet. If you get too far on your heels that's when you start slipping.
The shimmy with the puck is called stick handling. Its the first skill learned by wee ones (pee-wee's) after learning to skate. NHL players have spent 1000's of hours practicing this.. on frozen ponds, backyard rinks and local arenas. (or on the road/driveway during our brief but glorious summers here in Canada). A dangle or toe-curl (referring to the toe of the stick) is a move performed while stick-handling.. usually during a deke. And you always keep your head up while handling the puck or you end up in the Big Hits videos. Wheel snipe celly, boys. Ferda.
They left out almost all of Connor's best goals, too Edit: someone should make a "McDavid making elite players look stupid" video. Like recently just easily blowing past Eckman-Larson to score, or when he scored off of Chara's stick, or when he got Seabrook and Keith to concentrate on him then spun around and somehow did a blind pass through both of them to Draisaitl. I think he's done something similar to the majority of elite defensemen at this point
McDavid is so fast that he doesn't even have to do half the shit Crosby can do. The way Crosby can dance around behind the goal line until he finds an opening is uncanny, but why do that if you can just turn the corner for a breakaway? Crosby is that guy in NHL videogames that you just can't touch or push off the puck when you do, while he dances around your offensive zone until he can slice to the net or pass to the slot. McDavid is the guy who made a character with 99 Speed with high Shooting and Passing instead.
Really happy to see you enjoy the artistry of hockey. In Canada, kids are given the opportunity to express their talents from a very young age and this is what you get. :)
Love your end monologue! I've played hockey all my life, and when asked my favorite team my answer is ... I just like to watch good hockey. Don't care who it is
The thing about ice skating is that anyone who's any good at it grew up doing it. Like a lot of Canadians, my dad strapped skates on me pretty much as soon as I could walk, and it's just second nature to me now.
React to Zdeno Chára. Literally the tallest dude to ever play the game at the NHL level. He also holds the record for hardest shot on goal in NHL history (175.1 km/h)!
So, in ice hockey there is a thing called "deking" which is where you fake a shot and then pass, or vice versa, which draws the opposing player out of positon, and when you can do it really, really well it's called "having hands" which just means you stick handle between shooting and passing position so quickly that they disorient the opposing player and then they can just step right around him.
Is that the best jersey in the league behind you? Man, you gotta react to Patrick Kane. Won 3 cups with the Blackhawks in like 5 years and won all the awards. Bonus : his nickname is showtime 😉
Bobby Orr: Robert Gordon "Bobby" Orr (born March 20, 1948 in Parry Sound, Ontario) is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman. Bobby Orr's ice hockey skills were evident at a very early age. He was signed by the Boston Bruins at twelve. As a 14-year-old, he played junior hockey against eighteen, nineteen and twenty-year-olds. Adam do a video on him, you won't be disappointed !!!!
Yo adam im a big fan of your postcast about hockey. Im from Quebec, Canada and here there’s a clip you must watch. Montreal vs Quebec the duel. It’s old school hockey but soooooo intense
When the hockey players are doing that shimmy work with their hockey stick and puck it's called ( Dribbling - Dribbling is the primary means more controlling of the puck when you're moving on ice. The movement requires good peripheral vision and the ability to control the puck, not only inside your base of support, but also when the puck is outside primary area of control. 😊👍
I'm from Edmonton the town the Oilers are in and he is something special to watch its incredible and btw our Jersey is awsome love it we just got it changed 2 or 3 years ago

You are looking for "Deke" or "Dangle" for the quick moves, but there are different types of dekes as sub-genres of that (i.e. toedrag, between-the-legs, windmill, etc..)

Fingers crossed for Teddy Blueger, Zemgus Girgensons, Elvis Merzlikins (and hopefully Rudolfs Balcers will return to OTT soon).
While he is asking what you call stick handling after a Connor goal he doesn't even notice the camera pan to catch Wayne Gretzky being dumbfounded, which is only cool when you know its the best player ever being shocked to see what the second best ever is already doing...
hockey slang guide: dangles, deke, handles: moveing the puck with style/ "shimmy" top cheese/ cheddar/ top shelf: scoring in the top portion of the net 5 hole: scoring between the goalies legs glove side: the big glove blocker side: the hand that holds the stick which is protected by a square "blocker" jersey: to jersey someone is to pull their shirt over their head during a fight so they cant see wheels: to go really fast snipe: to shoot with accuracy celly: to celebrate yard sale: "everything must go" meaning all the equipment gets thrown onto the ice during a fight between two full teams. hat trick: scoring 3 goals in one game Gordie Howe hat trick: 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 fight the list can go on forever but you get the idea
The stick ‘shimmy’ you are so impressed with is all done with feel, of course they are not watching the puck, they have their head up looking where they are going, where their teammates are etc, etc.
Adam, the names can vary, but the back and forth movement of the puck with the stick is simply stick handling. When you add in the stick handling movement combined with going around an opponent, that’s called a deke... Cheers! Keep up the great work my friend!
As a Canadian l cant wait to see what Sid and Connor will bring to the Olympic games for team Canada. Imagine the two of them on the same line, though that would probably only be on the power play. Far better to have two scary ass scoring lines than one.
It is a great time to be a hockey fan in general. So many great players, love some, hate some (mostly because they aren't on you're favorite team), but love the game no matter what.
The stick shimmying thing is called Stick Handling when just going down the ice. It helps you keep the puck under control and in front of you. Similar to dribbling in soccer. When they do it around players or goalies its called a deke. Like a juke in soccer.
They are two different breeds of players coming from different eras of hockey. Syd is amazing but he is getting older , but mcdavid is still coming up and mcdavids hands and speed is not comparable , even after his possibly career thretening injury two years ago ? I beleive ! His shin hit the goal post while skating 40 MPH , destroyed his whole knee. Came back the next season and he was amazing .
The last time I saw a players speed dominate and change the game.was Bobby Orr. Although he was a defenceman, he would go “coast to coast” and skate circles around the opposition and put the puck in. He created the rushing defenceman

Crosby is way better in the post season McDavid isn’t even averaging a point a game while Crosby is averaging over a point a game. To cap it off Crosby won a Stanley cup within his first five seasons while McDavid has only made the playoffs once which is the same year the pens won the cup. McDavid is a great player but I wouldn’t take him over Crosby. (I’d probably take him over Ovi tho.)
"Brain falls out me arse!" LMFAOOO
Adam , your reaction at 5:09 is the exact reaction I had when I was at the game and he scored it. It ended the game because it was overtime. Just unreal. Easily the greatest goal I've seen in person.
"has anyone ever been as good at is age?" Yes...Sidney Crosby. That's why he is called Sid The Kid.....lol XD
Wayne G!!
Obviously Gretz... obviously
Yes crosby, but also Gretzky, as he got 1000 points at age 23
You can't talk about Sidney Crosby without ALEX OVECHKIN! They are the two best players of the last generation. You watched Ovechkin biggest hits now you need to see his goals! He is arguably the greatest goal scorer in NHL history! He and Crosby came into the league the same year and they have dominated ever since.
No hes not the greatest goal scorer you on something? Like keep dreaming bud Crosby is way better
FTCoconutman also you wanna push an stride forward not walk it’s like running in place if you walk
It makes the legs feel extremely uncomfortable and tired very fast, but it is the proper stance.
i think it should be “hockey fan reacts” by now
Gotta see Patrick Kane !! unreal talent as well
I like him as a hockey player but if i had to do a 12h roadtrip with the guy I would shoot myself dude has zero personality
@@Sparky578 Neither does 97
Arnold's secret love child such a dumb comment you dont even no the guy😂 to say that about his personality
Ferda.
The Crosby video was a lot better compared to McDavids
I mean, Crosby does have 14 years of highlights to choose from...
@@Kwert and McDavid makes it look alot easier than it is
McDavid Better
They left out almost all of Connor's best goals, too
Edit: someone should make a "McDavid making elite players look stupid" video.
I've been watching your nhl reaction videos all day.. it just keeps going. Thank you haha
PLEASE react to Dustin Byfuglien from the Winnipeg jets!!! He is a beast.
Zdeno Chára Slovakian giant... Thats a big deal, not byfuglien
@@martinzetak3621 byfugliens hit highlights are way more impressive than anything he could find from chara

Really happy to see you enjoy the artistry of hockey. In Canada, kids are given the opportunity to express their talents from a very young age and this is what you get. :)
watch NHL Fan Interactions or NHL Superstitions, one will show how great they can be and the other how odd they can be.
Love your end monologue!
I've played hockey all my life, and when asked my favorite team my answer is ...
I just like to watch good hockey. Don't care who it is
the “stick shimmyin” is called stick handling. when they go side to side its called deking, or dangles
You need to watch Nate MacKinnon highlights next
Yo adam im a big fan of your postcast about hockey. Im from Quebec, Canada and here there’s a clip you must watch. Montreal vs Quebec the duel. It’s old school hockey but soooooo intense
Sid scored the golden goal for Canada. He's a national hero, I'm picking him.
Sid's edge control is top notch. you won't see many that are that strong on their skates...and have that kind of edge control.
Please react to Carey Price!
also react to amazing players’ debut like Ryan Poehling and Auston Mathews!
Sydney Crosby has been the best player on the planet for over 10yrs ...... period
React to the 2018-2019 Tampa bay lightning team, one of the best and worst seasons in NHL history
One of the best seasons. The post season on the other hand...
React to the St. Louis Blues journey to the Stanley Cup. Granted it’s about 30 min long but it’s a great in depth video of their season last year
Love watching these vids keep em coming!
Can you react to Auston Matthews first NHL game?
Mads Granby-Thorsen facts
@@felixrenaud3732 that's not a fact thats a request
Connor McDavid is the only player who actually skates faster when he has the puck.
But he just dribbles
U should do best penalty box moments NHL
You should make a video on you watching UK hockey theres teams in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales
Next do WENDEL Clark he’s a beast he has some awesome knockouts
yes he is my favorite ulumni
especially since i like toronto
I'm from Edmonton the town the Oilers are in and he is something special to watch its incredible and btw our Jersey is awsome love it we just got it changed 2 or 3 years ago
Sidney Crosby has lifted 3 Stanely Cups and won multiple Olympic Gold medals. That, to me says Crosby is better.
Connor is the fastest hockey player ever to touch the ice, they've timed him in the all star game, the man is fast. VERY fast
check out Nate McKinnon.
he and Sid are from the same hometown....
There has to be something in the water there.
Adam Donovan they are best friends bud
Salt?
Stick shimmying is called : stick handling, dekeing, dangling, dirty dangles, undressing someone,
Also, important: Dont ever listen to what Don Cherry says.
Yes I know he’s entertaining but he’s not really accurate
TRUE THAT
Nope, Don Cherry knows all. Unless you can give me an example... cause I suspect you don't know anything about hockey outside of highlights.
@adam don’t listen to guys like this who played C level hockey their whole lives. Don Cherry makes stupid comments every now and again but he knows just as much about the game as anyone.
IRON60 BITCH not really accurate? Obviously he’s not always 100% right but to say he’s not really accurate? Look what he’s said about the leafs before the season started, now look at where they are at in the standings.
You are looking for "Deke" or "Dangle" for the quick moves, but there are different types of dekes as sub-genres of that (i.e. toedrag, between-the-legs, windmill, etc..)
Watch Patrick Kane, you’d love his stick handling
Mario Lemieux was monster at that age.141 points in his second season,,,199 3 season later

Ovechkin Highlights because he's a huge hitter and goal scorer.
Man. The music during the Crosby bit had me just goosebump all the time.
“No arguing”
And just like that there was no arguing
What I loved about this video was your comment that instead of comparing two (or more) completely different players, we should just enjoy watching them.
I am not a diehard fan of a single NHL team, I support players from my own country.
Fingers crossed for Teddy Blueger, Zemgus Girgensons, Elvis Merzlikins (and hopefully Rudolfs Balcers will return to OTT soon).
React to auston matthews
Adam Alvi especially his debut (habs fan btw)
Is it possible you could take a look at some Pavel Barber shootout videos. He’s a master at shootout moves and I’m sure you’d be amazed
What about goalies? react to Carey Price!!
Teemu Selänne rookie season 76 goals and 132 points. Stanley Cup winner and total 1457 points in nhl. True legend 💪8️⃣
Why is nobody asking him to react to the legend Wayne Gretzky he is arguably the best player in NHL history
He’s the greatest athlete. Period.
Yes hes the greatest but most of his highlights dont compare to these
In your dreams he is 🤣 Crosby is way better and way more talented then him then any hockey player
While he is asking what you call stick handling after a Connor goal he doesn't even notice the camera pan to catch Wayne Gretzky being dumbfounded, which is only cool when you know its the best player ever being shocked to see what the second best ever is already doing...
hockey slang guide:
dangles, deke, handles: moveing the puck with style/ "shimmy"
top cheese/ cheddar/ top shelf: scoring in the top portion of the net
5 hole: scoring between the goalies legs
glove side: the big glove
blocker side: the hand that holds the stick which is protected by a square "blocker"
jersey: to jersey someone is to pull their shirt over their head during a fight so they cant see
wheels: to go really fast
snipe: to shoot with accuracy
celly: to celebrate
yard sale: "everything must go" meaning all the equipment gets thrown onto the ice during a fight between two full teams.
hat trick: scoring 3 goals in one game
Gordie Howe hat trick: 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 fight
the list can go on forever but you get the idea
Stick Handling my dude, It's called stick handling :P
The stick ‘shimmy’ you are so impressed with is all done with feel, of course they are not watching the puck, they have their head up looking where they are going, where their teammates are etc, etc.
I live in Pittsburgh. I will gladly send you one. Get me some info for the transaction good man!
Adam, the names can vary, but the back and forth movement of the puck with the stick is simply stick handling. When you add in the stick handling movement combined with going around an opponent, that’s called a deke... Cheers! Keep up the great work my friend!
Adam: "Is McDavid the best player ever at his age?"
Answer: 7:08
5:15 i was at that game. It was a great game. Sat in the upper bowl on the goal line so i had a great view of that goal.
React to Henrik lundquist! King of NYC! He is insane

CaptJericho 45 saves against Carolina
As a Canadian l cant wait to see what Sid and Connor will bring to the Olympic games for team Canada. Imagine the two of them on the same line, though that would probably only be on the power play. Far better to have two scary ass scoring lines than one.
React to Brad Marchand leg sweeper.
It is a great time to be a hockey fan in general. So many great players, love some, hate some (mostly because they aren't on you're favorite team), but love the game no matter what.
Watch auston Matthews best goals he has a wicked shot that shocks me every time
He has a good shot, but he isn't on the same level as Ovi (unless you're from Toronto). He's got to do Ovi for sure
His goals are all identical
The stick shimmying thing is called Stick Handling when just going down the ice. It helps you keep the puck under control and in front of you. Similar to dribbling in soccer. When they do it around players or goalies its called a deke. Like a juke in soccer.
You should react to an embellishment video 😂 you/we will have a good laugh! there are some good ones out there.
Go B's 🐻
They are two different breeds of players coming from different eras of hockey. Syd is amazing but he is getting older , but mcdavid is still coming up and mcdavids hands and speed is not comparable , even after his possibly career thretening injury two years ago ? I beleive ! His shin hit the goal post while skating 40 MPH , destroyed his whole knee. Came back the next season and he was amazing .
“Has there been a player as good as Connor McDavid at his age?” Yeah Sidney Crosby lmao
The last time I saw a players speed dominate and change the game.was Bobby Orr. Although he was a defenceman, he would go “coast to coast” and skate circles around the opposition and put the puck in. He created the rushing defenceman
