Okay I get what they were saying about Jamie, but like a good artist is a good artist. And he at that point had 17 years in the game. And was more than likely to have some awesome tattoos in his portfolio. And that should have been enough to earn respect. Like he made it that far in the competition already without having tattoos, so why did it matter that week?
I fully think you can be a tattoo artist and not have tattoos. Also that wolf was great and I fully think he was eliminated out of discrimination against him for not having tattoos. You would think people in the tattoo industry who know discrimination intimately would know better. Hypocrisy.
I totally agree too. 100%. As a wolf lover, I think that wolf was beautiful and well executed. I would have worn it proudly. Like I said in my other comment, I don't care if the artist has any tattoos or not. All I care about is how well the tattoo is done. That's all the matters to me and that's what should have happened there.
I feel like Nick actually did the best that he could, considering that she couldn't make up her mind and she also didn't want a new school piece, from what they showed of her talking
It's asinine canvases like this are even allowed on the show. Supposed to be judging the artists work... not judging how they deal with a person they'd kick out of their shop.
jamie DOESNT need tattoos to be in that like of work. The guest judge is clearly ignorant and small minded. And the judges should have said something but sadly they agreed. Pathetic.
My boy Jamie got absolutely robbed. I'd let him tattoo me. Yeah he was bullied a bit at first, but he's an excellent artist, never in the bottom, and no tattoos wasn't deemed "elimination material" until Forrest decided it was.
Saying a guy who has no tattoos can't be a tattoo artist is like saying a heart surgeon can't perform surgery unless his had heart surgery himself. Ridiculous! That wolf was baddass.
Sad part to me is that Jamie does have a tattoo (I don't know if that was from before filming or after), its just not visible without the use of a black light which is honestly the coolest thing to me. Like if you're in a work environment where you have to have tattoos covered up, a black light tattoo works great because your coworkers and bosses can't see it, but you have one none the less. It frustrates me because he's a really gifted artist, but because he lacks tattoos he doesn't get treated like his peers. Honestly, if I saw a guy's portfolio when he has 17 years in the business and his tattoos looked like that, I wouldn't care if he had tattoos or not. As long as he takes care of his customers and can actually make a piece of art, who cares? It frustrated the hell out of me when they're like, "You can't be a respected tattoo artist without tattoos." Like its his choice whether to have one or not, don't treat him like he's less than because he doesn't have ones that you can see.
It was so light hearted. That guest judge had the hugest stick up his ass I’ve ever seen. Zero humor. Complete drama queen, whining about respect, lmao no one cares dude.

It’s crazy that CJ’s misspelling got all the way to the judgement before anyone noticed it lol. How did NO ONE including her notice it WHILE she was doing it??? 😂 BRUH
@Dee Len They aren't really being judged on whether they're mistakes can be fixed, they're judged on what they hand in as a finished product. They main focus is how bad the actual mistake is
some of the contestants probably did notice while she was doing it but didn't say anything, much like you'll see when mistakes are usually made. like the one where Cleen and his partner had the thumbs of the buddha drawn on wrong and another team noticed halfway through. and told everyone else but waited till after they'd already fucked up and finished it. cause thats an advantage- if she noticed, she could've been able to try to fix it and made it look slightly better or even just squeaked by and saved herself. smart move
idc what anyone says, Jamie should’ve NOT gone home just bc he didnt have tattoos, his piece was one of the best ones & i do think its just stupid how he got sent home for one dumb reason
That woman was even a nightmare during the redemption episode for Nick. I think Steve Teft came in on that one also, to offer her an alternative choice and HE even got frustrated with her.
Tamara Sauls yeah he did, nick tried getting redemption against tefft, she either could tattooed by the ink master or an ink master competitor, but she chose an ink master, and even tho that she chose Steve she still didn’t look to thrilled getting a tattoo as well, like if u look back at the video, she gets in the chair and she didn’t look thrilled 😂, and then nick got redemption by tattooing Dave Navarro, that was badass
Yeah you loved your granny so much you didn't want to pay a dime to get a tattoo of her. Instead go on a reality TV show and get it for free from one of the best New school artists that hasn't done a portrait in a decade. Yeah, you loved her soooooo much lmfao
Yeah, which is pretty shitty but altho 1 thing to know is that obviously, they don’t get to choose the artist of the 1 they feel confident in and then they fucked up cuz they thought they got a good artist, so that’s on them 😂
I judge my artist by their portfolio and the work they do and experience. I don't judge them by what they look like, how many tattoos they have. I actually feel like they threw Jamie under the bus.
“This painting is beautiful, the contrast and juxtaposition between these objects is amazing. But since you haven’t painted on your body, it’s obvious you don’t know what you’re doing”
The irony is crazy. “I don’t respect you because you don’t have tattoos” is the same mentality they complain about when people say “I don’t respect you for Having tattoos”. That’s trash of them
The fact that they're all saying you can't be a tattoo artist without tattoos is absolutely crazy. Some of the best tattoo artists don't have tattoos (aka Javier Rodriguez for one). They should NOT be judging his art on the way he looks.
You know those people who think they're better than you because you have tattoos? They're disrespectful and that's exactly how the guest judge sounds. I literally cannot wrap my mind around that judge's attitude and disgust towards an individual solely because they don't have any tattoos. Shame on the judges for allowing the guest judge to bully Jamie.
The dog wasn’t a bad tattoo? I guess it doesn’t meet the challenge but Mike did a good tattoo, that guy doesn’t have any reason to be ashamed of having that on his arm like some of the other canvases do
yeah I mean personally I don't think the average person is going to look at another person's tattoo and say "wait a minute, this has a block of black in it, it must be a cover-up! It's trash!" Like it's just a weird critique. It also bothers me when they say regular tattoos look like a cover-up tattoo, as if that's supposed to be an insult or something.
It was the fact that it was only black so that made the dog look like an obvious cover up if he could have worked more grey into the tattoo he would not have been eliminated I believe. I wonder if he could have put the cover up part more by the ears behind the dogs throat or something
That girl with the red hair set him up. I mean those spike things he added he should've asked her. She's got bipolar big-time. I actually felt bad for him though having to deal with her. I think at a regular tattoo shop she would've been kicked out.

Steve was obviously the strongest throughout this season, but I honestly felt that Jamie could’ve surprised everyone and won the whole thing. Dude got bullied for no reason
The whole “no tattoos from a non tatted artist” is antiquated. I remember inked having a video talking about this. If your a great artist with a great tattoo portfolio, your life decisions don’t matter. Their art is what matters.
I feel like the votes towards Jamie was bias on the part of the dude in the hat. That guy seemed pretty pissed about the no tattoos and the drawn on fake tattoos. Idk that's just what it seemed to me

Judges: *says that someone’s body is everything to them* Also judges: I don’t like that you don’t have tattoos, therefore you don’t deserve a chance at a 1000000 dollars
My best tattoos were done by someone without tattoos so I really didn’t understand why they were being so dramatic about Jamie not having tattoos. There’s people covered in tattoos who didn’t do work as good as Jamie’s.
I hate that the judges don't give leeway for artists when their client is bonkers. Nick didn't deserve to go home for that tattoo, he probably would've done something better if that chick wasn't flip flopping the entire time.
It's honestly kind of laughable how rude the judges were to Jaime. That's like saying, "You can't be a surgeon if you've never been cut open yourself". What kind of backwards ignorant mindset is that?
Hold up, a guy got sent home just because he doesn’t have any tattoos? Are you serious? He said he had 17 years of work and then he doesn’t have any tattoos then he’s kick. It’s not because of the wolf not having enough shading that wolf was boom. It’s was realistic and when you see the tattoo you’ll know what it is and the pose and stuff was awesome

The contestants talking shit about him not having tattoos is one thing their contestants they're going to talk shit about one another, but the judges like that's not their place. The guest judge also had me pissed when he said "If you want to be respected get some tattoos."
Sorry for the rant it just extremely pissed me off. Because People with tattoos always talk about how people don't respect them or treat them like shit because they have tattoos yet this is what they do when someone is an artist and doesn't have tattoos.
I agree I didn't like it either but I will say I think he was more upset about the fake sharpie tattoos than him not having any at all either way he shouldn't have discriminated him for it dude was better than most the people on the season .
Its like telling bob ross they dont want him to paint cuz he got no tattoos. Does that joke work? Be honest?
Jamie coming out with the fake sharpie tattoos after those disgusting comments was fucking hilarious, these guys take themselves too seriously.
Dave Navarro isn't a tattoo artist but because he has tattoos he's a judge? But Jamie gets eliminated because he didn't have tattoos? That's just dumb
He’s like the voice of the customers. As a person who gets tats, you know what you like and if you like it or not. You don’t need to be a tattoo artist to know you don’t want a busted pin up tat lol
He actually has done some tattoos, but only on his friends, not in a shop. He isn't great but it's not bad either lol
@@BlitzoSuck33 You just proved his point.
Dave doesn't need to be a tattoo artist the same way Jamie doesn't need tattoos.
Exactly!!!
This whole show is all over the place. Judges constantly eliminate people for stupid reasons, Chris Nunez with the biggest ego alive, bad clients screwing over artists. It’s just a reality competition show with a whole lot going on behind the scenes, can’t get too invested. It’s all for entertainment
Utterly ridiculous to judge a tattoo artist with 17 years' experience for not having tattoos. Imagine speaking to a surgeon or oncologist like that! GET OUT OF HERE WITH THIS BS! I found it hilarious that he came back in with the sharpie drawings, he responded to a harsh and ridiculous judgement with humour - i'd love to have him as my tattoo artist over that judge.
Jamie’s elimination was undesevered, and he even made a joke, which I thought was funny.... these judges are dumb...
They said the fact that he had no tattoos had nothing to do with his elimination
@@Dantheman-bw8hv they were literally telling him to get tattoos to know what it was like in the clip lmao. They were bashing him for not having tattoos, which they said made him a worse tattoo artist
@@Dantheman-bw8hv
I know what they said, but it's hard to believe they were being honest. I watched the episode and it definitely seemed like he was eliminated for not having tattoos. In his last "confession" scene he made a valid point. He stated that from the judges own words, "the most consistent tattoo artist will win." He was more consistent than Sarah and he got eliminated before her.
@@93KingSmells like ass kissing and bullshit
Not towards you, but the judges
Okay I get what they were saying about Jamie, but like a good artist is a good artist. And he at that point had 17 years in the game. And was more than likely to have some awesome tattoos in his portfolio. And that should have been enough to earn respect. Like he made it that far in the competition already without having tattoos, so why did it matter that week?
Because they didn't want someone to win who didn't have a tattoo
I would be happy with that wolf. He’s good
Yup
Because the guest judge was a dickhead
Because the guest judge was an asshole
I fully think you can be a tattoo artist and not have tattoos. Also that wolf was great and I fully think he was eliminated out of discrimination against him for not having tattoos. You would think people in the tattoo industry who know discrimination intimately would know better. Hypocrisy.
I love the sharpie though
I agree.
@@personontheinternet3867 Same lol
100% agree
I lost all respect for this show, why did they kick someone out simply because they didn't have tattoos ?
Jamie is a great artist. He can tattoo me any day, so what if he doesn't have any ink himself.
seriously. who gives a shit if your tattoo artist doesn’t have any tattoos as long as they’re good at what they do i’m down
Sad part to me is that Jamie does have a tattoo (I don't know if that was from before filming or after), its just not visible without the use of a black light which is honestly the coolest thing to me.
You can’t be a respected brain surgeon if you haven’t had one lol
@@strangerofthe2067 a brain surgeon doesn't give people brains they do surgery on the brain people already have
@@strangerofthe2067 lmfao you joking right?
He had it before filming, I believe
He just can’t work at a bowling alley lol
I absolutely love the sharpie tattoos. Sensational joke.
I found it so funny 😂
Especially after they judged him so unfairly like that. I think he bounced back well.
I liked it too. In the episode, the other contestants help him draw his "tattoos" and honestly I thought it was a pretty wholesome moment.
It was so light hearted. That guest judge had the hugest stick up his ass I’ve ever seen. Zero humor. Complete drama queen, whining about respect, lmao no one cares dude.
Jamie kinda got screwed over
Ya that shits crazy. That guest judge whoever he was is a clown, he should not have gone home
The guest judge was a pompous ass with a high and mighty attitude. It's similar to people in the biker community accusing others of not being a "real" biker cause you don't ride a Harley.
I did love the sharpie though
@mikeyderrick387 Has a shop in Plymouth. Work is iffy, and a lot of locals don't like him. Wonder why.
They main focus is how bad the actual mistake is
Came to the comments just for this
some of the contestants probably did notice while she was doing it but didn't say anything, much like you'll see when mistakes are usually made. like the one where Cleen and his partner had the thumbs of the buddha drawn on wrong and another team noticed halfway through. and told everyone else but waited till after they'd already fucked up and finished it.
cause thats an advantage- if she noticed, she could've been able to try to fix it and made it look slightly better or even just squeaked by and saved herself. smart move
idc what anyone says, Jamie should’ve NOT gone home just bc he didnt have tattoos, his piece was one of the best ones & i do think its just stupid how he got sent home for one dumb reason
I would get a tattoo from Jamie any day of the week. His wolf was badass and would love that on my arm
I feel so bad for the artist at 11:30. In real life he would have told her to kick rocks
That woman was even a nightmare during the redemption episode for Nick. I think Steve Teft came in on that one also, to offer her an alternative choice and HE even got frustrated with her.
I swear she was on drugs
Tamara Sauls yeah he did, nick tried getting redemption against tefft, she either could tattooed by the ink master or an ink master competitor, but she chose an ink master, and even tho that she chose Steve she still didn’t look to thrilled getting a tattoo as well, like if u look back at the video, she gets in the chair and she didn’t look thrilled 😂, and then nick got redemption by tattooing Dave Navarro, that was badass
@@White2530 Oh yeah, Dave got like, a small dagger/knife? Where it was placed on his arm was perfect too.
Tamara Sauls even tho it was a little banger it was still pretty nice
Yeah you loved your granny so much you didn't want to pay a dime to get a tattoo of her. Instead go on a reality TV show and get it for free from one of the best New school artists that hasn't done a portrait in a decade. Yeah, you loved her soooooo much lmfao
Yeah, which is pretty shitty but altho 1 thing to know is that obviously, they don’t get to choose the artist of the 1 they feel confident in and then they fucked up cuz they thought they got a good artist, so that’s on them 😂
Yes lol
You know what? I don’t even *want* this comment. I’m just trying to get to the beach.
@@roostermcscratch9060 why don't you have a seat right there.
Facts
I feel bad for Nick she was a crazy client and so indecisive, she shouldn't of gotten a tattoo with how indecisive she was about it.
Jamie’s was clearly the better tattoo, these judges disgust me time and time again.
You don’t need tattoos to be a great tattoo artist that’s like saying having tattoos makes you a great tattoo artist
Exactly! It’s like saying that brain surgeons need to go through brain surgery to be a great brain surgeon. Makes no sense
judging a book by its cover, is basicly what they're doing with tatoo virgin guy ...
Apparently he has one but its only visible via blacklight which is sick!
I kind of feel like they were discriminating against him for being a little person. Wether they consciously did that or not I'm not sure
Look, she's nuts, but not bipolar. I hate when people throw that word around. Having mood swings is in no no way the same as being bipolar.
Dead_beat Bunny agreed. bipolar disorder is a real mental illness that has to be diagnosed. i think she’s just fucking crazy
Cryptical Jae totally agree, also sorry to be picky but BPD isn’t bipolar it’s borderline personality disorder. Not trying to be rude or anything just have bipolar disorder.
Look have you ever gone to the barber? And you just want to look good and then you trust the barber. your only request is do not make it too short and THEY MAKE IT TOO SHORT.
This is what happened and happens alot with artisits its not for them to like it its for the client to like it
I've got bipolar but I'm not that much of a cunt lol
Steve was obviously the strongest throughout this season, but I honestly felt that Jamie could’ve surprised everyone and won the whole thing. Dude got bullied for no reason
The red head girl that Nick had was absolutely crazy! I feel bad for the poor guy
The whole “no tattoos from a non tatted artist” is antiquated. I remember inked having a video talking about this. If your a great artist with a great tattoo portfolio, your life decisions don’t matter. Their art is what matters.
Jamie got screwed, Sarah should've went home
“I don’t respect a tattoo artist with no tattoos” …. bro WHAT? you gone knock a bomb ass hairdresser just because they bald?💀
Bro your comparison had me dead 🤣
Still don't know why they have random guest judges that some of know nothing about tattoos.
I feel bad for Nick, he just got a bad canvas, seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
I feel like the votes towards Jamie was bias on the part of the dude in the hat. That guy seemed pretty pissed about the no tattoos and the drawn on fake tattoos. Idk that's just what it seemed to me
Watching season 2 in Netflix and very disappointed with the judges in the last few episodes. They let go 2 of the best tattooers and kept people that should had been gone.
Agreed Jamie’s elimination was BS he didn’t win a lot but was consistently in the top I do think he should have been in the finals over Sebastian or Sarah Sebastian was a jack of all trades but a master of none

Ya its legit I think as well. Its just cause its so black and its a cover up. The tattoo itself is solid though
I thought it was a good tattoo. I just don't understand when they cover up a tattoo that is the size of a silver dollar with something huge. (the guy should just own the tattoo or turn it into a seahorse IMHO)

The judges for this show are so awful.

Judges when talking to Nick : “you should’ve stood up for yourself.”
Judges: *says that someone’s body is everything to them*
Also judges: I don’t like that you don’t have tattoos, therefore you don’t deserve a chance at a 1000000 dollars
My best tattoos were done by someone without tattoos so I really didn’t understand why they were being so dramatic about Jamie not having tattoos. There’s people covered in tattoos who didn’t do work as good as Jamie’s.

Why are they so annoyed about him not having tattoos 😭 that ain't none of their business, plus the tattoo was great!!
Jamie should have showed them middle finger, what they did to him was so disrespectful
I hate that the judges don't give leeway for artists when their client is bonkers. Nick didn't deserve to go home for that tattoo, he probably would've done something better if that chick wasn't flip flopping the entire time.

It’s not because of the wolf not having enough shading that wolf was boom. It’s was realistic and when you see the tattoo you’ll know what it is and the pose and stuff was awesome
I can't believe they harped on Jamie for not having tattoos, treating that like it's a component of the work he does. It's a tattooing competition. His tattoo was definitely better than Sara's
