It’s crazy that the boys ENTIRE show has been “supes bad we need to defeat them” and gen v is the complete opposite, where the main antagonists plan would be EXACTLY something butcher would do. I think it goes to show how expertly the writers can grasp the concept of being morally grey, where we can both root and be against the same exact kinds of people
Well these are kids who haven't done anything as bad as the older supes, intentionally. But I like how Gen V is showing us how the young supes become so twisted and dysfunctional.
i thought that same thing yesterday when i was watching it with my buddy “i feel like this is something butcher would do…. but wouldn’t do at the same time” 😅😅😅
Shetty was a super interesting character. She's essentially on the side of the Boys, just a bit more extreme. If she was a character in the Boys she'd be a good guy, but they were clever putting her in Gen V to make her seem like more of an antagonist. Potentially setting up a civil war type thing between some of the protagonists from this and protagonists from the boys. At the very least, if Sam and Cate make it out they could definitely be bad guys in the main show. I can see Cate and Sam as bad guys, Marie (and maybe more) joining the Boys. It's also cool how Cate and Andre are basically Magneto and Professor X, with the side they're on flipped.
Shetty wouldn't be a good guy. She killed potentially innocent young people who happened to be Supes. Butcher would do the same thing if he could but the rest of The Boys wouldn't agree to that.
I really really believe she is alive. Its a DAMN trick, i don't know how, but it is😂. It's all a plan to provoke our Main group into wrecking the school, maybe justifying a "counterresponse" like the virus. And of course, Sam falls for it, which i really really HATE. Because of something happens to Sam, then what's the point of the show? The show was basically about saving him
I love how it shows how truly powerful Marie could be now, she could legitimately kill people with a look like Neuman does, but possibly more powerful than Neuman because Neumans eyes do the weird gloss over thing, meanwhile marie looks normal and she doesn’t have to make contact with the body part. She could literally walk into a crowd and make people explode without even a hint of anyone thinking it’s her
That girl pretty much said it “we are superheroes we can do what we want”. That’s homelander thinking. Now sam is looped In because the doctor have been limiting him and holding him captive. Not only that he has been accepted by people who think this way like Rufus and those other kids.
I have a feeling Emma is gonna have to kill Sam. His schizophrenia is a problem when he’s as strong as, say, Maeve. It’s gonna be a complicated moment that messes Emma up, but she’s one of the only ones who can physically over power him in her giant form.
Let's say if you were a Jew in Nazi Germany who escaped and these Germans saw you. Even though they are "innocent civilians", they might call the Nazis on you and they get you and possibly kill you. So in that scenario, you would have to kill innocent civilians to protect yourself, no? Sam was tortured and experimented on and one day they could decide to kill him, so what are his options? Running away all his life and hope that one day all humans are now good and would never hurt him? Does it actually make him bad to kill in self defense, especially from his perspective?
Yes Sam is now radicalized but i think when he says "Justice" it comes from him and bis brother being tortured by them. Justice for him but not for everyone else.
Yah, if Neuman were more unhinged, like Homelander, she could've just started popping heads in that crowd to make a point (like with the congressional hearing). "You will not control us!" *POP*

Yeah. Also, someone pointed out that the little girl who Maeve suggested they save was Shetty's daughter since she was the only kid on the plane. But Homelander refused. It's funny that this has come full circle. If this virus becomes a problem for Homelander, then he just might have planted the seeds for his own demise by letting that plane go down. Or even saving the little girl as Maeve had suggested since she was the only child on the plane. Am sure Shetty would be doing much better if she at least had her daughter. It would have been easier to only mourn the husband.
Mannnn the amount of plot twists, emotional manipulation, and aweomse reveals definitely show how much thought goes into the writing and characters of this show.
Now imagine if at one point we'll get a Marie versus Cate situation and Marie blows up Cate's hands to stop her from manipulating others which will only fuel Cate's rage so she will learn how to manipulative people using her mind only. Like maybe her using physical touch is a way for her to stay grounded and once she lost that, she'll really be officially in her villain era.
I’m glad we got another MarieJordan kiss those two are perfect together, who was Mallory talking to? Butcher? The Boys? That headpop was predictable. That promo for the finale LOOKS insane especially with Cate and Sam siding with the likes of Homelander holy shit, Marie will be able to headpop eventually holy shit Wtf is she gonna do with that virus
I believe somehow Butcher is going to get a hold of that bio weapon when they off Victoria Neuman, and there's going to be a recreation of how the comics ended. (Last Man Standing: Hughie vs Butcher)
I'm not sure if Shetty is actually dead. Reason being is that last we left off with Shetty and Cate, she really told the truth that she loved her and we know Cate just yearns for that. I can't be sure obviously, but I feel like Cate still betrayed her friends, which would also make sense why she stopped Marie from helping since Marie would sense that there's no actual blood. It's a theory obviously, if she's dead as was shown, I concede. But this show has had several moments where they portray one thing and then it turns out it's something else
I agree, but I feel like the blood was real. It was just not real Shetty. They already showed us shapeshifters in the show. It could've been the guy that turned into Rufus. That's why Cate had bloody eyes. She controlled his looks and what he was saying. And that's why (spoiler from the trailer) she's gonna free the kids from The Woods. That's what Shetty wanted. For the virus to spread. And at this point some of them are for sure infected. And even if Cate was telling the truth and Shetty is dead - the virus is still gonna be out there for season 4 of The Boys.
It's gonna be the gen v version of X-men as in supes switching sides and culminating in a finale where friends injure each other within the main cast. Ending with Sam harming emma and then running away, leaving carnage in his path. Marie will realize her true potential with her powers. (When I say xmen, I mean a bit of first class mixed with last stand)
I have to check the credits again, but the music during the scene where Cate made Indira slit her own throat sounded like something Bear McCreary would compose.
The 2 twists in this episode genuinely surprised me. Usually you can see stuff coming, but nope. And I still can’t tell whether it was planned in the boys show or if it’s a separate thing altogether. The boys, Gen V and Banshee, shows that I couldn’t predict anything and dodged every expectation 🔥👏🏽
@@Amber-tk8hd nah lad, it’s a separate show. Antony Starr (guy who plays homelander) is actually the main character in it tho. It’s not related to the boys in any way, just a show I couldn’t predict anything in👍🏽
If you are thinking you can watch this show without watching The Boys this episode basically tells you no you can't because you would be completely lost
Tbh once again Jordan li proves he/she is the real hero. Mostly selfless and always the first to step up when it comes to heroic actions. Definitely deserves no.1
Ayo remember that shape-shifting kid from Ep 5? Yeah. Shetty probably told Cate to push him "to be okay" with taking her form and dying as cover-up. After all, no one looks for a dead person..
Gotta love the difference between neuman and marie who have similar powers but different moralities and goals. Marie is a true hero, using blood whips to contain people and healing compared to neuman’s exploding heads. Its a breath of fresh air to have some “good” supes, sure they are flawed but emma, marie, jordan, etc are decent people unlike the absolute freaks most adult supes are.
There is a Korean drama called “MOVING” has same thing of kids with super powers and it’s really really good and heartfelt. Good acting and story!! Maybe y’all should watch it. If not reacting on your own. It really good. Love you guys! Been watching y’all since I was a in high school 🤙🏾
One thing not talked about enough is the emphasis on the mental state of supes in this series. It seems that the more dangerous/powerful ones are all a little nuts, while there are only a handful of non-insane ones that are powerful. In general, most of the supes we've seen have issues and Compound V is usually a big factor in that.
Second watch and I’m now questioning Shettys confession. Cate was alone with her and while yes we know what Shettys plan was what she said there might be more. Like I don’t think the “look what you did to your parents” is something she would have said to Marie, even in anger or in a last breath. Like was her last assignment for Cate for her to kill everyone in the woods or did Cate push her to say that and also beg for her to wipe her memories to make it believable
Power corrupts all. Sam is a blank slate and he is getting pulled in and I’m a way manipulated. He gets tied in with Rufus and that warps his way of thinking.
Victoria Neuman not really surprised with offing the head of the scientist in the end as he would be a liability. Victoria Neuman is kind of the Red Queen in both The Boys and Gen universe.
Cate has magneto 21:21 ideology’s and Andre Anderson has metal powers his powers aren’t telekinesis which is what I thought at first. He has increased durability super strength and metal manipulation powers.
Did Cate really kill Indira? Can she cast illusions to make them think she killed her? She's starting to look like she's the most powerful of the group
Imagine 23:39 being able to tank a homelander laser vision f ing nobody except people with durability can withstand it but Marie Moreau does it’s crazy
I keep seeing these rumors posted that Kripke said the season finale of Gen V will be the beginning or lead into the beginning of Season 4 of the Boys and the finale of The Boys Season 4 will lead into the 2nd season of Gen V, but I don't know of the legitimacy of it.
With Victoria we see her simply explode parts of people so it seemed like her power was to make organic matter explode or something. It wasn't showing a leaning towards simply being blood powers in my opinion
Gen V is arguably the best superhero show of the year... What I like about this universe is that even the Supes themselves are flawed Their vulnerability and at the same time just navigating their way thru that is amazing
these versions of the boys teaming up with the og boys needs to happen. and the moment we actually got to learn more about sam, i immediately thought of kimiko and how the sucky thing is that sam might become a villain when i could him and kimiko becoming friends and relating to each other. both were young and tortured, lost their sibling, wants to be normal and treated normal and fairly, afraid of their powers and of hurting people. it would’ve been cool to see kimiko maybe become what frenchie is to her, a guide and safe space. sam already has emma in a sense but not the way i could see him and kimkio relating and it sucks that that probably won’t happen.
I think half the group will go with the 7 and the other will go with billy and them BUT I do think Sam will become the self sacrificing hero and not make it past this season

This was such a good episode. It's like X2: X-Men United with Indira Shetty who just wants to eradicate Sups with new revelation as to how she lost her daughter and husband to Homelander in season 1 of The Boys. The normalcy for Sups is just getting worst and worst. They are literally the victims now and they need a savior. The other option is maybe Indira Shetty just wants to turn Sups against Sups by making them kill each other. She wants to create a Sups civil war.
I really wonder what happened to Andre's dad. Was it the virus or something else? Just seems like an odd moment for him to have a stroke or seizure. Really like the direction they took this show and how intertwined it is with The Boys.
I think Russell red Sam's memory and thought he might flip out during the protest. 😮 also I think Victoria knew about the woods just not about the virus her expression changed when the virus was mentioned

The dean lost her family on the plane that homelander took down and refused to save anyone. Looking for vengeance the same way butcher is.
Shetty wants to kill everyone. Butcher just want to hurt a select few supes.
Shetty isn't dead. Cate"s last push was to do that illusion to them to believe she is dead.
The acting was so good in this episode. I'm really enjoying your reactions to this series.
Mannnn the amount of plot twists, emotional manipulation, and aweomse reveals definitely show how much thought goes into the writing and characters of this show.
Head-Popper is doing to Marie what Gus Fring did to her 🧠 Yes i know i'm a genius thanks 😎
Cate is about to be the Magneto of the boys universe and I’m here for it
“Age 11”
“Oh her parents” 😂
This episode had me properly shooketh💀. Im still recovering, even right now.
And the perfect song choice at the end had me on the floor🤣.
@@wikunia314wow what a theory
I don’t think so because Cate’s eyes were different when she used them earlier in the show.
This episode was great! So excited to see the Finale next week! 👍
Final!, It already abt to end?.
When do the boys come out?
Theories for the finale?!
Honestly i have no idea
No clue
its the Boys universe so There will be kocks thats all i know
It's gonna be the gen v version of X-men as in supes switching sides and culminating in a finale where friends injure each other within the main cast. Ending with Sam harming emma and then running away, leaving carnage in his path. Marie will realize her true potential with her powers.
(When I say xmen, I mean a bit of first class mixed with last stand)
Everyone dies? :D
I have to check the credits again, but the music during the scene where Cate made Indira slit her own throat sounded like something Bear McCreary would compose.
This F'N show with Loki holy crap we are being blessed
This spin-off show just keeps on getting better and better
The 2 twists in this episode genuinely surprised me. Usually you can see stuff coming, but nope. And I still can’t tell whether it was planned in the boys show or if it’s a separate thing altogether. The boys, Gen V and Banshee, shows that I couldn’t predict anything and dodged every expectation 🔥👏🏽
Banshee? Is that another spin off of the boys?
@@Amber-tk8hd nah lad, it’s a separate show. Antony Starr (guy who plays homelander) is actually the main character in it tho. It’s not related to the boys in any way, just a show I couldn’t predict anything in👍🏽
Dean Shetty: Make the Supes virus Airbourne
Billy Butcher: Oi i Love this kunt
If you are thinking you can watch this show without watching The Boys this episode basically tells you no you can't because you would be completely lost
Tbh once again Jordan li proves he/she is the real hero. Mostly selfless and always the first to step up when it comes to heroic actions. Definitely deserves no.1
I’m almost certain Schetti faked her death with mind control and that was the last “push” she mentioned
30:16 this entire part, this is why you guys are my favorite 😭😭💀💀
I was waiting for Victoria Newman to pop dr cardosa head off after she got the virus
When she said that he was the only one who knew the formula for the virus. I told myself in my head "now blow his head off"
Ayo remember that shape-shifting kid from Ep 5?
"etc" буквально Андре чуть не убивший человека и его это совершенно не волнует. Точно не порядочный человек.
GEN V has been so fucking good😭😭💀 its made my jaw drop
30:00 has anybody got any of that😂
Cardosa was so nice too 😂 "ah.. the air must be a little dry.. *pop"
Never tell someone you are the only one who can recreate a deadly weapon!!!
I hope we see billy butcher next week
can't wait for the boys makin scene on the finale
One thing not talked about enough is the emphasis on the mental state of supes in this series. It seems that the more dangerous/powerful ones are all a little nuts, while there are only a handful of non-insane ones that are powerful. In general, most of the supes we've seen have issues and Compound V is usually a big factor in that.
I think the most important question of them all, whose going to drink that piss-whiskey in the next episode???
Second watch and I’m now questioning Shettys confession. Cate was alone with her and while yes we know what Shettys plan was what she said there might be more. Like I don’t think the “look what you did to your parents” is something she would have said to Marie, even in anger or in a last breath. Like was her last assignment for Cate for her to kill everyone in the woods or did Cate push her to say that and also beg for her to wipe her memories to make it believable
Yeah I think this was staged
Character "we have the same goals right"
Greg "sure"
John "nah dude she is going to blow up your head" 🤣🤣
Power corrupts all. Sam is a blank slate and he is getting pulled in and I’m a way manipulated. He gets tied in with Rufus and that warps his way of thinking.
Watching you guys on loki and gen v on Thursdays are amazing and I can't wait for you guys watch Invincible season 2
This show has been such a surprise. I might even say I like it more than season 1 of The Boys...
This has been on of my favorites reation videos from you guys
Victoria Neuman not really surprised with offing the head of the scientist in the end as he would be a liability. Victoria Neuman is kind of the Red Queen in both The Boys and Gen universe.
the lesson here is if anybody ever asks if you're the only one who knows something, you never ever admit that. 😄
The whole oh he’s got a gf bit was so funny, true friends right there
Koy getting roasted for bringing up his GF was the best part of this video
As soon as you finished saying “I feel like im almost there”, you were
I’m screaming at y’all jumping Coy for mentioning his girlfriend and Jack 😂😂😂😂😂
Cate has magneto 21:21 ideology’s and Andre Anderson has metal powers his powers aren’t telekinesis which is what I thought at first. He has increased durability super strength and metal manipulation powers.
Did Cate really kill Indira? Can she cast illusions to make them think she killed her? She's starting to look like she's the most powerful of the group
The new season of The boys about to be so crazy
What I like about this universe is that even the Supes themselves are flawed
Their vulnerability and at the same time just navigating their way thru that is amazing
I love you guys chemistry it so authentic.
these versions of the boys teaming up with the og boys needs to happen. and the moment we actually got to learn more about sam, i immediately thought of kimiko and how the sucky thing is that sam might become a villain when i could him and kimiko becoming friends and relating to each other. both were young and tortured, lost their sibling, wants to be normal and treated normal and fairly, afraid of their powers and of hurting people. it would’ve been cool to see kimiko maybe become what frenchie is to her, a guide and safe space. sam already has emma in a sense but not the way i could see him and kimkio relating and it sucks that that probably won’t happen.
I think half the group will go with the 7 and the other will go with billy and them BUT I do think Sam will become the self sacrificing hero and not make it past this season
What makes me sad is that you’re probably right. He’s my favorite character too.
3:55 Now THAT cracked me up! 😂 This is what sets this reaction channel apart from all the others. The chemistry between y’all! 🤣
Edit: Oh, and this too! 🤣🤣 🤣
29:40
24:58 It was never shown. She was known only as the head popper.
Love to see Marco Pigossi (Edison-The Doctor) having more screen time, specially since he’s brazilian and im brazilian too!!!! (Even tho i didn’t end that well 😅)🇧🇷
Did you love his head pop, too?
@@tutorialslave HAHAHA not really it was kinda gross, but still fun tho hahahaha
I love the fact that i didn't see the end coming , like I didn't expect that lol. I thought Kate and Shetty had devised a plan to trick the others.
So that means when Kate told Shetty she was telling the truth it was just Kate faking that she believed her, wow I love that twist. ❤
No she WAS telling the truth but Cate didn’t care because Shetty was trying to genocide the supes.
Yepp MarieJordan are sooo cute they're my favourite ship in all of Boys/Gen V
This was such a good episode. It's like X2: X-Men United with Indira Shetty who just wants to eradicate Sups with new revelation as to how she lost her daughter and husband to Homelander in season 1 of The Boys. The normalcy for Sups is just getting worst and worst. They are literally the victims now and they need a savior. The other option is maybe Indira Shetty just wants to turn Sups against Sups by making them kill each other. She wants to create a Sups civil war.
I think I missed something. What was the mystery they solved from an episode of The Boys? It's been a while..
I really wonder what happened to Andre's dad. Was it the virus or something else? Just seems like an odd moment for him to have a stroke or seizure.
Really like the direction they took this show and how intertwined it is with The Boys.
I swear to god, like 2 weeks ago I saw someone comment randomly: “what if shettys daughter was in that plane?” 🤯
Sam and Cate are those types of heroes who would follow homelander while marie would be the starlight type
I think Russell red Sam's memory and thought he might flip out during the protest. 😮 also I think Victoria knew about the woods just not about the virus her expression changed when the virus was mentioned
That girl with the red hair in the snowy hallway and at the rally with the pink eyes. That couldn’t be Atom Eve could it?
😮
I think the Supes are going to band together against humans and try to take all the power
10:30 This scene reminded me of "Real Genius"
Haven’t watched the reaction yet omg this episode was so goooood!!
Who know this show would become such essential Boys universe viewing
My prime membership ended so i came here lol
I bet Kate is making them See that Shetty did that and is betraying everyone again. 21:48
A supe with superpowers, one being that you forget about them the second they leave your sight… named Stranger Danger
