My testimony: After being an atheist for 8+ years, and "married" to another female, I got the urge one day to say out loud "IF there is an Almighty God that does NOT wish us pain or sorrow, please bring me truth, I wish to know you exist". Then God immediately started bringing me the answers I had been searching 8-11 YEARS for! I witnessed Him take control of my internet and the rest of my reality; He first proved to me that demons exist (I called them "inter-dimensional beings"), then He proved His own existence, which I later found to be Jesus Christ. As soon as I found Jesus at the end of 2020, He IMMEDIATELY took away my transgenderism, bisexuality, depression, daily suicide attempts, self harm, bulimia and anorexia; and He did this all without me asking Him to, because THAT'S how merciful and loving He is! Praise God!

I’ve been having an unsettling sort of anxious feeling the past two days and i believe it has stemmed from the something similar to the topic you covered today. Sort of trying to take control and putting too much focus on the bridge beneath me and feeling like I’m missing something that’s going on around me. When in reality I need to seek up and deeply trust in God. This serves as sweet clarity and I’m grateful to have come across this so divinely as it popped up on my subscriptions tab today. God bless you!

That's where I was at for a few years being anxious with situations that I have replayed in my head due to what I've experienced but along the way I had to experience the situations as almost to change my dark behaviors in my head and my actions and open up to God what was happening in my heart. Walk by the spirit and don't gratify the desires of the flesh Galatians 5:16
Don't let the devil take you down because you're God's child too and what you're going through. Use what you're going through to deflect what the devil is trying to do to make you feel anxious and tell him "I don't have time for this" or "I'm a child of God and you don't have me" something like that. Blessings upon you!

Your theology isn't cold or purely intellectual which is where many fall into. I can tell your personal walk with Jesus and your prayer life strongly affects your content and this is an easy channel to recommend to fellow brothers. Thank you. I've been thinking about myself with my relationship with God. I'm working on areas in my life with being more aware of myself of what I should/shouldn't or can/can't say to other people. I think about the verse of Galatians 5:16 along with loving other people from 1 John 3 more recently. I have to examine my heart more of my motives and how to react to issues whether its sin or how to be encouraging with someone's sin to be there for them and let them know from being accountable. It's just that I don't know where my future holds with a career where would God want me. I love movies but it's something I've been thinking about or a job with Special Education. I don't know. I have let a lot of messes go recently in my life to God as I don't have time for those issues to rehash on and I've moved forward that I've been feeling better about myself this year than last year. My point is don't think of the future that's like in The Terminator or District 9 but everything is going to be okay. Whatever you're thinking about right now that you might be scared of the future or tomorrow or something focus on today because God knows about tomorrow and we don't.

This is a great video and resonates with me. I do have some control issues. However, the idea that "God does everything" (5:10) is that it makes it sound like we sit back and do nothing while God does everything. I know there is a balance in this. I believe he requires things of us but my fear has been that I won't know my part or do it right and because of that He won't do His part.

Just living day-to-day accustomed to the mundane, the random and the absurd…it’s hard to imagine God is present in all of that especially knowing God is extraordinary, even if you are a Christian you must admit trying to see past that is very difficult. Sometimes, it really does take a miracle to push someone to take that extra step to trust in God.

When I was first saved at the age of 16 I was completely enveloped in God. I trusted him in everything. Fast forward to the age of 21, my fiance cheated on me. I prayed every night for this girl and the marriage we were planning. I prayed for safety and that our relationship could prosper to glorify Him. When she cheated on me my world stopped spinning. My life was so dark. I didn't blame God but I accepted that God's plan was not my own. I feared God so deeply. The only thing that pulled me out of that depression was prayer but that fear has really scarred me. I am now married to a godly woman and every week a shed a tear in fear of the thought that God could take her from me at any moment. As much as I want to tell an awesome redemption story, my relationship with God has never been the same since that time of my life.

The harsh reality of life hits us so that we become able to live it regardless of blessings. I think you've grown on that front. Do you think you could cope with it again? Perhaps if you fully accept the possibility that it could happen and trust and love God regardless, maybe thats what he wants and you'l find that thats all he ever wanted. For you to acknowledge that HE is all you need. Like when abraham was about to sacrifice his own son, God only wanted that he WOULD have, but he blessed by allowing him to keep him. Maybe if in your heart you wouldnt forgive God if the same thing happens over again, then it might actually happen. Because God wants you to give it up to him, in your heart.

You seem very kind and gracious. My heart breaks for you and everyone else that follows religion. I was there once too. We are/were living out a fairytale. I wanted there to be a loving god but it's so unlikely and it definitely isn't Yahweh or Shiva or Buddha or Zeus or Dionysus, etc. Have you researched the origins of the Judeo Christian god? He was a minor war god with a wife and siblings and a father of his own. He was part of polytheism. The transition from polytheism to monotheism is quite interesting. There are countless documentaries and books you can read. The Israelites chose to worship Yahweh and other groups chose other gods. Leaving Yahweh's wife out is cold. Anything to leave women out or put them down. Christianity hijacked Judaism and changed it into something that wasn't true. Jesus did not fulfill the prophesies. The original Hebrew will tell you that. We can debate all day on whether Yahweh or any god is good but knowing if he or she or they is real is the meat and potatoes of the topic. Evolution is real. There are many issues with the validity of the Bible and other religious texts. We do not know if there is no god. The ones we have heard of make no logical sense. I read and studied the Bible and went to various churches and prayed and believed in Jesus with all my heart but he wasn't there, because he isn't real. We can still be happy and live well without a supernatural being running the show. Please don't let your faith cloud your reasoning. Believe what you want but think about it. It's not demonic to think. I found your channel when I still believed. Now it's so different. I wish you well and hope this doesn't come off mean. ❤

*The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.***
*Famous stories such as the Fall of Man and the Great Flood were originally conceived and written down in Sumer,* translated and modified later in Babylon, and reworked by the Assyrians ***before they were used by the Hebrew scribes for the versions which appear in the Bible.***
***In revising the Mesopotamian creation story for their own ends, the Hebrew scribes tightened the narrative and the focus but retained the concept of the all-powerful deity who brings order from chaos.*** Marduk, in the Enuma Elish, establishes the recognizable order of the world - *just as God does in the Genesis tale* - and human beings are expected to recognize this great gift and honor the deity through service.

    From a Biblical scholar:
"Many stories in the ancient world have their origins in other stories and were borrowed and modified from other or earlier peoples. *For instance, many of the stories now preserved in the Bible are* ***modified*** *versions of stories that existed in the cultures and traditions of Israel’s* ***older*** *contemporaries.* Stories about the creation of the universe, a cataclysmic universal flood, digging wells as land markers, the naming of important cultic sites, gods giving laws to their people, and even stories about gods decreeing the possession of land to their people were all part of the cultural and literary matrix of the ancient Near East. *Biblical scribes freely* ***adopted and modified*** *these stories as a means to express their own identity, origins, and customs."*

Atheist here. What on earth are you saying?
You sound as if you have as many problems as does the average atheist. And you sound as if you have as many successes as the average atheist.
So I reckon you need to tone down some of your hyperbolic language and be more reasonable and grounded in how you talk about your faith. Stop raising unrealistic expectations in your followers by hollow promises.
For example, years ago weren't you preaching - "Happy is the man who trusts the Lord" - and telling your viewers just how wonderful life was thanks to the fact that you trusted God?
Yet here you are, now saying - "This is changing my life, truly, and I need to share it with you because ... it's going to change your life too. For so long, I've let my emotions get captivated by what's going on in my life ...". So, if my question is correct, what was happening years ago if your wonderful life, thanks to trusting in God, was really more dismal than you were pretending?
When do you fellows actually tell the truth? I think be realistic and be grounded in your claims. That way you will actually help people as opposed to offering hollow and unrealistic promises.

As humans we go through ups and downs, good moments and bad moments in our lives. What we have is faith in God in all scenarios.
Even when it seems all is lost, we can feel better knowing that all things work out for good and in the end all will be solved.
Both Atheism and Christianity have to deal with this fallen world, and we think the only one who can help is Jesus Christ.
I hope this helped answer your questions 👍

      Not really.
You seem to be telling me that for atheists and theists (Christians in this case), life has its ups and downs, and life has its problems, but we all have to find ways of navigating life. Christians find it by trusting in Jesus.
But that was not my point.
DD seemed to be saying that he'd *finally* found the way to navigate life after so much disappointment and let down, by trusting in God.
But wasn't he saying years ago that he already had the way to navigate life, by trusting in God?

@@rolandwatts3218 this seems like a question only he can answer because i don't know what his relationship with God is or has been like. I get what you are saying, though.
Its probably something that he knew helped but failed to fully apply until know. But he doesn't really say so im just speculating

@@rolandwatts3218 I believe there is a honeymoon phase when finding God. Could be that. Also the more we walk with him the more he'l train us which means the harder the trials. If anyone ever sais that God made their life sunshine and rainbows then dont believe them. God will put us through struggles but unlike atheists we grow closer to him in them
