Truth!
Here's a vague breakdown to give you a bit of context behind this songs lyrics and the album it's from - Apex(2017).
This is a concept album telling a story track by track about an Immortal being. This is the opening song on the album(chapter 1). It is sung from the Immortals perspective(not all the tracks are), about being awoken in his mountain hollow from a 1000 year sleep. As a covenant of birth, the immortal must do the bidding of whoever awakens him. As the tracks progress, you find out that The Matriarch(which is played by the male vocalist in this song Awakening) was the one to awaken him. She wants him to find her four sons, so she can kill them and perform a blood ritual to gain immortality for herself(pretty dark haha), and his journey to find them. Each son has their own song about them on the album. The closing song Apex, is about the immortal going back to sleep in his mountain and it is a phenomenally written song.
Their new album which came out in August, is a continuation of this story, and the immortal has awoken on a spaceship confused as hell wondering where tf his mountain is lol from the single Abyss. I won't go into the rest of the album lol

3:57, “this girl can scream” but that wasn’t a scream, that was a long held belt followed by a very high mix voice note.

@Krizz: Nice reaction! I've only known Brittney and Unleash the Archers for about a couple of years -- and now that you've heard this band, I recommend you go back in time a bit, and hear who inspired Brittney to sing the way she does: Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of Iron Maiden! Here are my recommendations:
1) Run for the Hills
2) Number of the Beast
3) The Trooper
4) Aces High
5) Fear of the Dark
Unfortunately there's no video for it, but I highly recommend The Wind That Shapes The Land which is my personal favourite Unleash The Archers track along with Legacy (super fast and energetic music with rather slow lyrical pacing and a really aesthetic and cool video) and Dreamcrusher (one of their older pieces with a more heavy / death metal vibe compared to their newer technical / power metal stuff). I've bought the entire discography through Bandcamp to download all the tracks in glorious the FLAC lossless format for maximum quality, and every single song is amazing.

Why were the archers leashed in the first place?
The name comes from medieval warfare, where a field commander holds the firing of arrows -- where they would be "unleashed" or loosed.
In essence, to "leash the archers" is to hold them off in firing, until the enemy gets close enough to be effective.
Their new stuff is great, just absolute perfection, dont get me wrong, but their older albums are just metal masterpieces.
Songs like four in hand, city of Iron, and my personal favorite, Tied to a stag, I love that song
