Just saying, Scott, the drummer, is actually playing in footwear called "aqua socks." Basically, they are a lightweight, water sock with grips on the sole, so someone can grip the bottom of a pool for resistance exercises.

Love it when a band just produces good music and doesn't really care much about their appearance (Bundy Junky shirt reminded me of the typical grunge band outfits). I'm starting to much appreciate both band and Brittney's voice. Tracks are very tight and consistent, unlike most alt/proggy stuff I like, but maybe that's just why I like it. They seem to avoid unnecessary fluff and drama that usually ticks me off in acts of the heavier metal sub-genres. And Brittney is quite different from my other favourite Metal front ladies (Floor and Anneke), but very distinct. Nicely clear and powerful, and the timbre is so fitting to their music. Vocalists perform best in their own band, doing their own songs I think anyway, like generally speaking. Had some good laughs and memories again watching you guys watching them. :)

Brittney is completely "unleashed" in this song and you get her full range and power...nope you haven't heard it yet.....muhahahaha. To be honest...none of their songs disappoint. Faster Than Light is a blistering power metal tribute and Legacy is a more layered and Devin Townsend wall of sound kinda excellent song. Hope to see all of these in the future. So glad you guys are having fun with UtA so far!!! We appreciate it!!

This is a great song to get the pulse pumped up👍
So maybe it would be an idea to react to:
Northward - While love died. Pure sweaty old scool hard rock with one of the best guitarist in the world, plus the absolute best singer in this galaxy - yes - exactly.
    And then:
Northward, Drifting Islands (no video) - but now 2 phenomenal singers from the same family...
Or - you could be safe and go for some Nightwish:
    Elvenjig Elvenpath, Buenos Aires 2018
    Or
The last of the Wild, Nightwish, Wacken 2013
You could of course take all 4, in that way you won't miss anything 😜

So glad you guys got to another of their songs! I absolutely love these guys. While I am not a huge metal aficionado, I do love me some old metal, or new metal with old metal sound. These guys always make me think of Iron Maiden and Dio. Dio mostly for the fantasy stories in their lyrics which is what I loved in much of Dio's work!
If you are liking these guys, and you have liked Nightwish in the past, I am wondering if you might like another band I like that I listen to as much as those two in the last several years. They are kind of put into Prog Metal genre though they are just really metal to me and definitely more like modern day Dio, without RJD of course, and they definitely are influenced by him. Symphony X is the band. I would say Set the World on Fire or Serpents Kiss are available out there. Russel Allen has an incredible voice, if you get a chance to look up him singing with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and you can get an idea too. Such an incredible singer!
Love your reactions! Be well! :)

Hi, guys; THERION, the symphonic metal masters, have just released a new song from their upcoming album, "Leviathan". I'm sure you will gonna love it. Hope you will react to it...

@@kalefu Well, Therion are the ones that invented the genre back in 1996 with the album "Theli". Even Nightwish members have recognized that without Therion they wouldn't be were they are now... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Nightwish, as well as Epica, but Therion's music brings me to an even higher level (of course in music everybody likes what he likes). So my suggestion is that you listen to them, my friend. Greetings from Spain...

    • @grungegrumpy3585
      @grungegrumpy3585 3 года назад +1

@@rafaelsmerdoufranke6157 Therion was one of the pioneering bands indeed, but not the only one and I wouldn't say they 'invented' the genre but rather that they provided some key stepstones to the genre. Just like The Gathering did, whose albums 'Mandylion' (1995) and 'Nighttime Birds' (1997) are considered as break-through influential in doom-goth-symphonic metal and derived genres. Several Mandylion tracks set a new tone for both gothic and symphonic metal styles. I think Therion and The Gathering had quite an equivalent influence on Tuomas and his Nightwish buddies tbh, each in their own way with Therion adding more symphonic sauce and The Gathering adding more goth/prog elements.

IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME!
    AWAKENING
To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed
To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same
This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace
A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way
Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end
Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name
It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream
I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse
My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die
    Come to me, awakening
Follow my voice, come to me
Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here
Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night
Once again revitalized, to roam; to never
