This is so beautiful, love what's been going on. Such a great video you've done. Lots of nice improvements. May I ask what you do with the bagged waste? Just curious. Please don't feel obligated I know some people might be offended, not my intention. Anyways you both have turned this place into something quite special. Thanks for the informative tour. I never realized how affordable Sweden can be.
Thank you, we love our cabins, they are so nice to live in, with nature everywhere. For the bagged waste the main rubbish site in town has a disposal bin, we are thinking of making an incinerator next year, it is surprising how little waste you make (sorry a bit gross) 👍😀. Northern Sweden is very affordable and for summer only living sure solar power and off grid very possible 👍
Love the Amanita Muscaria mushroom by the woodpile. Loved by reindeer and part of Swedish Christmas decorations and folklore. Looks great, you’ve done a great job and have great vision for how things would work better. Can I live there when you’re not there 😁 ha ha
How come your cabin was such a bargain? Sweden is renowned for being really expensive. Do people not want to buy them anymore? I love it. What a lovely life. 😊
They really are amazingly cheap compared to anything in the UK, they are also cheap to own in terms of yearly costs. But they are remote and Winters are very cold we recorded -43C on our max min temp guage this winter 🥶 🇸🇪❤️
It was very cheap, it was almost an abandoned cabin and was just being used as storage. There is no ground rent, we own outright our only commitment is local council tax approx £150 a year for 0-13 weeks using as a holiday home, if we permanently lived in it we would pay 4x ie £600 per year. You see these types of property on Blocket.se 👍
Food for thought this!
We’re planning to live a very different life soon and a cheap remote property in northern Sweden is high on our list 😍🤞🏼
Sounds great! It really is a wonderful part of the world, best of luck 🤞🏼 👍
Haha as a Norwegian that left my country 20 yrs ago, love the fact that you have pizza grandiosa still in Sweden! Priceless ;-)
ICA’s finest pizza 🍕 😁
You have made such a fantastic job of your cabin. It's really wonderfull in every way. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, it’s our little slice of heaven in Sweden 🇸🇪

Also thank you for including the costs of everything, it is SO helpful for others thinking of making the move.
Thank you, the mushrooms 🍄 add to the magic here in Sweden 🇸🇪
No problem, we have gone way over our initial budget, but was worth it 👍

£2k seems really cheap for a Scandinavian country. Do you need need to pay ground rent or lease ?
