Make Me Famous broke up because Dennis was an entitled douchebag and the rest of the band didn't wanna be associated with him, which is why they changed their name to Oceans Red

in case it isnt obvious by the song, the band doesnt care if you hate on their style. also, as a musician i can point out differences between AA's Stand Up and Scream and this. 1) D&D play in drop G# tuning (atleast that's what i've commonly seen in the comments, i find it somewhat hard to believe that but we will never know till someone covers it/ tabs it out.).whereas Stand Up and Scream was entirely drop D tuning. (and for the record, AA has never played below drop B) 2) as anyone can tell, the singing is completely different. Danny, raspy and more manly (now atleast). This guy (sorry im new to the dude and his music) has a cleaner voice and from the live videos ive seen, he can actually sing. Danny couldnt actually sing well until about a year ago (no offence to him) 3) the screaming is quite similar, but with that said the highs are different. i can almost garuntee you that if you had just heard the song, no video, no knowledge of the band or label, and then listened to a prophecy, you 'labelers' as i like to label you (yea i know, screw off) would find it a lot harder to prove your point. and yea, i thought the song was pretty badass, he's clearly telling his old band and anyone else who wants to talk shit about him or his music to fuck off. in the music industry thats a pretty ballsy thing to do. sadly most the haters are apparently deaf or too ignorant to understand that. Down & Dirty plays in Drop G not A :) The tuning it's not important, the important it's to find an own sound and try to don't copy other bands. In my opinion Down & Dirty has an own sound, people compared their sound to Stand Up And Scream only for Dennis screams and growls, because who follows him for long time knows that he's clearly influenced by Danny and Asking Alexandria, but at least he tried to don't imitate others bands like he did in Make Me Famous.

It's sounds like a song they would write but it doesn't sound like them performing. What's wrong with showing your influences. Avenged Sevenfold does it. Asking do it. Motionless in White do it. Why kill a winning strategy?
