One of the most emotional songs that Danny has written and always brings me to tears. Amazing, now he's back & better than ever. For Dennis now its his turn to be moving on.

Lost my uncle yesterday and so far this song has helped me with the pain of losing him and facing this world without him. It helps me to remember that nothing is permanent
Try 24 yrs 22 yrs of marriage was stay at home mom he was very old fashioned men work woman stay home . Drugs abuse and cheating . The 9th time I decided that this time kids were old enough 20 n 17 to make him go now I'm on my own just got a job first time in 24 yrs. And divorced I'm moving on this song got me
I remember when this song was released, I used to listen to this 24/7. I had a crush on a girl I clearly had no chance at, imagine the most beautiful, the sweetest girl in existence. Now, she's 2x that. Since I've became a music producer, I started to get a lot of attention in my city. We weren't talking for the last 8 years, 2 weeks ago she texted me about a music video we released, it was a sad song about a breakup. How ironic lol. We started talking again, she gave me a LOT of hope. I thought this is it, i said let's go champ, work until you get your childhood crush to have a crush on you. It was all lies. I left her place 2 days ago, the same day same night she's sending a picture of another dude laying on his laps, saying it's over. I'm not suicidal, I just kind of feel lost, this song just reminds me of how strong I was when she was ignoring me back then. I don't know, i just kind of wanted to sort of type it out, it feels great to let it all out you know. Keep your head up champ, don't be so naive. Love to you all!
Keep your head up too brother. You're strong! Just remember that as much as these things sting, they are such good lessons that you carry with you for the rest of your life. You're immensely wiser now for having gone through that. Best of luck to you in the future homie, peace and love
the part where james cries then it cuts to him going all out on stage jst gets to me man idk , cos it shows how even though they miss home they'll always try their hardest to put on a good show for their fans who've came out. God i love these guys
Danny looks like the old Dad who used to be a rock vocalist in his younger days and then came to the rescue when his son's band parted ways with their vocalist.
Still listening to this since it was released. Still moving on to better things. Don’t settle for less! I may be alone. But I’m happy and strong and ready for the right one to step in and make it all worth it. Stay strong everyone. If you find you have the strength help those next to you.. Do it! You may be the reason they still breathe. As this song has saved me countless times.
CrescentMoon129 Try growing the fuck up. If anyone needs a reality check it's you. When you get out of the "nobody loves me let me go cut myself" mentality, take a look at what people actually do for you. Chances are, your parents are trying all they possibly can to make you happy. So grow up, and stop being such a little fucking shit.
Volttah DE Hey dude, I'm not the one who had a bitch fit over a comment. Also if CrescentMoon129 act like an immature child over a tongue in cheek comment, I'm gonna call it out.
Como extraño este Asking Alexandria, era buenisimo, ojala algun dia vuelvan a componer albumes como reckless and relentless o from death to destiny, me da mucha nostalgia.
Never listened to Asking Alexandria until I found Danny on Twitch. I love all of their music but this song especially hit me dealing with a divorce and the alcoholism that started from it.
ESTABA MIRANDO UN RECITAL Y SALTO ESTE TEMA SIN HABERLO ESCUCHADO JAMAS.. ME ENCANTO LA TONADA Y RITMO... ASI Q LA BUSQUE INDIVIDUAL Y ACA ME TIENEN... AHORA Q LA ESCUCHE LES DIGO... AMOR A PRIMERA OIDA... AMEEE ESTE TEMA Y ESO Q HACE SOLO UNA SEMANA VENGO ESCUCHANDO ESTA BANDA... TODO UN DESCUBRIMIENTO PARA MI. AHORA ENTIENDO XQ DECENAS DE PERSONAS ME LA RECOMENDABAN....... GRACIAS A TODOS X BENDECIRME TANTOOOOOOOOO.
Asking Alexandria grows up as we grow up. When you get older, you start having a more mature music taste. Not to discredit Stand Up and Scream, but from a production and musician standpoint, From Death To Destiny is MILES ahead of anything they've done so far. They mature more and more on every album. Its cool to not like it, everybody has their opinions and individual tastes in music. I get that. Stand Up and Scream is still a sick album. A Prophecy is probably my favorite song of all time. But you can't flat out say that this sucks and is "selling out" or whatever y'all want to call it. Its an evolvement. Every band evolves. And honestly if you think about it, what album do Asking Alexandria fans get their identity from: Stand Up and Scream. Thats what the world thinks Asking Alexandria fans are all about: open note chugging, 3 breakdowns a song, and no real structure or melody. "Moving On" and almost every song on From Death To Destiny is a great move away from that (without completely changing their identity), and as Asking Alexandria fans, y'all should embrace that. A comparison would be Avenged Sevenfold. Their first 2 albums are pretty metalcore and then the 3 album goes straight into hard rock without completely changing themselves. They continued to evolve as a band and now they sound completely different than they did even from City of Evil. I'm personally not a huge fan of their past 2 albums (especially their most recent) but Avenged Sevenfold established themselves because they evolved. No band goes anywhere making the same album over and over again. If you've read this far, I'm surprised. But all in all, solid work from the band. Can't wait to see these guys again. And to the fans that think this "sucks" or whatever, thats cool that's your opinion and no one should resent that. But I would encourage you to try and appreciate it for what it is: a change in identity from a band that has a pretty shitty identity at the moment.
Very nice! I totally agree! I have heard Danny say they would like to "Change the public's perception of AA." I think this is a positive move on their behalf!
the minds of 7th graders and maybe a few highschoolers thrown in this comment section who pride themselves on labeling each other. most pathetic fanbase
Yeah there's maturing then there's going back in time. This wouldn't sound out of place in the 80's which I think is the problem. They just lost the majority of their fanbase in all probability. It's more than maturation; this is a genre switch.
Trivium used to practice right down the storage shed from me at fairview mini storage in Orlando in 2003. They really sucked honestly. The drummer used to come by and learn licks from my drummer. True story.

Flew from SC to St. Louis in 2015 to see you guys. I’ve blasted this song in my head phones for almost 10 years . Thru high’s and lows. . One of my all time favorite songs . I love you guys. Have helped me through a lot in life man. Wish y’all the best always. 🤙🏻🤙🏻😝😝
This is the first song I've heard from them -- also the first song by them on my local radio station. I really like their sound. Why's everyone hating on them? Send my links of other stuff of their. I'm genuinely curious.
Their other stuff is considered some of the worst of metalcore. Lots of djenty, effortless writing, and random out of place growls made to make wannabe emo girls think their listening to something heavy. I wouldn't let their stuff judge what you think of the genre as a whole.
I tour this country for a living and I'm gone 250 days out of the year. Man this song always hits home for me. Knowing how many people I leave behind every time I step on the plane
If you’re reading this right now I hope your life is going amazing! I don’t know you but based off your music taste I can tell we’d be great friends 🖤 much love to you all
This is the song I listened to after break up with my first boyfriend last year, though I'm already listening to this when I'm single. But after the breakup, this song just hits different. This song really helped me to cope up from the pain. I thank you for this masterpiece.
This song was a favorite of a friend, that we just received news he's no longer with us. He sent me this song years ago and helped me thru my dark time. I wish I could have helped him the way he helped me. Rest in peace, friend.
If this song came out in the 80's it would of been a huge hit sadly pop, and hip hop took over. We will have our time again. Hopefully sooner than later.
Indeed, I love me some 80s music. the 90s, 00s were regressive for me lol. I love the fact these bands are going melodic, very much an 80s streak. Love it.
Amazing on record not live sadly. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love AA but you have to admit he doesn't have the best live singing voice. It was the same thing with Skid Row and Sebastian Bach great on their records and bad live but I love them too.
Nope. I love it too. People are so against how they changed their sound though. Its pisses me off that they expect them to be putting out generic shit like every other metal-core band. Their change is badass! It has an old school rock feel to it!
The guitar riff at the start was stuck like an earworm for the past 2 weeks. Hadn't heard this song in 3 years, now finally getting back to the start of my early rock days.

TYFLOL Danny has a girlfriend, yo.
A boy of anguish, now he's a man of soul
Traded in his misery for the lonely life of the road
The years were cruel to him

Lays awake tryna' find the man inside to pack his bags and escape this world
I've never been so torn up in all of my life
I should have seen this coming
I've never felt so hopeless than I do tonight
I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on
He wanted to change the world, to make it all worthwhile
So he put his pen to paper and poured out everything inside
His red eyes tearing up at the man that he'd became
Slowly, but surely on the fast track to falling into his grave
I've never been so torn up in all of my life
I should have seen this coming
I've never felt so hopeless than I do tonight
I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on
I can't believe I've come so far in such a time
And I'm still fighting on my own
If I stop to catch my breath up I might never breathe again, so just know this:
I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I can't believe I let myself break down
I've never been so torn up in all of my life
I should have seen this coming
I've never felt so hopeless than I do tonight
I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on

10 years later, still a relevant song for those of us that are lost souls.
I'm 58 years old and I love this song
why?
@@yugoaprilian116 why not
why is that a question? This is an amazing song.
No one cares how old you are but if your a fellow fan member then hell yeah
i can relate to that, tough. somehow it reminds me about those ballads in the 80s
Maybe it's just me, but I hear a lot of Brian Adams in his voice. Incredible vocalist.
+Ryan McLaughlin exactly my first thought
I was thinking more Don Henley of the Eagles.
Was thinking the same thing. Like Brian Adams vocals to a w.a.s.p ballad :D
almost sounds like a powerful 80's song
Careless Whisper... Check out Seethers version !)
Exactly and that what makes me full in love with it more and more. Following the old heritage 80's
Sounds like Bon Jovi, but quite a bit heavier
+tommy watson that's what I was thinking too
thanks))
Moving on but you come back again. 2024 still listening to AA✨
Não há dúvidas de que ele cantou com a alma.

Holy shit!, I never noticed him there!

He also appears on AlI Want- A Day To Remember

+Ralph Mettle I noticed him when I first saw the clip, but could not understand why he is envolved in this.

Eu gosto dessa pegada mais Hard Rock desse álbum, uma pena que não será mais assim pois a banda iria crescer muito.

6 years later and this song still just hits different, song of the decade for me🤟
Try 24 yrs 22 yrs of marriage was stay at home mom he was very old fashioned men work woman stay home .
Keep moving forward.
There's no time to feel sorry about yourself.
But ur a legend....move on and and crush it 🦾⚜💯🤜🤛
Music is the cure to everything that needs fixing
@@jesseA6029 amazing quote!
I didn't realize this song was not new. Just heard it for the first time on Octane.
From the moment this song starts playing, you know it is a masterpiece.
the part where james cries then it cuts to him going all out on stage jst gets to me man idk , cos it shows how even though they miss home they'll always try their hardest to put on a good show for their fans who've came out. God i love these guys
This song literally tore me apart, it’s wonderful how a song can speak to you
thought at 17 listening to this i really understood, now at 27 i really do understand, god guided me the best he could
Moving on 2019!!!!!!

Danny is heaven on earth; hIs voice, appearance, presence, humor... he’s everything & I’m so glad he came back to the band!
Oh shit I didn't know he left the band
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ben is the real frontman of Asking Alexandria for me..
I'm so glad my brother introduced me to these guys, been listening to them for a long time. This has to be one of my favorite songs 🖤
Dude has one of the better voices in rock
He sucked trying to sing Chester Benningtons song at his tribute.
His country career is terrible too but thats all country
Definitely a classic voice.
@@davidlandavazo726 no one can be as good as Chester... he is(was) and will be the ONE and ONLY! :) But this dude has great voice as well
David Landavazo what song was that?
Can't quit listening to this song... I've never been so torn up in all of my life.... should've seen it coming...
Stop it! Go to work!

Asking Alexandria finally grew up from generic emo bullshit to generic good music. And Worsnop actually looks like an adult.
Well done.
CrescentMoon129 insulting*
CrescentMoon129 others* -_- damn auto correct
***** This song isn't bad… "A prophecy" is probably my favorite.. but everyone has a different taste… we need more respect over here.
Moving on... BACK!
Im so damn glad this fucking emo kid denis left.... Now i can start listening this again.
Django 87 on some real shit
Django 87 you realize that the black was the same style as stand up and scream right?

Como extraño este Asking Alexandria, era buenisimo, ojala algun dia vuelvan a componer albumes como reckless and relentless o from death to destiny, me da mucha nostalgia.
He's always reminded me of Ryan Dunn. 💜💜 RIP
he lived life to the fullest. as we all should. stay metal

Never listened to Asking Alexandria until I found Danny on Twitch. I love all of their music but this song especially hit me dealing with a divorce and the alcoholism that started from it.
Right there with you brother. Been about a year and half for me. If you havent over come it yet, you will. I can only say it does get better.
I hope youre doing well, dude.

I have heard Danny say they would like to "Change the public's perception of AA." I think this is a positive move on their behalf!
very well said my friend. I feel like a lot of younger fans are too naive to grasp this concept and how the music industry + how bands work.
Preach🙌
the minds of 7th graders and maybe a few highschoolers thrown in this comment section who pride themselves on labeling each other. most pathetic fanbase
Yeah there's maturing then there's going back in time. This wouldn't sound out of place in the 80's which I think is the problem. They just lost the majority of their fanbase in all probability. It's more than maturation; this is a genre switch.
Am I the only one loving the new direction they are heading in?
Nah. I do. We just grow up too.
Yeah dude I agree I still love the old stuff but this new music is just simply amazing
Fallen Richie I agree
Fallen Richie I agree as well

1:55 there is the Trivium's singer?
yup
Cool
Trivium used to practice right down the storage shed from me at fairview mini storage in Orlando in 2003. They really sucked honestly. The drummer used to come by and learn licks from my drummer. True story.
András Balogh
Yup, Matt Heafy
they should do one of those "bring back an old member after a few years for one song" things where they bring danny on stage and play this
+Aiden Macky That would be really awesome but seems that the band is resented with Danny :(
+Aiden Macky sadly, that seems like it'll never happen.

Oh God. Listen to Denver calling. I think that's what it's called. Watch this song in the studio!!! Gives me chills😍 Hell. Just subscribe to them and you won't be disappointed😳😳

This song helped me when I left a toxic relationship in 2018. I get emotional every time it comes on.
Me too! Right now I'm going thru it
Also me. This song truly helps on realizing that you've gotta let go of stuff that puts you on the ground all the time
Same here lol
A modern rock classic.
This is the first song I've heard from them -- also the first song by them on my local radio station. I really like their sound. Why's everyone hating on them? Send my links of other stuff of their. I'm genuinely curious.
Nevermind... I get it. I attempted to listen to their other songs.
Do they have more songs like this one?? This style suits them!
Their other stuff is considered some of the worst of metalcore. Lots of djenty, effortless writing, and random out of place growls made to make wannabe emo girls think their listening to something heavy. I wouldn't let their stuff judge what you think of the genre as a whole.
Thijs Riep if you want more songs like this from hm go look up his new band, we are harlot its just like this
***** "extremely heavy" hahahaha
I tour this country for a living and I'm gone 250 days out of the year. Man this song always hits home for me. Knowing how many people I leave behind every time I step on the plane

It feels like it both singer clashing in one song. It's beautiful. It's like Danny's return and Dennis's exit smashed Into one
This is the song I listened to after break up with my first boyfriend last year, though I'm already listening to this when I'm single. But after the breakup, this song just hits different. This song really helped me to cope up from the pain. I thank you for this masterpiece.

@@SpareParts-m2w I'll have to check them out!
Love it.
I thought it was a cover of an 80s ballad the first time I heard it.

Amazing on record not live sadly. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love AA but you have to admit he doesn't have the best live singing voice. It was the same thing with Skid Row and Sebastian Bach great on their records and bad live but I love them too.

this song can't be done any better than this. I had it on my tumblr playlist right when i heard it
Same danny's voice tho! DAMN

I honestly love it , it's so sad but awesome
Soleil Agresta i know right. They have grown up so much.
This is one of my favourite song by them. its so amazing.
Me too! Hahaha I love them❤️
