You really gotta give it up for Aaron. I was very skeptical at first, and even though it’s never gonna be the Of Mice & Men I got into, I gotta say Aaron is beyond talented. Bass, cleans, and unclean vocals at once.
He's one of my favorite vocalists, but god damn do i hate OM&M. He was a better fit in Jamie's Elsewhere. He does fantastic acoustic songs too.

Hassan Saeed I got a more heavy feeling from this album, kind of like The Flood and everything (we don't talk about cold world) before that, I'm not saying change is bad because that's how things don't get stale. Just look at Metallica, they've sounded the same for the past 18 years and honestly its pretty boring now. But I definitely agree with you on the excitement of the future of this band, this album was killer and I don't think they're slowing down.

Thats because he's a rad drummer check him out. Tanner Wayne. He played drums for Chiodos for 2 years and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. He's currently the drummer for In Flames.

Aaron Pauley's made this band so much heavier. And this very song's a prime example why and how. Aaron Pauley's vocals are just so priceless in way more than a good way. He's been doing really good.
Yeah, it's upsetting Austin's health was getting so horrible, that's why Cold World simply wasn't that good.
Austin's Marfan Syndrome and multiple other issues were just way too much.

I really really love this record a lot. I'm a very oldschool fan as well, I hate the people that can't accept a change of vocals or switch up with bands they 'like'. Like it or not this a very solid metalcore album and musically it's pretty genius.
AHHH I’m screaming I stopped being emo a while ago and I came to check on of mice and men and I’m so proud of Aaron!! He learned screams for Austin so he could continue the band. MAD respect.

Yeah, this stuff sounds more reminiscent of the Killswitch Engage/Bullet for My Valentine style of metalcore vs the Underoath/Blessthefall metalcore "flavor" that was more common in their older material.

Finally got to see OM&M live in London last night and Aaron's voice live is fucking incredible, the whole show was incredible!
I find it cool how bands like Of Mice and Men, Amity Affliction, and Devil Wears Prada are going more melodic now cause:
1. That's how metalcore should sound.
2. It will help the fans get in to more heavier music.
3. They want to help carry on the original sound and style for what metalcore stood for.

Normally, when a band loses their original frontman, they usually go downhill and never recover. Especially when it's someone like Austin.
This is one of the rare cases where the new frontman is just as good, if not better than the original.
