- Of Mice & Men's song "Bones Exposed" comes from their album 'Restoring Force'. Buy/stream at ofmiceandmen.lnk.to/Restoring...
It's like loving a lion that cannot be tamed,
I snap at the thought or the sound of your name.
Pulling teeth from my stomach,
you've been eaten alive.
My blood fills your lungs,
my soul, your inside.
My feet they stand on ashes,
from the fires that you've made.
Burning bridges,
just to save your face.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
I'm sensing a feeling picking wounds of regret,
that left alone there's no scarring ill dig & ill dig,
scratching & itching ill keep biting my lip,
from this pain that I'm feeling,
picking wounds of regret.
A cut cannot heal,
unless you leave it alone.
I'll open mine daily,
leaving bones exposed.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
Standing on ashes from the fires you've made,
burning your bridges just to save your face.
Wounds of regret.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
We're broken, imperfect,
we were all made the same.
We're broken, imperfect,
we are all to blame.

I don't understand why everyone is giving the clean vocalist such a difficult time, I think his voice is amazing.
Jess Mccarthy honestly dude. It's because he gives a better vocal performance in other songs on the album.
@We Alł Đie not really . imo
@We Alł Đie agreed
Ya, clean singing is not bad in metal. And it gives the screamer a small break
Honestly I wouldn’t like this song without the clean vocals
this guy's screams are something really unique i have to say, this quite gives this band a special place in metal, just my opinion though.
I think so too just the way he screams sound way different from others i still love vic and kellin and all of them but austins i think is really special
Joshua you just named the two worst screamers, (if Vic and kellin even classify as screamers) so you're right about austin'so screaming beings unique, but comparing him to shit vocalist like vic and kellin isn't saying much
i wouldnt call his screams unique... i cant place who he sounds like now but ive definitely heard it before. I know on The Flood he sounded like a rip off of Mike from TDWP (which isnt a terrible thing). Hes pretty good but i wouldnt say unique.
Him and Oliver Sykes. Not his new song drown though
Will we please shut up about vic and kellin? They are amazing, just like other people living their dreams. Everyone is special in their own way. The fact that you think vic and kellin suck doesn't mean they actually do. It's just your opinion. So please respect that.. Thank you.
"A cut cannot heal unless you leave it alone I'll open mines daily leaving bones exposed" this always gave me goosebumps
Yeah gives me goosebumps even on my head
"A coconut hill!"
@@ChesterCheeto I was looking for this XD
Legendary love these dudes
Very fitting song for your career, no? I wanna podcast with you and MJK.
austins vocals give me eargasms. MULTIPLE eargasms.

Me too, human.

Agreed I'd do him and I am straight.
So no ones gonna talk about the way Alan swung his guitar?
Oh okay...
Gotta admit, it looked pretty sick.
i swear he did it in like 4 other videos
It was pretty sick ngl
+Renee Johnson No because this is a music video. It's staged. There's like five different recordings done to shoot the entire video, we don't know if he nailed the song after which he probably didn't. It's nothing special.
it was fucking sick
Miss u Austin 😇😇

He's my neighbor!!!!
WHAT
Is he DEAD?! D:
@@janedoe5980 He got throat cancer and quit I believe
Good album. Helped me through bad times.
True power of rock music
Yeah came back here after a long time, I look back on it all as nostalgia even though I was very depressed

It's the most perfect clean guitar flip I've ever seen
Deep lyrics.
Highlights our nature that we don’t really have free will, rather determinism.
dude i got out of my emo phase back in 2015, but damn this is still one of my favorite songs i’ve ever experienced.
This ain't emo lol
this aint emo lol (2)
Emo never dies.
Why does "emo" have to be anything that has screaming in it. It's just music man.
XD
Goosebumps at 3:57, like clockwork everytime.
Hit like a 357 magnum!
Can we take a minute to admire Alan's guitar swing at 2:05?
I think we all need to take several moments to do so.
That's not Alan... That's Aaron..
Eric Draven no that's Alan
Rachel Sievwright its Alan because if you pause it at 2:05 you can tell that person has on a long sleeve shirt, and when Aaron solo comes up you can tell he's wearing a short sleeve so therefore it couldn't be Alan.
It's Alan guys... Aaron doesn't swing his bass around lol.

I feel like after Austin left, he left Aaron as like a single mom left to take care of everyone. And God dammit he did a damn good job
Give the musicians credit lol its not all the singer
@@KI080199 ur right, it’s not. But unfortunately often times the singer/vocalist is the face of the band and helps maintain its popularity and relevance, and when they leave, they go downhill. :(
@@jonalex2526 I honestly don't like their newer content nearly as much as when Austin was part of it. And your right, there's been multiple bands that when their vocalist stopped, they slowly went down.
This should be the top comment!
please listen to them and how much they are doing greater than with someone that has sexual allegations toward him tf, please listen their last album and the whole work they put behind and you will forget about that front ass face bro
2 years+ later and I still fucking love this song 👌
Saaaame, what are your thoughts on the upcoming album?
+Dilly Hughes can't wait, and after listening to Pain I'm quite hopeful that it will be a good one
+Caitlin W same, that and A day to remembers new albums seem really good
Dilly Hughes I just listened to "Real" and its alright but I prefer heavier so I'm hoping most songs on the album are heavier than that. I havent checked that out yet I love their music though

guitar spends ? Do you mean guitar spins ?
Right its so freakin cool
+Linkin_Logs t
I didn't realize that til it was pointed out spin is so beautiful (●´∀`●)
This is BEAUTIFUL. I love the way Austin reaches and leans forward towards the camera.
thats all you can love cause this isnt music
HowdoIComputer How so? It's a vocal or instrumental representation of sounds used to express harmony, beauty of form, or emotional expression. It's music by definition.
HowdoIComputer then why are you even watching it?

Austin isn't a shit screamer, he isn't one of the top 5, but he isn't shit. He's pretty fucking good.
ya ill admit, he DEFINATLY isn't shit. but he's not my favorite
want to see a good screamer THY ART IS MURDER - Reign Of Darkness (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Brendan Van Ryn is awesome that is how an aussie does it.
There is a song that he screams for 19 secs... I hate a lot of that new metalcore bands, but OM&M is exception
YESSS i log of mice and men. and if u don't like a lot of screaming look up bob. they are like glam rock sometimes xD i still like them tho
he is not a good screamer. If you want a good screamer look for Randy Blythe of Lamb of God, Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy, or James "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse
0:56 ICE CREAM CAKES, THEY'RE DELICIOUS!
Thank you that made me laugh, now I’m gonna hear that no matter what 😂😂
You've given a gift and a burden. A gift of a laugh, and the burden of never unhearring that

i hate you take the comment like
I have no idea what I thought was before but now I hear this
Cannot understand who can dislike this. Those who don’t listen to this genre, just don’t listen. For those who do, will definitely like it.
a masterpiece, the song that goes in history as one of the best metalcore songs ever composed

swear to god man... austin's screams in the background of the last chorus always gives me like immediate goosebumps and makes my hair straight stand up.. one of those rare moments on a track that only a few bands ever manage to achieve quite like that, where everything is just so perfect, that it almost makes you start to tear up by how amazing it is. the true definition of an eargasm, for sure.... 3:55
WE'RE BROKEN. IMPERFECT. WE WERE ALL MADE THE SAME.
This is going to drive me insane. PEOPLE. Music is music, and people can like different music. There is also really no need to argue over what genre of music it is. Seriously if you don't like a certain type of music, why would you waste 2 minutes to write a comment then piss people off and then basically start a riot. Just think, is it really worth it?

Art is not divided by new or old. It is either of a good or bad quality. If a song makes me remember it, think about it and return to listen to it again after many years of it`s release, you know the quality I`m talking about.
Happy 10 year anniversary!
That guitar swing gets me everytime 🫠
Aaron's voice just wants to make me cry. It's so beautiful.
Newsflash: Nobody cares that you don't think this is heavy because you listen to Cannibal Corpse.
Seen both bands live, and both were brilliant in their own way.
I fuck more with stuff like Thy art is murder but this is pretty cool too
Its not the heaviness bruh. 😂😂
Thank you Bruh lol I keep telling people they don't get no fuckin cool points for that 😂
This is heavy. Not the heaviest they've done and definitely Not heaviest out there. But its still heavy and I respect that and I like this band. Don't loop all CC fans together. Some are metal elitist asses and some are pretty cool.
Listened to this since I was in middle school, still get chills to this day from that guitar swing😱😱😱🤟🤟🤟

SO WHAT IF I LIKE METALCORE BANDS THAT SOUND THE SAME. THEY'RE IN THE SAME GENRE, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO SOUND SIMILAR. (Just putting this here for people who feel like hating hehe)
not really, they are all supposed to have a unique sound. Not that if you play 2 bands you cant tell if its the same band or not.
Anthony Reyes who can't say that ? bitch please, or point out two bands who sound the same ;) you smartass
Anthony Reyes tehfuq
hitmanqo lol go on pandora and put metalcore. blindfold urself or dont look at screen. then tell me when the band changes.
Jessica Anwar uh how did you know my names TehFuq on everything?
Of Mice and Men will never be the same.
Salvy Ballinas lets hope he gets better :(
Danny Madrigal he won't get better you don't get better with marfans
Salvy Ballinas ikr gay af
Based Salvy That doesn’t mean they can’t be great. They will never be the same, but they will be great.
As a fan of heavier music. How to Survive is their best song yet. This is still sick though
after all these years, 2:05 is still one of the coolest things I've seen
The ending of this song is absolutely perfect, this song has been touching my soul lately, it’s made dealing with this break up a lot easier
Aaron has such a great voice, I really like the clean vocals in this ^-^
(and Austin is amazing as always)
Ahren Stringer is much better
Which songs did he do?? I don't really remember
Well he's in this band called The Amity Affliction, check out the song forest fire or anything else,The Amity Affliction are really good with balancing Joel's (dirty vocals) & Ahrens (clean vocals), they are a good band, with great lyrics lol
Oh cool, I've heard of them, idk why I never listened to them. I'll probably listen to them sometime soon :)
Well you're missing out on a lot, just saying lol.
I think this music video is about the man who sees through everyone's skin, seeing everyone as bad. Even though on the outside they look nice. When he finally falls on the ground he sees two thug like looking people and thinks they are going to be bad but they end up helping him out, being good people. After that he looks at his arms and sees he is like everyone else. Even later, Austin's bones are exposed showing we all the same, we are good people but also in the inside we can be bad people. This is just my interpretation.
Yeah that's how I saw it too! It's showing everyone has their secrets (skeletons in the closet etc) and that we shouldn't just judge people on face value. Gradually through the video we see more peoples 'bones exposed' to show that everyone, yourself included, has things they hide about themselves and in the end we're all made the same. Such a creative video!
Paige Mc Absolutely loved it. Production value was great too
Still enjoy blasting this song today from time to time
this music needs to come back
God just because girls happen to like a band doesn't mean its less of a band.. that's such a shitty sexist notion that seems to live on every comment section. It's so disturbing and it needs to stop.
Why do I have to feel sorry for being a girl because my presence as a fan lowers the amount of respect men have for the bands I like?
That's not even the point. It's that the overly-obsessive, obnoxious and usually fairly stupid fangirls and fanboys over-popularize and ruin it for everyone. All they care about is suicide and telling everyone that "RAP AND POP SUCK and anyone who dislikes this band is stupid" and making up all these weird creepy tumblr accounts, pointless song quotes and crazy ideas that these bands somehow "saved their life." And somehow, _definitely_ a coincidence, every single one of them like the same bands. Bring Me the Horizon, Pierce the Veil, Of Mice & Men, and in their eyes they cannot be accepted unless those three bands are the center of their musical interest. Kinda scary.
It's also that the band became freaking generic when they got popular. There were only a few good songs on RF. So it's not necessarily a sexist thing, it's just the group (of mostly girls, but many guys) that want so badly to be hardcore/elite and fit in with certain groups of people that they almost literally drive themselves insane, as seen through social networking.
I just don't understand how it matters what people do/ feel about the music they like. And I think the correlation between these bands is due to the similar music and the way the bands engage with their fans. They're all also friends.. so fans are kind of friends too. It's actually really cool to be apart of something like that - to see people that you met at the last concert you went to.
And
Maybe those bands did save them. Hell with exams coming up and college debt stacking up for a degree in something I probably wont enjoy I've definitely thought about jumping off the nearest bridge... but hey I haven't been to warped tour yet and PTV is coming in a couple months.
Let people use these bands as an escape, it shouldn't matter to people like you whether it's healthy for them or if the bands even care about them back. Just let them believe in what makes them happy.
DanieBritsRainCloud The bands hurt their fans more than anything. The fans don't realize but these people ONLY want their money and are coating these horrible things they do to their fans with positive-sounding messages with a hidden negative meaning.
Anyway it's not like a band could physically save anyone's life, it's an impossible situation, and it's just a meaningless phrase, or an excuse because someone is afraid to kill themself or isn't actually suicidal in the first place, or a lie, or something they use for sympathy, etc. It's not actually true. They make up all these things and they start believing it.
Not to mention the fans are obnoxious. Like the whole "you hear the screaming, we hear the meaning" or "not all heroes wear capes" as if those were somehow meaningful. Like how did stuff like "You're f*cking worthless" "I should've f*cking pissed on you" "Party till you pass out drink till you're dead" "That left alone there's no scarring I'll dig and I'll dig" etc inspire kids and "save" them? And how are they so ignorant as to believe things like doctors and psychiatrists can't help them, and that firemen and police and soldiers in the military don't help and don't deserve to be hailed over these bands? It's all selfishness when it gets right down to it.
Plus they use this type of music in negative ways, depressing them further. So it really worsens their situation. Not to take anything away from people who are depressed for good reason, I sympathize with those people. But people who actually cause their own problems or just make things up for attention is becoming an extremely popular thing to do on this side of the internet.
You kinda missed my point dude.
DanieBritsRainCloud No, I saw your point. I might've missed something but I covered just about everything you pointed toward.

Oh man I loved this album.
Not only is every aspect of the vocals, bass, guitar, and drums impeccable, the production of this video is insane
His screaming reminded me of BMTH.
Not even, Sorry.
Oli's and Austin's screams are no where near similar.
Idk This song and House of Wolves sounded similar.
Aaliyah_VonVanity I'm not hearing the similarities but okay. Think what you will.
Now that I think of it, it sounds like "Antivist" Maybe it's just me though. :/
Omg same, sounds like oli a bit
Austin is definetly the #1 top 5 screamers in my opinion, say what you want but damn he is the scream GOD .
Not even close. He used to have a good sounding scream but that stopped back in 2011. Never in his life, now or then is he even one of the 50 of all time. The only good thing about it back then was it was high, now he can hardly do it anymore.
well he did sing with suicide silence on the memorial show so yeah he is a very sick vocalist
Cristian Lucaci but he got out shown by all the other vocalists but i guess youd expect that when youre up against randy blythe and phil fucking bozeman
May I ask what the other 4 are?
Better extreme vocalists: Alex Koehler, CJ McMahon, Phil Bozeman, Ian Baerer, and Dan Watson.
Bro this band is amazing on all the right levels. I loved them in concert as well.
Austin and Aaron are one of the best duos in metalcore history. It's unfortunate Austin hadta leave, but Aaron still has alot of talent himself
tino is wonderful. that's all.
the clean vocals are just so powerful its insane
It truly kills me when I remember that we will never see Austin sing live again, i was lucky enough to see em all rock together once. Such a shame
