Had no idea people were doing this. When I have way too much stuff I normally drop a load of stuff like food, stimpacks and low tier guns around 76 for new players to pick up. I don't really trade. If someone plays fair with me I'll leave them a little treat before we part ways and for the most part they see the act of kindness and do the same. It's worked out because I've seen those new starters do the same for others and the higher level players have come in clutch when I've needed help.
I don't understand why the is is even possible. Should the developers have contracts in the game? Kind if like EVE online. Where ss you can't just disconnect.
I'm not sure how eve works but as I understand it it's more of a business setting when trading. There is a problem in this though as attacking a player is marked as a crime and gets you a bounty but scamming doesn't register at all. It could probably be implemented in some way but make it that it's beneficial for another player to be rewarded if they can retrieve the item or cap value of the item and return it. It would actually become a fun aspect in the game if you could hunt down scammers for a reward as a bounty hunter.
I got Scammed yesterday, too. But I really blame it on the lousy Trade system that FO76 has. Exactly like your video, LOL. 😂 But minutes later - out of nowhere this High Level guy gave me a FIXER GUN and 8 Cores (100%) . He also bought 2000caps out of my Store. 😊 The Community in this Game is GREAT 👍🏻

Sorry but this is entirely on you. You should know better. Always check the scammer lists, use a courier when possible, and never go first if it's not. You can't be mad at them, they're playing the game as intended. Fo76 is a survival RPG. They are simply role playing as a raider. 😂
