Her singing at the end is truly sublime, divine. No wonder he was hesitating to harmonise with her and risk intruding on the pristine purity of her voice. Wow. By the way, Geraldo, I seem to remember you interviewing my band Mott the Hoople at the Uris Theater in '74!
I wish he'd released his version singing "with one more look at you" or it was included in the soundtrack. My favourite scene and the playback at the end always makes me cry.
Judy's was comparable, but Barbra's version was truly a phenomenon. I remember it opening on Christmas Day 1976 (with Rocky playing in the other theater) and it was the kind of movie you went to see over and over again. Barbra LIVE in concert was truly a very rare event (and actually still is).
Beautiful, unforgettable version of A Star is Born. I preferred it over the last one. By far.
By far

That John fella, lol, was my very first kiss! His name back then was John Bairo….not Peters!
Jon Peters
Wow that ended with sexual tension, but innocent
Geraldo Rivera shouldn't of got so damn personal. So rude. Poor guy seemed uncomfortable.
