Why do I cry to every std video..? My sister loves you guys... she’s a few years older than me but this is one of the gifts I constantly thank her for. See Chris having fun... Hope I reach daybreak
I felt the same way! Dave's name (guitar player at the time) is also literally in the song lyrics. If you're going to pretend past band members didn't exist, this isn't the song to do it.
@@earl_raymond Saves the Day was my favorite band as a teen (Stay What You Are era), and I still really like them. But I've always wondered why they seem to have so many people quit. Not that they're insanely famous or anything, but they are at least popular enough to make a living if you're in the band, and that's a really rare thing for a working musician. Most people would kill to be in that position. Is Chris just hard to work with? I have no idea.

Does anyone else feel that Through Being Cool gets all the Saves the Day press, while Stay What You are is the quintessential Saves the Day album that people don't talk about nearly as much?
I agree. While Through Being Cool was their "lightning in a bottle" that moved them forward, Stay What You Are best reflects the identity and polish that is what makes them who they are today.
I've wondered how much of that even has to do with the relationship with the record companies themselves... they are on EVR again while Vagrant has been absorbed and doesn't even look like it once did... I would like to know why we got a second rerelease for this album and haven't recieved a repress of CSD.
Stay What You Are hasn't turned 20 yet. Btw I dont think its aged as well and TBC has always been the fan favorite and their tightest and most consistent album
@@mx2892 I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I like Through Being Cool, don't get me wrong, but Stay What You Are is, in my opinion, where all the strengths of the band and Chris' songwriting combined to magically create their best record. I actually even like Can't Slow Down a little more than Through Being Cool (though like I said, I do still like Through Being Cool, not hating on it)
@@inflago bro I love Cant Slow Down and find it absurd when people just say it's a Lifetime tribute, it cooks. I like Stay What You Are just not every song on it like w TBC so it edges it out. I guess I can take back calling it aged and yeah Chris matured in his writing tremendously.
Through Being Cool is a classic.
no shit, Sherlock?
15 year old me is jamming this record on repeat and has no idea he will see this video 16 years in the future
Super classic song, pumped to see Saves The Day playing in Brooklyn @ Elsewhere in 2 weeks !!!! :)
I don't give a shit, you can't get better pop punk guitar tone anywhere other than this album.
One of my favorite bands ever! They should be more popular...like way more!
это просто шикарно!!!
A classic that will never die!
A badass song deserves a badass video. Great work to the animators.
Oh f+++ this is awesome!!! Please dave just drive!!!!!

"Shoulder to the Wheel" by Saves the Day (ANIMATED). Nice video to an underrated classic!
You don’t have to put the title of the video in your comment, we know what you’re talking about
@@JacksonTheEpic Okay.
Nice song 😎😎🤘🤘
LOVE IT.
I love this!!!! What a nice surprise lol
I love Saves the Day but it bothers me that the animated video is using the new members and not the recording members
chris doesn't really acknowledge those guys anymore.

@@inflago he's done it countless of times, actually. not calling him a dick, it's just sorta disrespectful.
The weird thing is that whole last album was about those guys amf the history of std

The radio is playing queen, and were uber’ing.

TBC/SWYA was the best lineup.
Change my mind.
*that's not Dave.

Anyone know who the new guitarist is?
Good animation

Brah they gotta make a holly hox video already
This sounds like its mixed a little differently, is it a remaster or am I just being a dumbass?
