Joshua Tree National Park in California, USA is only 2.5 hours drive from San Diego, California and one National Park that has been on my travel list for a long time!
I stayed in Joshua Tree National Park for a total of 5 days, and explored as much as possible during that time. Thankfully, I had a great Joshua Tree Airbnb in the Pioneertown Ranch just outside of Pioneertown.
Funny enough, I never slept there. Each night I would go into the park alone to film and photograph the incredible night sky of Joshua Tree National Park.
I have heard that Joshua Tree Camping is one of the best things you can do, and now I understand why. The Joshua Tree Airbnb was incredible, but next time, all I need is a sleeping bag and a flashlight, haha!

I was there a couple weeks ago for my first time. I was taken aback at the beauty of Joshua Tree. Traveling solo is such an incredible feeling.
Some of life’s greatest genuine joys are def when you take in nature’s breathtaking beauty. Such a natural high.
Very well said! Sitting there in the desert at night, all alone, was one of the most peaceful and happy moments I've had in a long time!
Pro TIP: Scout one day before where you want to shot in the night, so you know exactly where you will place the camera and where the sun comes out, that way you can get there easily.
I've done exactly what you did in this video(except of waking up at 1:45am) and honestly you made it look like 1000x cooler

A little note from a desert local: In open area desert spaces everyone should be conscious of wild animals...Coyotes, Bobcats, Snakes, Scorpions and that's quickly off the top of my head.
Also for visitors new to a desert area....please make sure you bring dtinking water on your desert adventures and if possible leave word with a loved one...so if you get lost in the desert it would help you be located.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. This guy seems to have no idea about the wildlife. Especially rattlesnakes
I’m always wildly “impressed” when someone who has never visited in daylight goes out in the middle of the night. The desert can be dangerous as those eyes watching him showed 😳

@@kcontentcreator you'll still see a lot of stars but won't be able to see the Milky way core during winter, go in April to see clearly

Do you ever get nervous venturing out in the dark in the middle of nowhere by yourself? I’m always nervous.
I was too excited to think about anything negative. I just made sure I wasn't laying down around any snakes or scorpions, but other than that - too much excitement!! 😃
One of my favorite places. Grew up in the desert - a lot of people don't know how beautiful it is.

Again my hat is off to you for presenting another video of the beautiful area of Joshua Tree 🌲 I have never been there but close to it. I would never go in the middle of the night in the dark as you did alone but I would certainly consider going with you or someone to see all this, just not alone.
The sandwich you ate looked humongous - that would be easily enough for two meals for me if not three… and eight dollars for a drink is well over priced but they know they’ve gotcha 😱

Thanks for the comment Delfin! Yes, for the most part it is safe. Just be aware of coyotes and snakes, but they are more scared of you than anything. 😃

We love Joshua Tree! My son and daughter in law live down the road so we go to visit. This is a great little house to stay at. San Diego is beautiful too!
The Inn, gas a few, very cool and funky cottages/Adobe's to stay at, and the place is quite quaint/beautiful and serene....the food is pretty darn good too, especially the Sunday Brunch!
An example of how in some points in our lives we do things that would satisfy our curiosity and at the same time trying a once in a lifetime experience that we could cherish for the rest of our lives. Btw, I'm a filipino subscriber. Take care bro!

By the way seeing that vast land with the view of the mountain at 18:46 made me appreciate the time when I visited the Uluru in the red centre of the Australian Outback. I can't wait to see more high quality videos like this from you

ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!! I miss that area SOOOO Much. I lived in 29 Palms, Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs for about 20 years!!! Brought back such great memories. You should check out the 29 Palms Inn, right down the street from the Joshua Tree National Park Headquarters...I was a chef there for a few years, and my family's home was right access the street from the Park Headquarters! Loved these videos. Thank you!!!

Had to watch. I just took my 3 boys on the weekend. They loved climbing the rocks. We didn’t stay, but interested to know from your video that there are interesting places to eat and stay. Also, we saw skull rock, but missed face rock. There is so much to do, one could easily spend a week and not see or climb everything.

A pretty amazing guy in a very amazing place! He always makes me feel like I'm riding shotgun on each of his adventures. Truly worth a watch - especially the night sky time-lapse. I have one additional recommendation for Gareth - The Integratron in Landers, CA, just north of Joshua Tree. Oh, and Burning Man. He should definitely go to Burning Man!
