I think it's because the HP comes in, says 6 words, and causes GLaDOS to immediately explode. I honeslt think that this video formed my personality lmao. My wife looks at me like I'm crazy when I watch this video.
I'm pretty sure GLaDOS would somehow be able to calculate Pi way more exact than that. Although she'd probably be too busy flooding the enrichment center with a deadly Neurotoxin.
the ironic thing is that pi to only 50 decimal places is large enough to draw a perfect circle around far greater than the entire known cosmos. Why would you need more decimal places?
I did another joke story on sentient computers: My protocol droid friend, "Bizmuth", who is a robotic elf with a happy-go-lucky British accent suddenly falls into my company's waste plant and becomes a pile of scrap metal! In haste, I contact my robotic guardian: A massive 4-legged robot spider codenamed "A.R.A.G.O.G." to fix the elf. Although a sentient robot meant to protect me, he doesn't get the parts right: The elf's arms end up as his legs + vice versa, + his head upside down!
Uh, I think it's possible to implement a Turing machine in Conway's Game of Life, but you need a gigantic board. The point is that any computation you can do on Turing machine can be done on any other Turing machine, just maybe slower. You oculd qualify it with a time like "Glados can calculate 15 billion places of pi in half a second", but given enough time and storage, even a hand calculator can calculate any finite number of pi places. It just might take the lifespan of the unvierse.

LOL - even funnier than the vid (good job by the way) are some of these comments ;-) I guess we can be thankful GLaDOS wasn't designed to run on tape (imaging the mess), or even solid-state with a quantum processor... Either way, I'm sure she was running Ubuntu, or some other flavour of Linux; not Windoze ;-P LOL
