Since I was in 2nd grade steven tyler was my idol, the stage presence and of course his unbelievable voice. He's In his seventies but it's still so sad about his voice finally given out. He couldn't even finish their farewell tour. God bless steven and Aerosmith yall got me through some rough times.
Steven and the rest of the band did a great cover of this song, I live the original as well too but I like it when the covering band or artist puts its own stuff into the song and make it their own, it is not about emulating the original astist, I think thats the best rendition you can do, aerosmith is so great in everything they did and still do.
i love the doors and i love this song and he died before i knew who he was but you do this song with the same everything and i wanted someone to think of me this way
Hah! Steven sounds like...,well, ok, different...,it does show you how Morrison could carry a baritone part like a "Cadillac on smack" - I mean this vocal when sung in the key of E (mixolydian) (like it is here) demands a deep&strong&soulful delivery - it is a small demonstration of how R&R vocals moved away from crooners and became the home for screamers....,it's not a bad thing, it's just different....,
Best way to cover a song is by adding your own style to it… Hey Joe is a perfect example, Jimi Hendrix covered it & never was the original creator of the song. However when you do it like Hendrix, you make it yours 🎸🐐♾️💯. Long live rock n’ roll, blues ❤️ 🩵 💙 & all things music 🎼 🎵 🎶 , in Jesus name… Amen ✝️🙏🏼♾️💯 iykyk ✊🏼
I'd say instrumentally it's decent. Vocally quite questionable. Straight off the bat Tyler sees to go too high in his singing and I think that ruins the atmosphere of the song. The only real singing part should come at the end in the crescendo.

Sometimes it is just better when a copycat takes some of his own stuff back out of the rendition. But when you are just a one-trick pony...
I dont know what you mean
Joe Perry wooow awesome guitar solo
Hola!
The original Doors version is iconic~
But this version is definitely amazing 👍🏻
I didn't feel that way at all when the Doors sang it, but when Aerosmith covered it, it sounded like Psycho's obsession.
Soy fan de the doors y me encanta esta versión
outstanding Areosmith rendition
❤❤❤fabulosa voz amo esta canción the Doors
i lost so much being a body guard for some many years oh ya i love this door songs i was blown away the other day when i heard this
Weird seeing one of my favourites voices covering another it's a different interpretation but it's all good
God, I miss what MTV Unplugged used to be....

Great Steven Tyler
Me gusta mucho la versión de Aerosmith
The best rendition of this song ever.
I don't think so. Vocals are average.
Fabulosa interpretación, 👏👏👏❤️
Bravo
How this unplugged wasn't officially being released on DVD/Blu-ray?
I don't really know. But it is a gem!

Excellent ❤❤❤
Comme je suis fan!
It's very interesting to listen to Aerosmith covering The Doors, I always found Steve Tyler a Morrison 's distant relative.
Just love me 🎵
Like i L❤VE Y☀U 🎶
Its📖not🔭science📡

Che cazzo di mito scusate la parola
Super ont croirait jin Julie 😂😮❤
Yes where is my drummer
Buena pero me quedo con morrison. Poeta del rock
I hear Jim voice in the background.
There was/is only one James Douglas Morrison
Without a doubt. But this version of Aerosmith is very good too!
And your sister
@@claudiogugliermino5936 😂
Where did you get this from ? What year ?
It was 1990 from their MTV unplugged set
Wow. Aerosmith is one of my favorite bands. I think their music would be ahead of its time even if it was made today. but this is not good.
Con la voz de Morrison quedaría mejor
This song is good enough to be a Doors song. I don't recall Jim Morrison ever sounding like a kitchen garbage disposal with sand in it.
Meanwhile, he has way more range than Jim morrison.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@JAug-eo8suJim é muito melhor.
You sound exactly like the dumb moron you are
Its okay but id rather steven wouldnt scream the whole time
Jim Morrison is the best Alias Christ.
Need to fix that title.

Better than the original
Luv u so much Steve. But just no. Cant do Jim Morrison, thanks 4 trying 💋
Prrffff jajjajajja
He’s doing himself. Be yourself
It's a different version.. And I absolutely like it!
Steve's harp playing Lacking to say the least. He should Put The Harp Down.
Steven tyler has way more range than Jim Morrison. Jim Morrison couldn't touch Dream On.
This is why it blows, he starts at the top of his range and can take it nowhere
Mejor que Jim Morrison💪💪
Jim é muito melhor
Someone tells this guy that screaming is not singing.
Really
loro sono bravi ...ma non sono carismatici come i doors
