I have followed Aerosmith since 1973, when the Dream On didn't even hit the airwaves till three years later in 1975. It became a huge hit. I bought their first album. Nobody heard of them until a friend introduced them to me. Momma Kin, Make It, Back In The Saddle, were all favorites of mine. Their other albums like Toys In The Attic were classics as well. I am glad that they were able to survive this long. This was truly a demonstration of Steven Tyler's vocal talent.
¡¡Cierto!! Lo que también es verdad es que por aquel entonces varios de ellos llevarían siendo músicos unos... ¿30 años? Eso también ayuda a que salgan bien las canciones.. 😁😁😁🖐
Good god, that was one of the best live radio performance EVER!!! This could have been on a album completely untampered with! Absolutely Incredible! 😱👍👍👍👏👏👏
What a treat. Love these guys. It's hard to hate Aerosmith. I mean for crying out loud even my phone can autocorrect their band name in a text. Legends for sure and great performance.
I think really the coolest thing besides the music itself, is watching real legendary people make the music right in front of you. Getting to see someone like Steven Tyler and Aerosmith make music like that is something special. It’s pretty rare actually.
@@venutoresuh590 ...Love his playing! ...saw them in 76 and unfortunately it was a down period for Joe. I still recall how alchohol and others effected his playing. Love how he persevered!
Joe’s acoustic playing was on point! The tone was great and he was just killing in terms of feel, but that’s not unusual for him. What a tremendous performance.👍🎸
I remember hearing this as a kid and liking it then, I’m a lot older now and completely forgot about it but this randomly got recommended and I love this shit. Thanks RUclips.
Man if only Howard Stern had an album of just people that has performed in his studio...It would be one awesome set!!! At least we got this..Thanks Stern for the upload..It was awesome!!!
Amazing performance. So effin tight. I don't believe there were too many other occasions where they performed this acoustic, so this must have been rehearsed specifically for this appearance. 8am in the morning, and they're ALL in the zone. I love how the backup dude smiles, snaps his fingers, and seems to revel in the double entendre along with Tyler. Great stuff.

Tyler says "the number one song on rock radio" but it was mainstream rock radio, not alternative rock radio which is what we were all listening to back then. It only reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. If I'd heard it back then, I would've been dismissive of it because it was Aerosmith, but I would've been wrong to. It's a great, fun tune and this version is really out of this world. Pardon the expression but they're tight as can be here. And that backup singer is super hot.
Steven and Joe never disappoint but I was seriously impressed by the 2nd singer and the beatboxer. All 4 absolutely smashed it
Anyone know who those guys are?
@@xa9590 the 2nd singer is Russ Irwin, a long time collaborator of Aerosmith, he was their keyboardist and backing singer from 1997 to 2012

I was skeptical when the “drums” came, but that was really good. Steven friggin nailed that vocal.
Too much swishy watery mouth and breathing noises kinda ruined it for me. Fucking great vocals for a 50 something year old too
actually his beatbox were great
They had them turned up too loud at first
Donovan Brothen same
He was loud early in the producers equalised it. I feel you on that. Even Tyler looked at him crazy
That's got to be the coolest version of this song!!
I believe you're right!

You don't get bands sounding this good live anymore. So organic.
Pink is like red, but not quite.....love that line!
Same, favorite line of the whole song. He truly is a word smith
guitarkis49 😂 Was thinking the same thing! Brilliant! They’ve given us such fun and creative song writing through the years.
Some tyler bryant fans here?
Its a great line
guitarkis49 and just like snooker when the red is blocking the pink you sink the brown ;)
This was flawless. The guitar, the beatbox, the harmonies, the lead vocals. Damn.
They went at those high notes with non fear
truly a beautiful thing
Professionals dude...
Because they have actual talent and can hit those notes without Auto-Tune
*no fear
90's was a great decade
The vocals were so great that we overlooked Joe’s guitar playing. Loved how smooth it sounds.
and absolutely perfect!!!
What a legendary moment, Howard looks more like an Aerosmith member than the actual members!!
I like how Steven looked pleasantly surprised by the beatboxer when he started.
Shout out jason paige
RUclips algorithm, u did it again 🖤
No kidding!? I love this tune! 🎶🎵🎶 Soooooo good 😎🎸😎🔥
Your comment isn't taking replies, so I gotta say that this performance is algorithmic...nice.
Oops!...It did it again!

Sometimes I think that we are some kind of social experiment with these algorithms
I simply cannot get over the fact that Steven is 49 years old in that clip

This might be the best version of this song that I have ever heard. I love the acoustic and beatboxing sound.

I totally agree. Maaaan, the vocal arrangement... That was amazing
It's better than the album cut!
Flawless mixing by the sound guy/girl.
It's on the european Maxi CD of Pink, this exact version without further editing. Engineered by Howard Stern.
Joe is a crazy rockstar when he’s got a les paul, but when he’s got an acoustic guitar, he is just an amazing professional guitarist.
What a treat. Love these guys. It's hard to hate Aerosmith. I mean for crying out loud even my phone can autocorrect their band name in a text. Legends for sure and great performance.
they went very mainstream in the 90s; I prefer 70s Aerosmith
Aerosmith yes. My Samsung also got it right. Good observation.
@@benparsons4979 70s aerosmith was bomb
kudos to the sound guy making a live mix on the spot from those mics. He got it just perfect by the end.

"Pink"
Pink it's my new obsession
Pink it's not even a question,
Pink on the lips of your lover, 'cause
Pink is the love you discover
Pink as the bing on your cherry
Pink 'cause you are so very
Pink it's the color of passion
'Cause today it just goes with the fashion
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light, and
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
You could be my flamingo
'Coz pink is the new kinda lingo
Pink like a deco umbrella
It's kink - but you don't ever tell her
Pink it was love at first sight, and
Pink when I turn out the light
Pink gets me high as a kite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
I want to be your lover
I wanna wrap you in rubber
As pink as the sheets that we lay on
Pink it's my favorite crayon, yeah
Pink it was love at first sight
Pink when I turn out the light
Pink it's like red but not quite
And I think everything is going to be all right
No matter what we do tonight
