How come nobody ever gives Public Enemy any credit for being an influence on gangsta rap? PE was one of the first ones who started rapping without smiling and not bragging about cars and how many girls they could get. They weren't gangsta rappers but were definitely successful at talking about challenges in society. PE was the first group of hard rappers who challenged authority.
Even after E kept dissing Dre, Dre still loved him and the rest of N.W.A misses him because in an interview with Ice Cube in the Straight Outta Compton movie he goes on to say he misses E and he wishes he was there to see it.
Stop telling people that Eazy E and N.W.A invented gangster rap, since Schoolly D and Kool G Rap were doing it long before N.W.A was on the hip hop scene. However, N.W.A did bring West Coast rap to the forefront, for which they deserve credit.
It's hard to know who invented it because gangster rap would've started underground where it slowly gained popularity. However, what is known is NWA popularized gangster rap and made it mainstream. For which they deserve all the credit.

@ Scru Face Jeano your 1000% correct La was the birthplace of what we call Gangster rap but back then it’s was “reality rap” with artists like ice T and Jesse Bonds Weaver Jr aka Schoolly D really being the first Artists to do it in that style and that was in the late 80s, it’s spread to California with artists NWA and Tupac then Dr Dre and snoop came at it in 1992 adding the Gfunk sound we all know and love with gangster rap making the whole genre mainstream
I need a doctor with Eminem man it really feels like EZ really let the disses get to him. Really after the chronic album by Dr. Dre never said anything else negative publicly about EZ. But EZ spent the next four years doing interviews and spending time talking about everyone on death row in released like half a dozen more diss tracks. I mean in one interview he’s seen no one on death row has any street credibility at all and then he’s talking about how Dr. Dre got shot, snoop was involved in a drive-by and got arrested….. technically those things can’t really be said by the same person. Lol I mean I love EZ and Dre and rest in peace EZ, but you could tell the interviewer could tell that if he’s trying to tell people that they’re not about that life, and then the next few things, he says, makes it seem like they are about the life was sending conflicting messages. And yeah Dr. Dre was never a Crip or a blood or anything like that really never claimed to be. But to see that Snoop Dogg and Daz and the other dudes weren’t really from Long Beach felt like EZ was just talking to talk at that point. And I’m not saying EZ wasn’t a real street dude I mean clearly he was bud. Yeah, those dudes are really from Long Beach LOL and Dre’s from Compton I don’t have any clue why EZ would say that man really wasn’t from Compton. I understand him saying that he was never a street dude but when you start saying people aren’t from the cities they’re from especially when no one said anything about you in a couple years….. I think by that point it would’ve been better if he would’ve just completely dropped it because it looked like he was really trying to hang onto that beef for his sake.

I was 13 back then. I remember how scared people were about getting it.
Now it gets bleeped.
Man things have changed over the years haha.
What Ice Cube and Dre and all of them didn't understand, was Eazy financed them and started Ruthless records, what CEO of any company gets less money than the workers basically!!!! Rip 🙏 Eric Wright
Funny story i had heard was due to the government trying to ban the Compton album, combined with the explicit lyrics label, the popularity soared and gave them the exposure that turned the rest into history. (Kurt Loder, mtv news 1988)
Lmfaooo eazy said dre did time in Reckon Crew😭😭💀
Its WRECKING CRU not RECKON CREW
Haha😂
Not gonna hold you, Eazy ate Dre tf up when he said that Dre now works for someone who worked for him. Dragged him for filth
Cube was petty for the DOC impersonation
Arabian Prince left the group first. Then Ice Cube left.
And cube pick up what prince said before he left the group he said hey where is the money hey this isn’t how this work and cube pick that up cube ain’t that smart but really good at making songs and lyrics and now ofc he know business but back then hell naw
8:36 the only time i have heard the word veto besides from government class
22.10 in, eazy e looking like my grandmother with his rollers lol
Eazy was eating GOOD with Jerry. The rest of the guys I feel like were getting pennies when they were due MILLIONS. Cube peeped it, told Dre, Cube left, wasn’t long before Dre departed too from the group. It took Eazy to hire Jewish lawyers to look into his business & seen that Jerry was financing THE GOVERNMENT! But he was pinching off of Eazy since DAY 1.. but it was too late by then. I never trusted Jerry once I heard he sent Eazy to his own doctor for a check up & for some odd reason, Eazy was on the AIDS floor when only AIDS patients were!! Why was Eazy ON THAT FLOOR?! And why was it JERRY’S doctor that made Eazy his own PRIVATE patient?! He FIRES Jerry, Eazy gets sick, Jerry made Tomica sign some paperwork & had her MARRY Eazy to get the cheese!
I never new diddy was gay till the video before watching this,
How come nobody ever gives Public Enemy any credit for being an influence on gangsta rap?
I know its not a good thing to say but i believe if Eazy popped suge when he wanted to, himself, Pac and Big would still be here today. RIP. On a lighter note whatever happened to RJ Watkins? He should have been the Next Arsenio his interview skills is some riveting stuff. 😂
Dam never looked at it from that point of view 😳
Say you wrote that sense when did you say it are you guys good you people yes all people don’t know the difference between texting writing write text messages vs say saying said talk talking so wake up texting isn’t talk text isn’t say or said wake up people be real be facts more like speak facts and speak no lies
If Pac wasn't running around masquerading as a fake blood, he would be alive..
@@grammysworld5449 if suge was dead pav wouldn't have been messing with no bloods to be a fake blood
@@briandelgado4985 Pac was a grown intelligent man.. He wanted to go that path anyway..
Ice T is the Father of gangster rap
“To dump on you” trying to sound cool not realizing he asked him why Dre was gonna shoot him
Cube was really smart. He saw that Heller and E were shorting him big time and he cut out and went on to make tens of millions all before he turned 25. He had only made $32000 while with NWA. Ridiculous!!!
From what I heard that beef wasn’t serious it wasn’t a dangerous beef and Eazy and Dre lived close to each other still while that was going on
Well stop hearing and go find out more there is a lot of things you don’t know and this guy who made that video suck he didn’t even go in on all the story he listen to cube side and Dre but what abut the others there are so many people who were in ruthless records
Yeah but easy did die under suspicious circumstances with Mike klien, Tomica and Ron sweeny
Easy E didn't start gangsta rap. It was Philly rapper Schooly D
Grandmaster flash song the message was kind of the first real street rap in 1981
Why beep out aid's? weird
Because RUclips is STUPID!!!
There were no shots at Ice Cube on The Chronic… in fact he appears in the Let Me Ride video picking at his Afro…
A bunch of misinformation in this
Facts this is a terrible video about the beef
If you listen to the song Dre Day towards the end where Dre and Snoop says we’re going to creep to South Central on a street knowledge mission, and got a chrome to his white sox hat, that was a diss to Cube street knowledge is Ice-Cubes production company and he was known to wear a White Sox hat back then.
It's also worth noting Da Lench Mob responded on their track Geurillas Ain't Gangstaz
The last verse on Dre day when they said they will creep to south central n put the chrome to the side of his white Sox hat was directed at cube .
16:12 FUN FACT-“It’s On” (23:55) was originally the lead song & diss track until they recorded “Real Muthaphukkin G’s”
E dying from AIDS (typically associated with LBGT people during this time even though it can affect anyone) is kind of ironic considering most of his criticism about Dre seems to be that he’s acting gay
They didn’t jump Easy E they can’t touch him Easy had all the Compton crips behind him they wouldn’t let that slide
March 26's gonna be the 29th. anniversary of Eazy-E's shocking death (a Sunday afternoon I won't ever forget)!
He Once Was A Thug From Around The Way...EAZY: But He...(Bitch, Shut The F"CK Up! Yo Dre? 'What'sUp?' Give Me A Funky Az Baseline!)-the intro to "Eazy Does It"(the album version)!!
They weren't the first they were the first loved coast to coast. But research Too Short 1985! Got to do as well as you put vids together!
Rip Eazy E💯
If it wasn't for Heller nwa would of stayed together. Suge would of been killed and Pac would still be here.
Pac knew his destiny. Baby was living reckless, if it wasn’t Sept 96, it would have been sooner or later. I say that as a Pac fanatic
❤🔥🔥💯 video
May you Please do Snoop Dogg’s Murder Case?
@ Scru Face Jeano your 1000% correct La was the birthplace of what we call Gangster rap but back then it’s was “reality rap” with artists like ice T and Jesse Bonds Weaver Jr aka Schoolly D really being the first Artists to do it in that style and that was in the late 80s, it’s spread to California with artists NWA and Tupac then Dr Dre and snoop came at it in 1992 adding the Gfunk sound we all know and love with gangster rap making the whole genre mainstream
Schoolly d and ice t before eazy, they dont get enough credit imo
Schoolly D, Just Ice & Ice T? A good 4-5 years before EE.
you even bleep out "AIDS" - come on
Exactly. I'm like "Really?"
this
That's what I came here to say! Don't soil this great man's legacy by censoring his death. WTF?
Ppl needs to know that it’s like a car fax 😂😂
Real mother fucking G,s is an awesome tune dis track as good as no
Vaseline .
Do Bounty Killer Vs Beenie Man next please
8 patreons….ha ha yep you are crushing it
