    Just spoke to Tesla GB and the incentive would be aded to your account after delivery and can be used for supercharging or Tesla products and will not be taken off the lease price. Also they said that as long as orders are in by the 13th they can be delivered by end of September. I also noticed that if you add another colour and not the free white it is also at a reduced price as is the white interior. This is a stonkingly good deal!

      Seriously interested in this, but the wording says: Referral Applied - £1,000 off of your vehicle price will be applied after ordering - that is not the same as applying a £1,000 credit to your account, I would expect £1,000 of the price, as it says, so cashback or similar, this kills it for me. Might as well go company car and pay no deposit £457 a month full maintained and insured, including tyres.

      Agreed, @DefninitelyNotAGuru the £1,000 is taken off the full list price effectively reducing the monthly payments to £289, and as you’re not buying the car outright i.e. 3 year lease you are only benefiting 3 years of the £1,000 or £360 in effect. Bit naughty that I feel. Interested if anyone else has had a different experience.

    £1000 Tesla Incentive. So, it appears that if you buy on lease you get about £10 off per month (£360 over a 36 month lease) and it’s also adds a £500 Tesla credit pending in your Tesla app. I have checked this with a couple of other people and this seems to be how they are applying the £1000 incentive for lease purchases. I guess it will be confirmed when you take ownership of the car.

      @@DefinitelyNotAGuruheads up - we've started to see most contain a line with words to the effect of "if the road tax changes significantly, we will pass the difference on to the customer" - so I think lease companies are starting to cover themselves against it suddenly becoming 180 quid Vs £0 or so next year, without having to raise the monthlies and appear less competitive at point of purchase. I believe margins are quite tight on some these lead lease deals, so the equivalent of £15 quid a month on road tax may well make a difference to the funders.

      @stephenmurphy5882 Thanks for the update mate. What is strange I was assigned a VIN in the app and just this morning it was removed apart from Reg. Was the car faulty or given to somebody else I have no clue. And yes the in app chat is almost useless. Getting no information whatsoever.
      May I ask why you need to change spec?

    • @stephenmurphy5882
      @stephenmurphy5882 9 дней назад +1

      @KJ-iu7jx not entirely sure, the app previously mentioned est delivery of 20th to 30th Sept. Then that changed to just est delivery Sept, then the text today seems to have contradicted that. I'm currently trying to get clarification on the app chat/message facility to see if they specifically know what is going on. I did order the Midnight Cherry Red paint and Black Gemini Wheels so maybe because I didn't order the bog standard white car might be the issue I'm guessing. Or the fact my pick-up would be in Belfast. They might not have the inventory here and might not be worth their while financially to ship my specification over from say England where they would most likely have a much bigger inventory to choose from. That's my best guess for now anyway. Hopefully know more soon.

    OK so I made a fresh order with a new £1000 referral link. Marc's one had been used up also by the time I ordered so I had to use a new one. It does indeed only discount the monthly figure by about £10 give or take a few pennies depending on the configuration. Reason being the £1000 discount referral link relates to the total value of the car. So roughly 45k plus, however over the 3 years of the lease payments you will be charged roughly 16k so the discount of £1000 is then calculated on a pro rata basis. Relating to the 16k element so basically you get between £350 and £400 off depending on configuration. This is very badly processed as you don't see what the discount link will do until you have confirmed your order. If somebody on here got confirmation that the £1000 would be credited as Tesla/Super charging credit. I think the Tesla advisor giving them the info gave them the wrong information.

      Looks like it’s limited to 10 per year - 10 people must have used it already - wow! Reading up on it a bit it looks like it’s pure Tesla credit and you have 12 months to spend it.

    Pch, rather that pcp, it’s fine if you don’t want an asset/equity at the end. Not for me.

      You’d never have an assert anyway here and would be in negative equity on a PCP. Lease these cars, don’t buy them or attempt to do so unless you intend to keep a decade. Waste of money and time cost / investment opportunity.

      @@wakeywarrior cars aren’t an investment, however Pch is dead money, like renting. PCP you likely will get equity and use towards next car. Each pcp I have had I’ve won and had equity to use again next ur have. Speaking from experience is all.

      @@speedokds a PCP cost me about 10 grand extra over a lease on my last Tesla. I terminated it and handed it back eventually. In the current market, particularly with EVs where the tech is rapidly improving each year, the chance of having equity is next to nil.

    Chasing those registration numbers. It’s a pity he’s made himself so overtly political. It’s putting a lot of people off what is a good car .
