Or that he got dominant cars in 2007 and 2008 thus his championship runs were all flukes where he underperformed dominant cars with Alonso and Hamilton punching above their weight?
Senna was also struck by debris... unfortunately he died...
This accident was super improbable, but it happened.
Just couple of cm lower… That was one of the scariest accidents ever happened. And I was watching it live like the one with Senna.
It was pretty the same accident in which centimeters decided about the outcome… Not the speed, or angle of hit. Just pure (bad) luck. With Senna unfortunately it was couple cm too low…
Massa was unlucky and lucky at the same time
Thank god they use helmets
Look at his left eye man is he ok?
Yes
Yep, and currently the president of the FIA World Karting Championship or whatever it's called
Remote e stop wouldn't go amiss to be honest
But who lost the spring???
Rubens barichello in a brawn F1 car ahead of him
With the halo on (or if it existed back then), I think the spring would have flown through the halo and would still hit Massa's head in a similar position.
Maybe, maybe not.
Jonathan Yu no no the double decker bus would be on top the spring went tru the left corner which the halo doesn’t protect
The halo is designed for larger debris like tires which is why IndyCar went with the aeroscreen to stop (hopefully) big and small debris
worst case, the spring could have hit the bottom of the halo and bounced right into his chest, instant kill
or flown through at the same angle, not touched the halo; hit his helmet bounced off the halo to ricochet it back into him and kill him. things like this are just too freak to say "what if"
I’ll never understand why there isn’t a remote killswitch for the car
Clearly you aren’t thinking hard enough as of why it doesn’t exist
@@zoskiethewizquit.7338 then enlighten me, instead of being all mystical n shit
@@santiagovera7198 Fam of you can’t think of the perfect reason they DON’T exist then you’re dumb as hell
@@zoskiethewizquit.7338 so you don’t know either huh?
@@santiagovera7198 I already know
Halo could've saved that
now that's very hard to judge
Might have. We'll never know.
The one in indycar could've saved him
Also him driving 2 cm to the right could'va saved that. If anything, this is a point for a full windscreen protection.
@@parttimecripple or even to his torso
Hectic.
Massa is suing the errant part that hit him on the head
