How to REPLACE a clutch in a car - (Step by Step guide)

- Опубликовано: 1 ноя 2016
- This video shows how to replace a clutch in a front wheel drive car. however the procedure for this job will be almost similar in a rear wheel drive car except there's only one drive shaft and no need to take wheels or brakes off the car.
Learn how to change a clutch in a front wheel drive car. Slipping clutch is a common symptom of a worn out clutch which need to be replaced soon. I'll have a separate video in the future on replacing a clutch in a rear wheel drive car. This is also an ideal time if someone need to flush the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder.

I just watch few minutes and found u hit cv shaft with hammer. Well done Mr Mechanic.
i really liked the part where you didnt show installing the clutch
yeah i know, the footage was too noisy and i didn't edit that in
@@JunkyDIYguy where have you gone mate ???? No more uploads from you ,hope you are ok ???
Im glad you showed taking off the transmission and cleaning it out, a lot of other videos I’ve watched lead you to believe you can change it out with the 3” of space between the housing and engine without pulling it out. And to be fair if you can see how it is taken out you can surely put it back in considering that’s why they send you the alignment tool. To me you showed the realism aspect of having to figure it all out while your doing the job which is how I work all the time bc I run into bolts that will not turn or some other obstacles that aren’t shown on here, I hope you keep making videos my friend! If your looking for torque specs and a step by step honestly the best you can do is buying a book for your car or looking it up on google and just jumping into the job if you have the tools to do it that is.
Best how not to do a job I've seen.....😅😅😅😅
Hi , you did not show how to install clutch disc and the gear box... thanks for the video
Why are you going through all that extra work it's nonsense... You don't need to take your entire front suspension out or brakes...
Just move the steering knuckle out of the way...
Thank you for a demonstration. Clutch job on front wheel drive is challenging, just needs more time. How many cups of tea/coffee did you go through this job?LOL
Missed the important bits of the install - the use of an alignment tool to line up the plate and whether this is done in one or two passes, and what lube to use where (if any) on the spline under the thrust bearing and or the clutch plate spline.
DinoProf you know any better ones mine just burned out
how to put a clutch in after you change your cvs and then you skipped the whole install and lining great job

Job done... You must be pretty patient!
Wow, maybe I can disassemble but putting it back is a big big huge problem. I'd rather hire you.
Fantastic video
Did a bosch hex impact just remove a drive shaft nut?
Reluctant Couch no not really, it was already broken loose with a breaker bar
Where do you buy the clear hose from please buddy.
Nice
Nice job Junky
0:48 He hammers the bolt tighter.. lol
I don't remember seeing a starter motor come out? You can do better buddy. You just need to work on the details.
What accent is that dude? Almost sounds Australian with a bit of Helium balloon sucking going on! Anyway thanks for the video always worth a watch, and can learn an occasional way/trick
MDC sounds Indian to me
This should be renamed, How to remove drive shafts!
If it was, it would be a terrible tutorial. 2:34 you should never hit the driveshaft with a hammer unless you want to ruin it. Always put the nut on it before you hit it.
Good thing there was stupid sounding music playing loud I didn't think I would be able to learn how to do it without the annoying music
Can you help me install my friends clutch in a Mazda 323 Protege sedan I'll buy you a feed lol.
Waw mech
The background music is making me sleepy 😴😴😴😴
The axle isn't supposed to be that hard to remove from the hub. It should literally slide out.
this guy didnt even resurface the flywheel ??
If there are no marks, scratches or blue shades from overheating, there is no reason to resurface the flywheel.
I was always taught have it resurfaced no matter what, hell all that work and not have it done is dumb.
@@Metatr0n Would you resurface the flywheel if it has 15k km on it and has a tiny bit of rust spots?
@@KDD8 Depends on the history of the car. 15k of city-traffic and shopping, done by a proper driver? No way would I resurface the flywheel.
15k on the Nürburgring and blue shades on top of the tiny rust spots? Probably yes.
@@Metatr0n @Metatr0nThanks my man. It was 15k of city-traffic. What happened was this kid changed his clutch and flywheel and after he was done his rear main seal went. The organic clutch got soaked in oil and rendered useless, but his flywheel is brand new so I ended up grabbing that. No blue shades, it looks like little surface rust spots.
I'd gladly pay $800 after seeing what it takes.
I am kind of scared to do this by myself..
Not a step by step guide
how to consider take your car to a professional :(
I couldn't hear what you were saying most of the time, mumbling
You are kidding right????
