Aaaannnd, this is why I haven’t had social media since 2014. No family drama, no stalkers, no bad news, no gossip, no workplace drama, no clingy Cluster B patients trying to be my new best friend (I’m an ER nurse), less depression & anxiety, no petty arguments, none of that. People know only what I choose to disclose, and it’s not a whole hell of a lot.
Let’s go back to creating some mystery about ourselves-it makes people much more interesting than when they hop online to let everyone know they just took a piss.

The amount of people in the comments blaming the victims for being stalked is insane. It's SO EASY for y'all to say these things when you've clearly never experienced being stalked online or in person in your lives. BLAME THE ACTUAL PERPETRATOR WHO ENDED UP IN PRISON FOR HIS OWN REPEATED TERRIBLE ACTIONS, NOT THE VICTIMS.

They still need to take some accountability. They were adults. if you choose to post your life online then you open doors to all the weirdos and sick people in this world not saying they deserved it but actions have consequences you can't just live in a bubble and do what you want in this world unfortunately

I feel bad for them but at the same time, people shouldn’t be so reliant for attention from social media. I especially lost it when one of them said she wanted to get away from it all and wanted to go on a trip, and in the end received a message on her instagram.
I was like, “Girl, if you are being stalked through social media, you use your common sense and don’t go around using your instagram! Instead, you lay low from all sort of social media. Change your number, block unknown numbers, do anything you can to stop it! Stop seeking that attention if you really want to “get away from it all” like you said!”
Sorry, just, god, stop looking for affirmation and just look out for your own safety first.

Omg what happens here in the comment-section… (“They deserve it…” ; “Why not just block” ; “I hate insta-girls too”)
-> First of all it’s not the girls fault that the younger generation sees SM as part of their lives… Just delete the account means no connection to friends/ not beeing uptodate. Times changed & u no longer are friends with the nice neighbours-kids. They/ We need SM for a lot of things…
-> Some of the cases are pretty old, don’t know when fb started the “block”-option but anyways you could not always do it PLUS he had their numbers as well, knew where they live… so just “block” would not have been enough.
-> The hate here is why people “escape” to their own bubble in SM… (until something goes wrong!) JUST BE NICE and EMPATHIC these are young girls trying to fit in into a crazy world!

These are the consequences you face when you say “you have nothing to hide” or become careless in regards to your privacy being infringed. All the things mentioned in this video can be avoided if people be careful about where they leave their personal data, having multi-factor authentication for every social media, 3 layers of protection against physical access of your personal computer, don’t install or download unauthorised software in your devices, always update your software in your devices. How hard is that? Can intruder still get in after all those precautions? Yes, but it will be extremely hard for them that they will give up eventually because they gonna need great effort to get your personal data.

The show should have been called "What happens when you pretend to be a phoney baloney and use Social Media". Also to all the women out there who cant think for themselves, try to start thinking for yourself and stop idolizing these gross phoney people, who call themselves influencers. Those type of people are damaging to society. All they've done is manipulate your ability to think for yourself. Just like the face paint industry has done. The majority of women now actually believe they need face paint in order to look good. They should be called manipulators not influencers. The whole thing just makes me angry. That most people cant think for themselves anymore.

In general, People with Aspergers wants the abuse to stop or hurtful ness of the other person to stop. If they think someone did something morally wrong- the frustration tolerance can be short, because they don't know how to handle that, reaction out of frustration or confusion .
