    I just want to say Dr. Hanson is the man. 100 on the midterm for the statics portion thanks to him. Got the final in mechanics of materials/statics in two weeks. This playlist has been extremely helpful. Thanks Dr. Hanson!

      I just took 8ksi as 8mpa just to learn the content, I'll worry about metric vs standard when i need to

    24:04 center is at 6.5. everything makes sense now 🤘 . I get how we find the rotation angles and what my Prof called the 'beta' angle.

    Wasted a lot of time listening to another prof trying to teach this. Now 11 years later, I am pretty sure I can do it every time.

    I need help why is the rotation angle 30 ? 60? etc rotation is my problem.

    • @sahibhara7611
      @sahibhara7611 Месяц назад

      i believe in mohrs circle angles are different. If the angle change is given in the problem, it will be double in Mohr's Circle because theta = 2theta in mohrs circle. so you just multiply the "outside world" angle by 2 to get it into the "Mohr's Circle World"

    Can someone explain fr the last example how the x' is subtract with 5.31 ? I don't understand the x' but for the y' is got .

    • @DRPSET
      @DRPSET Год назад

      The distance of x’ (for the x face) from the origin of the planes is 7.5 minus the base of that triangle we found and that’s why we’re subtracting

      He's trying to find the center, so the amount of units from -3 to +2 is 5 units away.
