I've been playing VTM for the better part of 20 years, and most of my knowledge of the lore has been pieced together from thumbing through the dozens of books my friends and I collected over the years. I absolutely LOVE these iceberg videos! You have a real talent for condensing vast amounts of information and explaining it in a clear and concise way. I struck gold upon finding your channel, ngl. I'm one of the types that got embraced by Bloodlines in the 00s, and spent a good amount of time on the wikis, piecing the lore together. This type of content is right up my alley, with great production value as well. Though there really isn't much WoD media for my kind, which I can summarize it by saying "I hate v5" lol
On the topic of Caine and Lilith, I always interpreted them & their stories as in-world mythologies, rather than "canon". It's fun to learn more about the subject though, for sure.

This is the best vid on this part of the lore I've ever found. It answered basically all of the questions I had about what Caine and Lilith were doing
Not a lore expert, but based off what I've heard thus far, Lilith and the Crone could easily be the same person. Both knew more about vampirism then even Caine and it would fit in well with the story about cycles of abuse and treachery.
My current head cannon is Caine goes to Lilith for wisdom so he can properly rule Enoch, Liliths terms to give this knowledge are extreme thus the sacrifices of second generation vampires (could be shades of grey there), and once Caine learns all she has to teach he pillages her garden as she was then the greatest threat to him.
These have been really lovely as a new player to have, I would love to see more.

I'm an RPG enjoyerand for the most part whenever someone wants me to play TTRPGs with them they do a poor job explaining. From what I gathered most WH40K players are similar to a cult with them requiring from new players to have read over 50 books. D&D players have a snobby holier than thou attitude towards you if you mention you play video game RPGs or other Tt games. This video intrigued me because it explains a core thing within the game verry well.

in my world of darkness lore. The Book of Nod and Revelations of the Dark Mother are not wholly true, but small grains of truth. in my WOD mythos, Caine's origins are revealed, where Caine is not even his real name, but a title given to him in the first city. The same thing goes to Lilith, a title given to her, but not her real name. As for Caine, he was not the first murderer nor the fourth human to exist but was a caveman and a descendant of the first Mages that hailed from Atlantis, and the first city was not the first in existence, but the first to be built outside of Atlantis's territory. Like Tremere, Caine feared death and sought immortality, so knowing of the entities his father and grandfather spoke of during the times of Atlantis. Caine sacrificed his brother to the Wyrm. The Wyrm accepted his brother's sacrifice and bestowed the curse of undeath and Vampirism upon Caine, unbeknownst to Caine he and all of his progeny will forever be its puppets for all time, until the end of days when the corruption and death spread by the Wyrm's influence by hands of Mortal, Vampires, Demons, and other Supernaturals help unleash the Wyrm from its hellish prison. Revealing the truth that all Vampires, including Caine and Lilith, and all supernaturals are all playthings to Lovecraftian beings that even Demons and Angels fear. As for Angels and Demons, they were once a clan of Mages who lived in the time of Atlantis, these Mages became so intuned with the cosmos searching beyond space and time that they encountered the God Machine, an alien entity that offered them more power in exchange they give up their free will. Half of the clan accepted and became angelic biomechanical constructs to this Demiurge, while the other half refused to give up their free will. A war broke out, and the Mages that lost had their souls banished to the abyss as punishment where they encountered the Wyrm who would twist their souls and drive them mad until those mages became the Demons we know in the World of Darkness, and like the Vampires, they too will forever serve the Wyrm whether they want to or not.

Is this 5th edition lore? I have no recollection of clan hecate or the haquim. Also i find weird that nosferatu and toreador were not cursed but salubri(healer) was??
Hecata and Banu Haqim is cringe v5 lore, yes. Ignore that all the various necromancer bloodlines hate each other and have been trying to genocide each other for 500+ years, lets just group them all up in a neutered Necromancy discipline. Oh and throw the Narahaja in despite the fact they aren't even closely associated with any of them who care! They have nothing to offer and a bunch if danger? Who cares?
