My ac belt was snapped, thank you for this video.
If your AC suddenly fails rather than a gradual decline, this video is on the money.

    2004 Suburban 1500 LT
WHERE IS THE A/C low side service port ?

2000 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT, AC was blowing cold, My blower motor ramped all the way up to high and the air started blowing warm out of the defrost vents. I smelled an electrical smell in the truck cab. Now the blower motor is always on high when the truck is on, The blower motor will stop blowing when I turn the truck off. The AC control panel will not do anything. All AC fuses are good, 2 inside the cab by the driver door and one in the electrical center under the hood. I pulled the blower motor resistor and I don't see anything burned or any bulging caps on it. My truck does not have the fan control that says OFF, 1,2,3, 4, 5. Mine has hash marks and about 20 positions on the fan speed dial. Any suggestions?

So is yours all manual controls and not digital? If it’s manual then try adjusting it by hand behind the climate control. If it’s digital, pull the battery cables and let everything reset.

Prices have gone up on parts as with everything else it seems. You can still buy the parts and fix this issue for less than 50 bucks.

    Summary
Check Belt and Tensioner - In order to replace A/C belt you will first need to remove main serpentine belt - The End
Oh and Reset your A/C system whatever that means...
I am assuming he means suck down and refrigerant in system, put system in a vacuum, and fill to proper levels per your tag under the hood.

Figured it out. Disconnected the battery and pulled the AC fuse for 10 minutes. Reconnected battery and put back fuse. All working again.

@@DjStalin100 I did that. It worked for like 5 mins. Then died again. I replaced the actuator, all the fuses and related relays and this thing is just temperamental.

@@pablitocodes use arctic freeze ac charge from Harbor freight. It has anti leak properties in case of small leak. the computer won’t recognize leak and the actuator will work right. Don’t reset system for several days and eventually it’ll work. My wife’s 2003 took three days to begin working right after adding the arctic freeze charge.
