In the stage right after Mom Kong tutorial, you find the trees that can be uprooted and used as a club. But you need to hold it, and you lose other functionality (like sprinting or throwing) he walks very funny but slowly while holding the club.

The player also didn't get in melee range, so I'm guessing the devs got lazy and thought the rock tossing would be enough to keep players from finding out that they didn't give him anything else.
This version of Kong is perfect for Godzilla from Gigabash and the PS4 Godzilla game and I can picture Gaw being one of the other Kong monsters if Gigabash has a King Kong DLC pack

When I played this game it put up more of a fight for me.
That last fight made me think of Optimus Primal and Megatron fighting from Beast Wars. And the effects look pretty much the same.
