The guy they got to play Duke Fleed could stand to put a little gusto into these Super Robot attack names.
Agreed. He's constantly speaking in a monotone. Do you know if there's the option to switch the language to japanese? THEIR seiyuu (i.e. dubbers) do their work with extreme passion. Well, usually.

Mind you, it lacks on other things - to wit, there are exactly FIVE characters that kept their own names - and only one of them is a hero (to wit, they are Maria Grace Fleed, King Vega, Gandal, Zuril and princess Rubina). Seriously, not even poor Boss was spared the renaming!
@@alarkhar yeah that's really silly. I haven't seen the Italian version of the series, having only a cursory understanding of the language, and wonder how renaming Kouji Kabuto into Alcor or something like that even works in terms of story
@@Dizerfullpower You think THAT is weird? I spent my childhood thinking that the Kabuto were triplets... in the italian version of Grendizer he was called Alcor, in Mazinger Z he was renamed Ryo and only in Great Mazinger he was finally called with his true name, Koji. Funnily enough, in Mazinger Z he was the ONLY ONE renamed - the rest of the cast kept their actual names.
This was my favorite show when I was a kid. I can't believe it finally has a game.
They should expand on this game
Make it open world you can travel on foot or with spazer saucer when ever you like

Getter robo wasn't made by Go Nagai, it was made by his former and late assistant Ken Ishikawa

If i'm not mistaken, Grendizer is in the same universe as Mazinger Z. Was able to find the first episode online and I saw Koji Kabuto who pilots Mazinger Z in it
yup it takes place sometime after mazinger-Z and Great Mazinger.
Probably one of the largest plot holes in Grendizer is that Z and Great are nowhere to be seen. It's not like they would be hopelessly outclassed by the Saucer Beasts, as they're pretty much on par with the Mycenae save for sheer numbers. Sure, Koji and Tetsuya are older, but if the former is still actively fighting, why can't the later?
@@BlitzkriegOmega from what the lore stated by the anime, both Mazinger and Great were decommissioned and put in storage. My guess is that we'll see a Great Mazinger vs Grendizer arc soon (spoiler alert: It sadly will involve the Vegas kidnapping Koji and using his knowledge of where the Mazingers)

@@TheChoujinVirus not decommissioned but put on storage. since there were no more threats before grendizer arrived on earth, also in Devilman vs Great Mazinger. Duke and koji did something to Great Mazinger, after it lost to devilman and the last thing was shown was great mazinger glowing.

has a combo attack with Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger to. I think that combo attack was in the PSP game

Are you playing on pc? the pc version have lot of glitches some times the voice over will stop and when it stop we get stuck in the mission after we defeat the boss we cannot continue and we must exit the game
This game covers the first 7 out of 74 episodes.
In the Talian version of the cartoon grendizer Is called goldrake
...because we made the awful mistake of buying the french translation. Everything and everyone in that version was renamed - and badly.

A good DLC would be one allowing to use the Double Spacer (don't misunderstand me, the TFO is a beast for its size, but the DS is literally built to be the best partner for Grendizer)... the BEST DLC would be giving the player the chance to use any robot that has teamed up with Grendizer in the past (namely the Mazinger Family and both Getters... and, if we count the manga, Koutetsu Jeeg)

@@dr.crazystein9536 They're kind of tiny, I'm afraid - this wouldn't be a problem in Super Robot Wars (I mean, one of the units in SRW 30 was the Ultraman from the Netfilx show, basically a power armor) but in an action game...

The dub was done by a France based studio.
I might as well get my history teacher to sing me a lullaby, record that voice and mod in that as Grendizer's attacks, cause that would honestly sound more hotblooded than this VA.

@@marcosdheleno koji was in around his mid 20's to early 30's so not that old when grendizer arrived, and then there's the whole studio being french. and chances are Z-infinity takes place after grendizer.
