    Quick FAQ- 1. I'm not going E85. This is due to lack of availability of pumps for a daily.
    2.Uses stock fuel pump
    3. Not going for more power, the car is plenty fast enough as a balanced street car for fun and reliability.
    Thanks!

      +ThatDudeinBlue If you go to a strip, swap in a 15 psi pulley and make 700+ whp :D :D jk don't listen to me your car would probably say no and go ka-boom

      +ThatDudeinBlue Also, you just supercharged an American car. And posted it on a popular car channel. I hope you realize the implications of these actions. (HINT: You gotta do a burnout man!)

    • @DjStanceZ
      @DjStanceZ 8 лет назад +2

      well if you wanted to spend the money you could have both and have it dailyable.
      i.e Haltech elite system with flex fuel system means you can run both pump and e85
      and it will also automatically ajust boost depending on the ratio of e85 to pump fuel.
      and a walbro 455 would be good and it's a direct drop in pump that replaces the factory.

      +ThatDudeinBlue Does it come with a boost gauge? If I were you I would get a retune with the larger tb, exhaust, and whatever other mods you have. Plus we'll get to see some dyno numbers and I'll almost guarantee they will get some more power out of it.

    The sound. Something about GT's have always had a unique sound to me. Ever since the late 90's models. The best way I describe it to people is "GT engines sound like they are gargling the gasoline." And I mean that in a beautiful light. It's so beautiful I don't even need to see the car to know its a GT going by. Now it sounds even better with this pro-charger. Happy for you my friend.

    Good choice going Procharger. I have had my P1sc on for a while now. Not one problem. The Procharger tune that came with mine was pretty weak. The timing with the PC tune maxed out a only 7 degrees!! The dyno tune picked up 100whp.

  • @AJ-se4qz

    You should do some outside sound launches and flybys, those are what others hear :D

  • @DUBSmb
    @DUBSmb 8 лет назад +78

    Cool, the whoosh sound isn't too loud so it still sorta sneaky sneaky. But it sounds good and 100whp more is pretty sweet. How much boost can you run on the 5.0? Did you ask the people at Procharger?

      @ThatDudeinBlue  8 лет назад +24

      +DUBS It varies, but usually the bottom end is good for around 700 whp, the block right around 1000 before it splits.lol However, a few people like Revolution Auto have gone past 800 whp. Newer versions of the Coyotes in the 15' can handle even more.

    get a bov and put a smaller pulley on it. you will make full boost around 3k rpm and it is nuts for power.

    • @kingcrimson234
      @kingcrimson234 8 лет назад +2

      +Jonathon Vince you'll never make full boost at 3k rpm, but yeah it will come on earlier. i agree, he needs a smaller pulley!

    • @jonathonvince3605
      @jonathonvince3605 8 лет назад

      +kingcrimson234 2.85 pulley and it will be close. que the need for a bov because it would make an excessive amount up top. I make around 8lbs at 3.5k and 12lbs (my current setting) at 4.5k. I am at the max rpm though for the psc1 when near redline.

    • @jonathonvince3605
      @jonathonvince3605 8 лет назад

      +kingcrimson234 the stock pulley for mine was a 4.10 just an fyi. also I don't have a 5.0. I have the 3.7.

    • @jonathonvince3605
      @jonathonvince3605 8 лет назад

      +Stunt Growtopia yeah too much for a stock block but if you swap the procharger pro flow valve for a big red bov from procharger you can use it to limit the top end boost

    been driving my vortech blown 5.0 for about 20,000 miles now. they are 100% daily driver friendly. even for making huge power they can do it every day, and im not E85 either but actually 91 pump crap and a 40/60 meth&water injection. 7psi and 12* is currently making 640whp. love it every day. have fun patterson, you get used to the woosh eventually!

    I got a good laugh out of the spark plug issue. The very first car I decided to boost was a Sunfire w/ 2.2 Ecotec. I know its no Mustang but I was getting into boost and I wanted to learn on something inexpensive should I mess up a couple times. Anyway, after the turbo was installed power kept falling on its face around 4500rpm. Assuming the factory fuel system was to blame we installed bigger fuel pump and injectors with no luck. After that, the car set for almost 3 months waiting for my tuner to get back in town at which point he immediately pointed to spark plugs, changed them, and then made several cleen pulls on the dyno to 7,000rpm with no problem. Spark Plugs, last thing we even would have considered back then lol.

    • @KnightDriveTV
      @KnightDriveTV 8 лет назад +3

      +trevtill A disc "upgrade" like drilled rotors....i.e. rotors with reduced surface area and stress risers...not an upgrade. Take a look at any racecar, note you'll never see a drilled rotor. J hook slotted for AP at best. Drilled rotors will crack every time if you track them hard, not to mention, the more pad you put on rotor, the more stopping power. That's your lesson for the day.

      Root system is better then a procharger. Root system will give you better bottom end/midrange for a more linear torque curve and a consistent amount of boost. Prochargers don't make peak boost until you're almost at the redline. For a daily driver a root system would be better for around town driving if you're looking for better daily drivability.

      +SI RICKO do you really think thats the only reason you need an afr gauge? lol

    • @SIRICKO
      @SIRICKO 8 лет назад

      carerragted it is...... it's not like your damn tune is gonna change over night facepalm. If not please what the fuck more u need a arf gauge for beside tuning.

    • @carerragted
      @carerragted 8 лет назад +14

      SI RICKO because when you're in the middle of a pull and something goes wrong, afr's will change sometimes so much motors blow up. watching them can prevent that, because when afr's get into the danger zone you can stop the pull and drive normally back home to figure out what went wrong. i have a single turbo supra, and my afr gauge has saved me a couple of times. i had an injector malfunction and instantly my afr leaned out to the point if i kept pushing it, it would have blown. if i didnt have that gauge it would have blown my motor.

    Damn Smurrf moves OUT now. Good thing you went with the wider tires in the rear because you would've been slip-sliding all over the place on your old wheel setup. Congrats on having two boosted cars now. The will be cool to see the contrast in how the 240 delivers power and drives vs. the procharger on the 5.0

    Procharger's are awesome. I inherited a 2006 GTO from my Grandfather that he had procharged. I don't know how much boost it has but we found the dyno sheet on it for a some of 751rwhp. It is a handful to drive when you get on it. But you are correct it drives normal when you don't. Thanks for the videos..

    I knew that you were going to love that car after the install. Once you experience the boost life, NA just isn't anywhere near as fun, not even with a 10,000 RPM balanced engine. I, for one, am really happy that you chose to go down this route with Smurf. You didn't go the normal route and buy a turbo kit for it because that's just ridiculous for a daily driven Coyote, you did your homework and asked alot of questions before you pulled the trigger, and now you have something that you can really be proud of. I saw you say somewhere that the car is plenty fast enough, I have a feeling that you're going to change your mind on that statement after driving it for a while. My Civic (although this comparison is apples and oranges compared to your car) was a JDM 1.5L SOHC VTEC and with the 63 trim T04e on 6 lbs and it pulled on quite a few modified V8s and I said that it was plenty fast for me, then I wanted low end torque with high end power and swapped to a 1.8L DOHC with the same turbo on 8 lbs and it totally transformed the car. After driving it almost everyday, I want more boost. I want to turn the wick up until I'm making close to 350 whp, right now I'm making 288 whp. That might not sound like much until you realize that the car weighs 1000 lbs less than your Mustang (2500 with me in it). It can be downright scary sometimes. Like I said, you did the right thing before taking such a huge step and I love the car. I loved it before. You just made it that much better. I really can't wait for the debut of the 2JZ powered 240 though, that's going to be sick! God bless buddy.

    Great job dude! Happy to see you did the work yourself, respect! 7.5PSI is plenty.. there's really no need to go crazy. Guys that say it's not enough are just jacked up on their egos.

    just got done doing a procharger on a c5 a week ago. It made 750whp with e85 and basic bolt ons about 9.5 psi. If you plan on making it a local driven car, e85 will give you a very good gain with charger applications.

    Just self installed the same kit on my 15 gt performance pack. My mpg has stayed the same. Lol I am destroying the amazing handling of the 15, adding drag radials this spring. No street tire will come close to holding the power in 1st-3rd gear. I have done a lot of suspension work and it helped with the wheel hop to an extent. I'm in Warrenton va if you want to check it out sometime. Lots of mods ready to be installed when warmer weather is here.

    Definitely enjoy superchargers. Have one on my 2004 Toyota 4Runner. It's even better when TRD discontinued the 4.7 supercharger because it's just that much more special to drive a boosted 4Runner and still have the reliability of a Toyota. Going strong on 160,000 miles and its driven daily!

    I to put a P1SC Stage2 on my 14 coyote. I also had the intake hose pop off. Funny thing is, it took me a few minutes to figure out what was happening. Good thing I checked the oil right after because all that fuel went into my oil pan. I love the ProCharger. Everyone asks why it sounds like an F-16

    Glad you're so stoked on the blower! One quick comment is that you said you went sager and gapped your plugs on the higher side. Gapping them smaller would technically be safer as you would decrease the risk of spark blowout. Gapping them on the higher side will net more power though. Not to mention .035 is likely perfectly safe anyway.

    I think it's pretty sweet. One thing about Prochargers (along with turbos and superchargers) is if you really want to you can take the engine back to stock. Just put the old parts back on and do some tune work and your back to stock again. I don't know why you would want to because it looks stealth, pulls mean and ads some pretty awesome power to the mix.
