Gertrude is none other than Kit Smythe, The Original Ginger from the unaired Pilot episode of "Gilligan's Island!" She was in only 7 TV programs in total, from 1963-1972. This episode, "Love is Blind," is from the first season episode 13 and aired in December 1964. The first episode of Batman aired just over one year later in January of 1966.
Come to think of it, I think that's the only time they showed the art department. Nice touch. That poor vase. I think it was broken three or four times, fixed each time by Sam. 🙂 Darrin is convinced that Gertrude is a witch, just because she's Sam's friend. He did the same thing, jump to conclusion, before he first met Endora. This upset Sam. Darrin assumed that Endora looked like the stereotypical witch. It took Sam, at the wedding, to finally convince Darrin that Gertrude was mortal and their love was real, although Sam helped it along.
My dad hated candle light dinners. Every Anniversary when me mom insisted on a candle light dinner it was fine for her but my dad couldn't see his food so he always brought a flashlight along to the Restaurant.
YES! Being a Billionaire philanthropist ( at a time when being a Billionaire really meant something!), Bruce was a top art student graduating Valedictorian of the Gotham School of Fine Art (which he built and supported, anonymously of course). Bruce quietly owned the McMann and Tate Advertising company, Tate was his uncle, and Bruce liked mixing among the common folk while also fighting crime and drawing women in their underwear. One time, at band camp, he tried to tell Darewood a secret, in a deep and muffled voice over a Crazy Charlie, he whispered in Darwin's ear and told him...."Dennis, I'm Batmannn") They were both so stewed that they laughed it off and Batman secretly married Gertrude. He was also 3rd Cousins 11 times removed to Jim Henson.
@@METVWETV Uh oh. Of course, he had really been trying to score Larry Tate, a supervillain who's main threat was firing anyone who didn't do everything he wanted. He had been tailing Samantha trying to find a way to find her out to the government, so that he could experiment on her and use her powers to become a billionaire, because millionaires are so last year.
Are you kidding me? Did they call Adam West Kermit or was it Hermit? Either one is goofy. Adam West was a very good looking man.Of course somebody got be called kermit/ Hermit but not him!
Adam west is so gorgeous ❤

The crazy Charlie drink sounds strong I'll have to try it
I really liked this episode. There are some types of "magic" far older, and far more powerful than what Sam uses!
I wonder if this was before his Batman days.
Yes
December '64.

Hey do anyone remember the movie "Tammy and the doctor" with Sandra Dee and Peter Fonda? Adam West was in that movie! That's a delightful movie!
