  • In this workout we're focusing on our legs and I have to say this one is quite a challenge but it is not going to make your legs all bulky and big because we don't do a lot of squats here and we try doing more ballet inspired moves to get the legs toned!     Everything hurts, but in a 'this is good, I'm going to be SO SORE tomorrow' way!!! this was a really fun workout, and I love all the challenging moves!

    i'm recovering from a back sprain, and so far this is the perfect routine that helps me "re learn" arabesque and find symmetry again, without stressing the joint.

      I have hypertension in my knees but its not always fun to have. Sure it's pretty but only if you have beautiful feet which I don't. Another thing is my knees are always in pain and there isn't really anything I can do about it. Overall I wish I didn't have a hyperextension.

    I am not a ballerina or that flexible, yet this exercise really left me with a feeling of satisfaction and euphoria that you described in the video! It was hard but you always encourged us all the way, which so important :) Whenever I wanted time to end there were almost always 20 more seconds!!😅

    thank you for another video! for me, it is much easier if you show the exercises in the beginning, like in the "full body pilates no equipment" video. sometimes I don't know the names of the exercises, so seeing them is very helpful. it would be amazing if you could show the sequence in the beginnnig!

      Ballet music would not be adequate for such a short fitness “class” where expressive execution is not required. The moves are ballet inspired but it is about fitness with regular rhythm throughout.

    Thank you very much! This is just what I needed, I have tried so many workouts to slim and tone legs, but none have worked, I'm pretty sure this is going to help me a lot, as a suggestion, could you make a nutrition and diet video for dancers? as to complement the workouts.

    Great workout, but please dont worry it is impossible for most skinny woman to bulk up, only 1% of all females are able to build big and bulky muscles. You are quite muscular but this 1% have a completely different body shape than you (and your sister) have. Its no "problem" for you to lift heavy weights, you will always look lean, toned and not bulky. :)

    Всем девочкам хочу совет дать. Лучше по балетным тренироваться, чем раскачку делать. И не верьте, когда вам говорят, что якобы женщины не накачиваются быстро. Еще как! Массив обеспечен, если делать типичные силовые упры. Особо нормостеников касается. Мышцы быстро откликаются, укрепляются и...в результате вы можете утяжелить низ за счет развитых мышц ног. Это красиво, если ваш рост выше 165, если ниже, то это ужас. И без того короткие ноги превращаются в ноги боксера. Ты становишься крепышом таким на ножках. Так что, только Маша, только балет. Я так расстроена своими тренями в прошлом и своими результатами ужасными, что иногда отчаиваюсь вернуть себе тонкие ноги.

    the short workouts are so good! they make me FEEL better afterwards and I feel like I've done something fit other than dance today... but is it that bad to have bulky muscle? I have a 'bulky' muscle on the back of my thighs and above my knees but don't really look good. is that a problem and if it is will I be able to fix it? thanks so much!

      Only a very few woman have really "bulky" muscles, i guess you have strong and healthy muscles and with low body fat they become visible. Big muscles on the back (thighs) is healthy and that is ALWAYS good. If you really want to hide your muscles you need to cover them with body fat, but I think muscles look better without fat.
      Lets say it this way: too much fat is unhealthy, muscle is healthy, and i think healthy is beautiful. What do you think?

      @@stevemcdaniel5679 yeah I agree. I think I was comparing myself with other girls in my class because they have really lean muscle while I have slightly bigger and more distinct shape of the muscle?? its unhealthy to compare but 😬 I should think of my muscles that way more often. :)

      ​@@zixiong681 Absolutely! It is a gift to have large muscles naturally. Some say it's ugly, but most of them are just jealous because you need very good genes to build muscle easily. The best ballerinas in the world have incredibly muscular legs, arms and backs.
