  • 0:30 - Ballet style leg pilates workout.
    So here's a follow-along workout, the one that I love doing whenever I'm feeling like my legs need some more strength and stability.⠀
    Workout structure: we are doing each exercise for 45 seconds, we have 15 seconds rest intervals in between each exercise and there are 20 exercises in total. You can look at the top left corner to see a preview of an exercise during the rest interval of pilates complex.

    Definitely the best barre video. No unneccesarry waffling (annoying), or wasting time. Just getting on with the workout. Music is bearable too.

    I'm a boxer/coach and I'm going to incorporate this on the days I don't do deadlifts. I already adore and believe in ballet and encourage all my clients/students to explore the benefits. We'll see how it goes..... 🙂

    Great workouts, thank you so much Maria. That amazing combination of having fun and being deadly serious, and that innocent look on you face while doing even the most strenuous exercises! I go for it daily, and my petit battement is beginning to take shape, but my grand plié is still a disaster, so I have a long way to go, but who cares, I am only 82.

    This is by far the best ballet conditioning video. It nearly targets all ballet related muscle groups and works other stabilizing muscles. I have done this for nearly 2 years and I now do this series with weights

    Beautiful! Just when you bend in half to stretch, release your head and neck to elongate the spine and avoid injury. The heaviness of the head will also help the stretch using gravity ❤

    That was a perfect ballet pilates workout with again DIFFERENT MOVES ! So nice this change compared to other fitness ladies on RUclips ! BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And would love other pilates ballet (from an ex-ballet dancer :-) )

    I'm only 12 years od, and I would love to be like you 😊😊❣️...! You're so amazing !!! When I discovered you, I couldn't believe it, you dance so well and you're only 19!! You're probably dancing almost all day long to have such a good level. It's unbelievable you're so flexible !!! I have a question : Did you practise to be that flexible or is it natural ?😄🤔Thank you for your good energy and all your videos !!!
    Could you make a video explaining all the gestures you do to avoid hurting yourself because while you know how to do it many of us are clueless and would love the advice !! ✌️🌻

    If I didn’t appreciate how much strength ballet dancers need before then I DEFINITELY do now
    I do contemporary (mainly) with school and I thought this would be helpful, which it probably will be.
    PS my foot cramped up half was through and it really hurt so I had to take a moment

      Im ballerina but i dont have a diet only eat healthy and good food an every day eat mini desets and candys with sugar the ballerinas eat every types of foods

    Pilates is interesting, one of my favorite ballerinas, Olga Smirnova from Bolshoi, also loves pilates, and I think she has the most beautiful ballet body. Strong and muscular, but at the same time slim and tall. I think pilates shapes the body really well

      To strengthen the ankles and knees you first need to concentrate to build the strength in the core and hip areas. They provide a major support for the lower body. This workout is perfect for it

    Thank you Maria for your lovely workout. I found it very efficient and I feel great after it. The only downside are the adds which they keep coming up during the workout. It used never happen. It is a pity.

    Thanks for posting this on youtube as well! 😘 I already saw this on your instagram and many times have come back to this because it makes me feel relaxed and at the same it's working all my muscles.
    I like the music as well. Can you tell me what music you used or maybe post this in the description box?
    I alternate between the legs when lifting them to the back and side from the position on all fours on the ground. For me (as an amateur) I find it to be a bit more easy to keep up the repetitions and tempo that way 😅
    Anyway, thanks again for all your great content and versatile combinations and excercises. 😄😄They are really helpful! And keep up my spirits during these boring (although mandatory) stay-at-home times 🤗

    I love ❤️that you keep quiet and just workout...I pass up so many bc I can’t stand listening to the piecing laughing noises and gibberish talk. However I would love it if you would warn us that we are working the same leg 3x...different exercises. Because I thought we switched legs...so I was off the whole set 😂. But I still like you 👍thanks for your hard work

    Could somebody please explain me the purpose of pointy feet while doing these exercises? I don’t dance but would love to know more about ballet ☺️

      Pointy feet add the tension by connecting the muscles in the whole leg area, shape the calf as well as improve the results for your thighs/hips
