- In a moment that's as hard to watch as it is inspiring, Hyvon Ngetich crawls to the finish line at the 2015 Austin Marathon. Manuel Bojorquez has the story of what's being called one of the bravest moments in marathon history.
she had no shyness or shame. she just had her eyes on the prize and went for it! incredible and inspiring!
I'm a athlete, vet and so forth with many honors and I have tears in my eyes seeing this clip. The bravery and heart, strength and courage of this woman is inspirational. Some may say it was just a leg race, why run the risk, but this is the way this woman would handle any obstacle in life as well. It's what we're made of that counts in everything we do in life, and she's made of something beautiful it seems to me. May God bless her.
Biggest lesson on determination. Keep your eye on the goal
WOW! her knees were scraped up, muscle spasms to the point of trembling uncontrollably and she couldn't even remember where she was. All she knew is that she had to KEEP ON GOING! what an inspiration and a lesson to all to never take your eyes off the prize.
this is a TRUE ATHLETE......NO SHORTCUTS.....NO CHEATS.....NO STERIODS.....NO NOTHING....PURE GODDESS and WONDERWOMAN you are
THE worst part was that she had to listen to the idiot PA guy the whole time.
Never give up, Never surrender.
I know this is an old video, but I have to comment.

This is more motivating than any self help book or youtube motivational videos
Keep in mind that the first marathonist ran himself to death.
wao, this is amazing and she was still able to finish 3rd unbelievable . feeling inspired by my people.
mental toughness never quit outstanding
I love it. How I wish all the news would be his positive. Made my day!!
One of my friends who is 15 has just won nationals in athletics and is also one of the best in country in swimming and he described hitting the wall as one of the most painful experiences ever. I don't know how he does it. His family pushes him to do sports and runs 100m in 12 seconds. that may seem not that fast but when we're all running next to him it's ridiculous!
Unbelievable!!! You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to
I can feel my knees hurting as I watch this!
