This kid (he’s grown now obviously) grew up on the same street as me. He has a great support system and his family always backed him going to the league. He would play all day into the evening hours during the summer. Hope he still makes it to the NBA.
He and Jaylen Hands were bonafide studs in high school. I for sure thought both would at least be role players in the nba as the lowest expectation i had for them both, while leading a franchise like Ja Morant was my ceiling expectations of them. They still have time but each day that passes, the smaller the chance of them reaching levels i had expected for them years ago.
He should have gone to JUCO, IF his pencil is not that sharp. Honestly, highlights have given SO MUCH to some players, they get the big head and think they are SUPER special. And make the wrong decisions. A dunker is special, BUT having a consistent 3pointer or Midrange game will keep you in the league.
Yup the highlights and mixtapes R cool but it's being able to do the boring stuff making jump shots, making lay ups as a PG making the correct pass an not just always passing for an assist knowing how to run an offense knowing how to play out of the pick and roll this stuff usually doesn't make it onto mixtapes but this is what u need to be N NBA player
@@johndavis9321 And that’s the problem with today’s basketball they are learning how to play the HIGHLIGHT way instead of the way that’s gonna get them a contract
Please do Petteri Koponen. As a Finn i'd love to see him on this series. He was drafted, and had a rocking career at Euro-basketball. He was maybe even bigger talent than Lauri Markkanen, certainly bigger than Hanno Möttölä, who made it to the league. Was it the lack of NCAA career, was he just good enough or was he just at a wrong timeline for Blazers?
He doesnt seem to do much or any European players unless they are very publicized. Cant blame them since it must be a bit harder for him to get more info about the behind the scenes for europlayers, that and its to easy for him to say the same stunts.
Lol Jalen def wasn't a random player.... Def was a highschool superstar....just played himself by going straight out of highschool....should have went to college...plenty of freaks in Gleague though he just another one
Great video as always! Watched a little old school hornets basketball and thought! Wow what happened to kendall gill? Dude was a college star and had a journey men type career. Always thought he had a solid game. Thanks again
I saw him play in high school when he was at Brewster Academy. He did a windmill in the lane from a standstill off an offensive rebound, it was impressive. But he REALLY could not shoot and had very little feel for the game. Just ridiculous athleticism but wasn't even the best player on his own team. I'm not surprised he hasn't seen much of the League yet.
I’ve been a huge fan of your Content since the beginning… Amazing work my guy…. One of my favorites college players was Keith Booth out of the University of Maryland … He also played for the acclaimed Dunbar poets out of Baltimore…
Didn't know he reclassified, but just recall his otherworldly bounce. Feel like if he gets even better at facilitating and his defense, that'd he'd be worth taking a flyer for as the Bucks, who are in desperate need of youth.
Yo JC here's a few more you can do when you got time man. And let me know when you get Dat blue hoodie back in stock man. All dese great vids.. Definitely tryn to support Mike Dickerson Ricky Davis (Duke) Stunted music 🎶 Freck Billionaire Dat kid A+ Mic Geronimo Mad Skillz Chino XL lol
Idk dude. These are the first highlights I’ve seen of him. He shows ELITE athleticism. Too much motion in his jumper which looks slow and inconsistent. He lacks Ja/prime D Rose explosiveness. Not very strong, which he can work on. But u can’t out athlete the most athletic people on the planet. Not a great playmaker. Naw. He’s fun to watch against lesser talent but I just don’t think he has ‘it.’
Hey man love the videos but I would rather you say let’s get it man at the start bc I think the video already started than you always do that little crossover IMO it would make more sense to have that saying be your intro
@@bornfrompainjb The three of them are some notable players from Asia who were seen as NBA prospects who obviously didnt make it, the closest is Japeth Aguillar whi made it to the D-League but Zhang does have another chance since he's still young and was a 4 star recruit. Kobe and Japeth os from Thr Philippines while Zheng is from China.
Just a year in college would've helped if only to see him against better competition. Just based on his athletic gifts, he'd have been a lottery or mid first rounder.
Too many players are taking a shortcut to the pros and end up just like this. I thought he was going to be a star, but they skip college and and end up somehow stuck in the G, or playing over seas. Is the short term bag worth it?
Cause in high school their often matchup against dudes who won't be playing past high school and are way worse athletes than them so they can pretty much do whatever they want and aa bro mentio a shorter 3pt line makes some players look like better shooters than they really are
There are plenty of good dunkers not in the NBA. Just look at The Dunk King and Dunk League. You have to be more than just a good dunker to make the NBA.
This dude jumps from the bottom of the circle (which is hard to do if you arent very tall with long arms, or you have some serious hops) like its nothing!!!
Another guy who I had wished would have taken a bit of time to let his game and iq develop instead of rushin to the league at the first chance from a physical standpoint bro has got all you are looking for
It honestly might’ve been cause it wouldn’t of been much of a competition😂 even his basic dunks look unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it lol
He's a "tweener." He's a guard but not a point guard and not a shooting guard. His listed height of 6'4" is too rich. I saw 6'2.5" for his draft camp results. Good luck to him though!
So much potential. Wish we could've seen what he would've done in college, but for now, just enjoy his amazing athleticism.
Think OutKast would be a great one!
thats all he got he cant shoot
This kid (he’s grown now obviously) grew up on the same street as me. He has a great support system and his family always backed him going to the league. He would play all day into the evening hours during the summer. Hope he still makes it to the NBA.
Cool. I grew up in the same building as his mother on Convent ave in Manhattan.
Bro had so much potential but didn’t have a jumper that wasn’t consistent shout-out to stunt growth ❤
You beat me to it, what people forget about basketball is can you actually play basketball the full game.
He should have went to school and developed pretty much
He still has a good chance to become a good NBA player. Courage, belief and faith big facts G.
He and Jaylen Hands were bonafide studs in high school. Also Trevon Duval
That dunk at the 2:30 mark is wild he took of a step in front free throw line like it was nothing in traffic. 😮
Good update!! I remember seeing him and totally forgot about him!
Man one of my favorite guys ever at the high school level he was amazing and spectacular and seemed like a really good dude
Your assessments of athletic PG, was exceptional. Great insights
He should have gone to JUCO, IF his pencil is not that sharp.

No jumper!! SMH. He was skilled otherwise. Him and Terrance Clark at Brewster were unstoppable!! Rest in peace T Clarke

You got to do one on Duce Bello. Man he was one of the best High School dunkers I’d ever seen
I'm hella proud of your channel's growth big dawg.
Bro you the goat for finding these random players and educating us on the potential talent. I appreciate your channel bro
💯🙌
Lol Jalen def wasn't a random player.... Def was a highschool superstar....just played himself by going straight out of highschool....should have went to college...plenty of freaks in Gleague though he just another one
Good point about athletics pgs I be trynna tell people once that athleticism go there not the same because they didn’t develop skills
Great video as always! Watched a little old school hornets basketball and thought! Wow what happened to kendall gill? Dude was a college star and had a journey men type career. Always thought he had a solid game. Thanks again
Thank you!
Would love to see Sekou Dembouya. He was really heating up before he was cut...didn't make much sense considering his young age
I would be shooting 3k jumpers a day knowing I'm that close to the league
I saw him play in high school when he was at Brewster Academy. He did a windmill in the lane from a standstill off an offensive rebound, it was impressive.
But he REALLY could not shoot and had very little feel for the game. Just ridiculous athleticism but wasn't even the best player on his own team. I'm not surprised he hasn't seen much of the League yet.
3:02 I saw that dunk live and remember being confused why he wasn't on the Bucks and why he was on the Herd
Mayve because you need more than just flashy dunks to make it to the league 🤷🏾♂️
I’ve been a huge fan of your Content since the beginning… Amazing work my guy…. One of my favorites college players was Keith Booth out of the University of Maryland … He also played for the acclaimed Dunbar poets out of Baltimore…
I was literally thinking about this young man the other day & I couldn’t remember what team he last played for, guess I got my answer!
9:54 I can’t believe you name all those PG’s but not the 1 of 3 people to win FMVP as a PG in the past 30 years 😂 aka Mr. Big Shot 😅
Didn't know he reclassified, but just recall his otherworldly bounce. Feel like if he gets even better at facilitating and his defense, that'd he'd be worth taking a flyer for as the Bucks, who are in desperate need of youth.
What is going on with Pierre Jackson?
Yo JC here's a few more you can do when you got time man. And let me know when you get Dat blue hoodie back in stock man. All dese great vids.. Definitely tryn to support

His BallisLife highlights used 2 be 🔥🔥🔥! Always reminded me so much of Russ.
You need to do Lord Fontleroy from SWMSU. He was just like this dude.
Idk dude. These are the first highlights I’ve seen of him. He shows ELITE athleticism. Too much motion in his jumper which looks slow and inconsistent. He lacks Ja/prime D Rose explosiveness. Do a vid on Erik Barkley from NY... High school all american great at St.Johns made it to the NBA Portland JailBlazers
Can you do one on JP Tokoto. He was extremely athletic. Thought he was a lock for the league
Hey man love the videos but I would rather you say let’s get it man at the start bc I think the video already started than you always do that little crossover IMO it would make more sense to have that saying be your intro
Never saw him as a point guard, should’ve been developed as a SG.
Too small
When will the background music be available to access??
I wish you could do more Asian players, dudes like Kobe Paras, Japeth Aguillar and Fanbo Zheng are interesting stunted growths.
Bums!!!
who? are those ppl
@@bornfrompainjb The three of them are some notable players from Asia who were seen as NBA prospects who obviously didnt make it, the closest is Japeth Aguillar whi made it to the D-League but Zhang does have another chance since he's still young and was a 4 star recruit. What happened to red bruin who played for syracuse,He played overseas but not the nba?hes from my neighborhood.
Can you do dion waiters next?
That’ll be good
Do Jaylen Hands next
Do one on Curtis Staples from Virginia
Bro really should’ve went to nc state !
I seen bro live in highschool and used to see him go viral every other day on the gram then forgot about him 😭
Just a year in college would've helped if only to see him against better competition. Just based on his athletic gifts, he'd have been a lottery or mid first rounder.
It’s always the small athletic guards
Do a Jaylen hands one bro💯
Too many players are taking a shortcut to the pros and end up just like this. I thought he was going to be a star, but they skip college and and end up somehow stuck in the G, or playing over seas. Is the short term bag worth it?
U should do Otto porter
He would be in the league if he went to college
I just don’t get how could these young prospects be so good at basketball and not have a decent jumpshot!?
Just think , college nba highscool etc have different three point lines , depending on inside game to much it’s not that hard to figure out
Cause in high school their often matchup against dudes who won't be playing past high school and are way worse athletes than them so they can pretty much do whatever they want and aa bro mentio a shorter 3pt line makes some players look like better shooters than they really are
Reminds me of Dennis Smith Jr alittle
Jah Morant has his hops 😂 str8 up Westbrook Dominique Wilkins off 2 feet gliding and with force damn 💯👍🏾
Can you do Abdul Gaddy?
There are plenty of good dunkers not in the NBA. Just look at The Dunk King and Dunk League. You have to be more than just a good dunker to make the NBA.
Have u done one on Jaylen hands yet
He was actually ranked top 10 until he reclassified
This dude jumps from the bottom of the circle (which is hard to do if you arent very tall with long arms, or you have some serious hops) like its nothing!!!
This kid was special as a prep at Scanlan. Castle Athletics stand up!!
Wow never heard or seen this guy before today he surely has hops I assume his jump shot was probably not that consistent.
He literally said that 😂
"Too much fast twitch" - Gilbert Arenas
He far from a pg and cant shoot like a SG should be able to. He rushed the process which lead to skipping growth points.
What's Stunting Mac McClung growth?
Another guy who I had wished would have taken a bit of time to let his game and iq develop instead of rushin to the league at the first chance from a physical standpoint bro has got all you are looking for
I don't consider myself an expert on this by any means but his first step seems a little slow for an nba guard.
Frank Mason
Is it too early to do a Kai Sotto vid?
Isaiah briscoe
he did Briscoe
Even though he is very athletic I just don't think he gets up high enough to be dunking on NBA centers
He’s 22 lol , still time younger then some seniors
He jumps high but isn’t that quick or fast …. Skillset is EHHH as well
Tony Bradley
Malik Pope Next!
Speedy Claxton
I wonder why he wasn't in the NBA Dunk Contest?? They let Matt McClung in from the G league...why not him?
It honestly might’ve been cause it wouldn’t of been much of a competition😂 even his basic dunks look unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it lol
Nah bro tell me why I thought this was Quavo 😂
Do devoe Joseph from Canada
Do Ike Diagou he fell off the face of the earth!
That’s not how you pronounce his name
Another Jalen jumper
What ever happens to Jaylen Hands
Psalms 34:8😊
Kyree Walker
Bro should have went to college but I guess hindsight is 20/20
Chase Adam
He's a "tweener." He's a guard but not a point guard and not a shooting guard. His listed height of 6'4" is too rich. I saw 6'2.5" for his draft camp results. Good luck to him though!
Noah faarakhan
Great 👍 job JC like lavar said stay in your lane. He was never going to be able to make it.
Baby Westbrook 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Whos man's is this
Stunted growth just because you’re a good dunker, doesn’t mean you deserve to be in the nba. If you’re good enough they’ll find you
He went to the wrong college
No way that dude is 6’4
No way right. Even more impressive though
