All that's keeping me from fully leaving Twitter for Bluesky is one missing feature: getting notifications on my phone when accounts I choose make new posts. I don't always have time to scroll my timeline but I don't want to miss out on potentially time-sensitive updates from certain people I follow online.
They don't have Notifications like that, but what you can do is create a List with just the people you want to check on. Then you can just check that feed when you want to catch up.
Thank you for your video. As suggested, I have to watch it a few times to digest the full content. Do you have any ideas where I can find information on inserting pictures into my posts? When using my iPhone, I click on the picture icon and get the message that BlueSky needs permission to access my photographs. When I click on that link, the permission is on. However, I still cannot insert pictures. Any ideas would be helpful.
@@nmcgya Alt tex is "alternative text." These are descriptions of you pictures that "readers" read to visually impaired users so they know what is in it.
A pined feed is pinned to your home screen tabs. Your saved feeds you have to into your feeds to see. It just take an extra step. The advantage is you can have more feeds without cluttering up your "home" tabs.
Not only is it possible, it's easy. Just post the link. And the best part is that if people have their settings set to play, they can play the video from inside the post without leaving BSKY. And you still get credit for the video from RUclips.

Dont agree with not posting twitter screens. Theres obv a limit and it should be done as commentary of the screenshot. But in order for this to outgrow twitter and people to ditch twitter its the best if most influential tweets get into the system to be discussed in bluesky as well, intead of going twitter and look for what people are referring to. I believe if you block the person, it will remove you from any lists they have you on. If it's a "friendly," and you don't want to do that, you can just ask them.

Add my Starter Pack 1. It has the feed you need. Then just leave the red pin emoji .

You may need to add alt text. I'm not sure. I've only used it on my laptop.

I would start by contacting the list owner and ask them to remove you. They’re generally happy to oblige
