If you release a recording I would ask that the sax player (Cliff) holds out longer notes at the end of phrases. Layne’s vocals in the original were very hypnotic and if you guys slowed it down in the beginning you could really play into that.

The notes are shorter but perhaps this is Cliff's style and interpretation of it? It's different to the original but that's perfectly fine and shows a new dimension that the song could offer. If you're not keen on it then that's fair enough but requesting this of Cliff seems a little strange? Either way, it's all different tastes and interpretations!
