This is EXACTLY how I thought they would use Simmons in Bowen's D! I think it's going to work out very well for him and for the defense overall because it'll play to his strengths vs the run and he'll have safety help vs the pass as well as being able to blitz! Excellent breakdown!
Isaiah going to have a year!
Thank you for the breakdown of Isaiah Simmons role. He's such a great talent, but rarely discussed and I've been very curious how his skills will be deployed. To me, Simmons and Justin Pinnock are like the OG Anunoby & Mikal Bridges of the Giants defense.
Not bad comps. Versatility with Simmons for sure.
We have some dogs on defense man.
Simmons, burns, Lawrence, kayvon, etc.
If are offense can play good maybe we can compete for the division
Division will be tough but a leveled offense could help.
Forgot Bobby Okereke also. We deep on defense this year.
Wouldnt he win vs more TE's than #2s?
