You’re right, in the book Pen & Lady Danbery have a really close friendship & she is actually the one who gets Colin to realize that Pen could be his one❤
I love pen and Colin's relationship- they have the strongest most realistic relationship I have seen so far and I love it- they pick up when something is wrong with the other, Colin gives her space to tell when she is ready. I love that when they talk outside of the modiste he is actively listening- he asks her questions, he doesn't yell at her, he stays calm, he doesn't run away, and she genuinely answers them - it's clear it's more about his jealousy and his fear for her safety then her actually being whistledown. When he said that she entrapped him he clearly said that out of pain and anger (which he is entitled too), because she didn't entrap him- he is the one who initiated sex, both in the carriage and the mirror (checking both times before continuing) she repeatedly gives him an out and he doesn't take it because he knows deep down that she didn't do that he is just deeply hurt that she kept that a secret and he loves her and wants to marry her. If she had entrapped him she wouldn’t give him multiple outs. I love what pen says about what it’s like for women because it’s true- it was amazing watching her stand up to colin in that moment. Women are taught to shield the parts of themselves that are flawed, not perfect, not allowed to be harsh, to call out bullshit in how they are treated- to constantly be mansplained, if tough in the way men are- act the way men do at meetings- automatic bitch, man acts the same way- praised. This also can be applied to nonbinary people regardless if they present more feminine, but especially if they are someone who does present more feme because we are then confused for a woman and continue to get all the mysagonistic bullshit regardless. It's obvious how much he wants to be physically intimate with her but is holding back because he is still processing all of this new information which I love- when he opens the door and she is standing there and you see him almost go in and kiss her but he restrains himself even though he wants to because he is not ready. He deeply loves her and for him to have sex with her when they are not in a good place isn't fair to her or him- so by not having sex he is respecting both of them. The first show runner also said that Colin is supposed to be demisexual so him not wanting to have sex when they are not in a good space makes sense- he feels disconnected to her and not having sex with her because he is still processing so much new information and feels emotionally separated from her at the moment makes complete sense. He is still being protective of her, he doesn’t leave and sleep at his mother’s house he stays and supports her when she decides to out herself. It has been ingrained in him that it is a mans job to provide for and protect his wife, so when she says she can take care of herself and he says then what good am I to you, you can feel the pain, pen is independent and doesn't need him in that way, she just needs him for him and it takes some time for him to accept the role reversal. I love how the letters help him reconnect with pen because he can tell he is losing her- they also help him realize he has always known both sides of her- LW was her in the letters they were never separate people- she was always LW- and he has always known that person and has always loved that person! I loved season 3- the culmination of a 10 yr relationship and 3 yrs of unconventional courting all coming together to show a beautiful, realistic, romantic, intimate relationship come to fruition! Those 10 yrs of friendship is still a part of their romantic relationship- when friendship transitions to romantic all those yrs of friendship don't suddenly become separated from it, like it's a completely different relationship- it now being romantic- the romantic just gets added on, I know a lot of people were frustrated with there being very little intimacy, but there was a ton of intimacy- it just wasn't sexual intimacy- There was an insane amount of emotional intimacy as well as many other forms of intimacy. There was no time jump- when Colin is talking to pen about something always between us she says I know maybe that's the key and takes his hands and puts them on her stomach and he visually reacts- she is already pregnant!
3:57 a lot of the set pieces are in Bath, UK. I actually go to university there currently and there are a load of Bridgerton themed things that happen in the city especially in the summer!
Apparently Luke was supposed to play Colin's reaction to it with more outright anger but he went with tears instead, and I think that's absolutely the better route for his character. If it helps, John's cousin Michaela is Michael in the books, so they've decided to genderswap the character and that may change some plots later on, so that's why that moment might have seemed strange/stood out for an unknown reason at the time.
BOOK SPOILER I hear in Francesca's story, her husband dies and she falls in love with his cousin Michael and then has a baby. Not sure how they will play that out since they made Michael Michaela, because she can't get Francesca pregnant
SPOILER WARNING FOR ANYONE LOOKING They could just not have them have kids. When I was researching about the Bridgerton books through the author’s website, I found out in When He Was Wicked that you don’t actually find out if Micheal and Francesca had kids. It’s only revealed in an epilogue she wrote in The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After, a bunch of short stories to do with the couples. Regardless, I’m sure people still want Francesca to have kids and I’d like to see it too so I think there’s two options possible that’d work best: 1. Have Francesca get pregnant before John passes and either she has the baby a bit after he dies or he dies soon after the child is born, leaving her a single mother. This could lead to Michaela coming to support her and is how Francesca begins to grow feelings over time. I haven’t read the book but I think I’ve heard she was actually pregnant before John died but had a miscarriage? So they could edit that to her not having one and actually having the baby. 2. They have John pass and the two don’t end up having kids. Francesca begins to fall for Michaela but knows she wants to have kids so it’s difficult for her to have to put that aside (kind of like how Daphne thought Simon couldn’t have kids but because she loved him was willing to be with him even if she still wanted kids desperately). I think one idea they could play with is perhaps adoption. Maybe there’s a husband and wife close by to them who passes that left behind a baby and Francesca takes the child in and raises them as her own. I think it’d be nice to see the show, show us that a child does not need to be blood related for you to care for them.
@@rainbowdreams341 BOOK SPOILERS Yes, I suggested something like this too (suggested is probably not the right word, because who is listening to us?). 1. If Francesca has a baby, the baby will become earl (most titles in Scotland being heritable by women/girls if there are no male heirs). Michaela comes to support her. 2. If there is no baby, Michaela inherits the title and goes away out of guilt for wanting John's wife (as in the book) and having John's title. Comes back at some point, when Francesca is entering the marriage mart because she wants to remarry to have a baby. 2a. Eventually gives up idea of having a baby because of love of Michaela. The title would die with Michaela then. 2b. Same as 2a, but there is a distant cousin (maybe a girl) they can take in who can then be the heir. Although non-blood related, as you suggest, would be good. I'm not sure whether the title is tied to blood, though? Title dies out if so. Which is a problem if Michaela pre-deceases Francesca, Anyway, the show would be over before we get that far. :)
@@HuntingViolets BOOK SPOILERS These are all such good ideas! I remember I found out about the women being able to become earls in Scotland a few days ago, which I found so interesting. Having them take in a distant cousin is actually so good I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. I tried to do some quick research about if titles can go to adopted kids and it seems definitely back then they couldn’t (seems in 2004 they changed it a bit to make it somewhat they could). Adoption also apparently wasn’t something that really properly existed back then and didn’t come to how we know it today till the 1920s. However we all know the the show doesn’t tend to be fully accurate to the regency era it’s more just a baseline, so I could see them making it so it’s possible for an adopted child to be an heir if they don’t have any other children.

Loved this season lve always loved Colin and pens love story it’s just pure and romantic. Luke newton did a phenomenal job as Colin this year and that performance when he finds out was phenomenal. I can’t wait to see more of them in s4 as a happy married couple.
Thanks for telling us about the talking AI. I may be 37 years old but I would love to write a fanfiction for Titanic, one where Jack survives and reunited with Rose afterwards. Seriously, if Rose had of stayed on that Boat rather than jumping off it to be with Jack, he could have either had more time to see about getting on the boat on the other side of the ship that was letting me on, or perhaps he would of found himself in the water and found the door that Rose used and didn't share or take turns with Jack. They could of saved him from the water and they could of had a wonderful like together. I mean, she had the heart of the ocean diamond in her pocket, that would of helped them have money to travel back to his home and visit any family he had there and build a little house for them to start a family. I remember crying for 3 hours after watching Titanic in the movie theater when I was 10 years old. It would be so wonderful to read a well written fanfic or play around with the characters in Titanic and try to save Jacks life. Perhaps you could make Rose and Jack lure Calls henchman away and knock I him out and steal his gun. And Rose get onto the boat and wait for Titanic to sink and see if Jack on any of the other boats or use the weapon to force those Titanic staff guys on the boat to go back and help her find Jack. I mean seriously, that ending has troubled me all this time. They could of had such a wonderful life together. They were robbed of it. So I wonder if you can change up the story's in movies entire in Talkie Ai and go on a mission to save someone like Jack Dawson from dying. That would truly be an awesome app of it let you change up the story that much. I just wanted them to be free from Cal and her mother and get married and have kids. Is that really too much to ask? Lol
Reading this really got me emotional, you have so many great thoughts about what-ifs and paths the story and characters could take! It really isn't too much to ask and gosh I really hope you find the time and courage to just... Start writing that story. Obviously that can be daunting and time consuming and maybe even a bit scary, but that's okay! Your ideas are worth exploring, worth engaging with. You clearly care deeply about storytelling and it would be sad if you didn't try finding your own way of telling that narrative just because this app scratched the itch. I won't get into the layers of problems surrounding generative AI and how badly it's impacting every creative community out there, though I'd encourage you to look into it. I just wanna encourage you to try writing what you want to see. 37 is a great age to start writing and you deserve to experience that joy of actually creating a story.
Thank you for the kind comment. I use to write fictional short stories when I was a kid and teen. Sometimes I am inspired to write some even now. I'm an avid book reader and I have read thousands of stories on fanfiction over the years. And although there are a lot of authors and stories that didn't do it for me and the author needed more practice and experience, I have come across some really talented authors on there that built another storyline based on a fav movie, book or show and made it their own. And so, sometimes I get inspired to do the same. I've thought up so many different scenarios of Jack surviving Titanic. I think one of my favs I thought up is Rose does use Jacks last name Dawson so Cal and her mother Ruth thinks Rose is dead. Rose think Jack is dead but what she does t know is that he was saved in the water by another boat. But he needs medical attention and is in the hospital getting the care he needs. Meanwhile, Rose bumps into Molly the sweet lady who let Jack wear her sons tux for the dinner party, and Molly takes Rose in to live with her. Rose volunteers at the hospital and she is still deeply grieving for Jack. And I set it up where her and Jack have a very heartfelt reunion in the hospital. I also later being Roses mother Ruth back into the picture who has by then learned some hard lessons and feels regret for how she failed her daughter as a mother. And she is given a second chance to have a healthy relationship with Rose and she accepts Jack as her son in law. I was able to really take off with that storyline. It was fun playing the what if game with our favorite characters. And sometimes when inspiration hits, it's almost like the story is writing itself. But yeah, I do enjoy writing when inspiration hits. And I'm a singer and musician, so sometimes I can be inspired to write a song about a few characters that moved me. And ever since I was a kid, I always enjoyed sketching and traditional art. So, I definitely like to keep my imagination vibrant and flowing as I get older. It truly makes me happy. We are all blessed with many gifts and skills of our own. I may not be the master in each of my skills. But having a large variety of skills and dipping your toes in and learning new things is very good and useful. Here lately, I've been busy with a project of Remodeling and old house with my hubby. I've been learning several DIY projects as well. Of course we will hire professionals on some things. But we are trying to work together and do what we can on our own as well. So it's been fun learning new skills. Just goes to show that your never too old to learn a new skill. Thanks again for your nice comment and I hope you have a blessed day!
The show runner has come out and said that Penelope got pregnant during their first time, so the time jump wasn’t as drastic as it seems. I kind of wish they had laid out hints of that in the show though.
They did- she was constantly putting her hand on her stomach- one of the major ones was when she put her hand on her stomach when she was leaving the modistes and ran into Colin( the whole interaction was one of my favorite scenes) she put her hand on her stomach multiple times Besides all the hand on stomach moments the scene when she is standing by the mirror before she writes all the letters the way her outfit falls made her look like she was pregnant there were probably more and they were all subtle
@@rubysmolen5155 She does it throughout the whole show, though. Every time Pen is stressed or anxious, she touches her stomach, even in season 1. There was a lot of stress and drama this season, so she does it a lot. She also wouldn't be able to tell for most of the time shown. Considering the wedding is about three weeks after the mirror scene (they had the banns read in the church, which takes three Sundays), she would not have been able to even know her period is late before the weeding. She could have suspected that later at her sisters' ball (the timeline is fuzzy but it like likely 1-2 weeks later), but then she wouldn't have proposed annulment if she already knew she is pregnant.
@@berlineczka she could've still popped the annulment and decided to raise he baby on her own- Colin reacts when she puts his hand on her stomach in a way that says she's pregnant- his whole body goes back she could've known by then or at least suspected- penn is very smart- smarter then. I think anyone ever gives her credit for- the characters of the show or even the audience. they had to figure out they were pregnant in a different way back then- she could at least be suspicious that she is by then- she was also going over the plan with him- but I personally think they are going over both- the plan for LW and telling Colin she is pregnant( atleast suspects)
@@rubysmolen5155 Well, they would not have been granted an annulment if she was pregnant. If she was pregnant, annulment was no longer a possibility. Also, even if, that would mean that the child would be born out of wedlock and would mean ruin for her and the child itself. Sure, she had the means to support herself due to her LW income but that would not have saved her from social ruin and the child of being excluded from the Ton.
@@berlineczka I think she was more concerned about her outing as LW affecting Colin’s family and just wanted Colin and his family being safe then her own well-being because that’s Penn- she wanted Colin to be ok and was more worried about what being associated with LW would do to him and his family because she loved him and his family so much and was putting his needs above hers because that’s what penn always does( regardless if she knew by then or not) because that’s Penn💕 my personal opinion/take💕❤️💜
Exactly it wasn't even Cressida it was her mother because Cressida doesn't have the words like Penelope does because LW is Penelope's life work that is why Penelope is so good with being LW! Cressida is such a pain in the freaking butt!
I’m sorry, I have never liked Benedict and am not looking forward to next season. The weird thing is that I know he’s a super popular character, but everyone I know in real life who watches Bridgerton hates him. I don’t know how I ended up surrounded by a group of people with the exact same minority opinion as me.
Why should Eloise forgive Penelope? Colin knows Eloise loves Penelope; I guess he thinks that isn't as important. -What did Penelope say? It "turned into a real friendship over time"? Is she talking about her friendship with Eloise? Is she saying it was just a way to Colin at first?- Edit: Surprised no one stepped in to reply or correct this, but, no, Penelope was talking about her friendship with Colin.
10:58 Nuh uh....F%#% this guy. Spoiler Alert. Her brother's excuse is that he was 10 years old...........No. If he was like five or six years old yeah, not at ten. Kids notice a lot of things, and they KNOW a great deal what is going on around them. For example at four years old I found out some s*** that I flat out knew right then and there what it was. At eight years old I knew that DV happens to married women. I notice and KNEW a lot of "stuff" long before I was 10. He said "You were trying to escape" (he KNEW she was trying to escape) then he said "I had no concept of what you were running from" Oh really? So he took it upon himself to stop her and turn her in, to their dad. He knew she was trying to escape and didn't even bother to ask her why? He also said something like "I knew the world was not a safe place for young ladies" So he knew the world was not a safe place for women but he did not notice that Lady Danbury (who was still a kid at the time) is being forcibly married to an old fossil, old enough to be her grandfather? And he did not notice she didn't want that? You know like that exact same scene where Cressida was being forcibly married to a man 3x her age. Did SHE look like she was having fun? Never occurred to him that was the reason she was trying to escape? He didn't have to stand up to his father, all he had to do was remain silent and let her escape. So supposedly trying to "protect" her as was his claim.........Sure 🤨 What he actually did was helping the predator trap the prey in this case in marriage. He condemned Lady Danbury to endure decades of marital 🍇starting when she was a kid, and who know what else. When she could have been freed, when she was so close to escaping. Queen Charlotte was inspired by ACTUAL EVENTS, which includes Lady Danbury being groomed at three.
He was still a CHILD. It doesn't matter if he was 4, 10, or 14. He is not old enough to know what's the right thing to do in this situation. Just because you think you did at that age doesn't mean that everyone else does.
@@anafromr5413 Still does not change the fact that he helped the predator instead of her. Also.......14? You already lost the argument by 14 for SURE he should have known better. It was obvious to anyone 6 years old and up that she did not want to marry this man and he took it upon himself to turn her in. What do you think happened to Lady Danbury, as a kid, on her wedding night? I highly doubt there was consent and she was just a kid too.
When you talked about the pros and cons of living back then... TV... I could bring myself to live without (because books exist) TP on the other hand... 🧻🧻🧻

Probably a lot of Jane Austen-themed things too, what with the Bath connection.
@@HuntingViolets oh for sure!
29:00 they actually are in the books
It heightens their relationship more in the books, sad we didn’t get more of it this season
lol his confusion over Francesca is hysterical
Apparently Luke was supposed to play Colin's reaction to it with more outright anger but he went with tears instead, and I think that's absolutely the better route for his character. If it helps, John's cousin Michaela is Michael in the books, so they've decided to genderswap the character and that may change some plots later on, so that's why that moment might have seemed strange/stood out for an unknown reason at the time.
Portia and penelope working things out was so sweet best part of the season !
Luke Newton gave a really great performance. Nicola is so good and charismatic too. I loved this season so much.
The wedding song is Yellow by Coldplay 💛
BOOK SPOILER
I hear in Francesca's story, her husband dies and she falls in love with his cousin Michael and then has a baby. Not sure how they will play that out since they made Michael Michaela, because she can't get Francesca pregnant
You really should give a spoiler alert for this comment. If anyone isn't familiar with the books, they may not want to know this in advance

SPOILER WARNING FOR ANYONE LOOKING
They could just not have them have kids. Regardless, I’m sure people still want Francesca to have kids and I’d like to see it too so I think there’s two options possible that’d work best:

BOOK SPOILERS
Yes, I suggested something like this too (suggested is probably not the right word, because who is listening to us?).

BOOK SPOILERS
These are all such good ideas!
I do think next season will be about Benedict too. I'm excited!
I adored this season and love your reaction 💛
Loved this season lve always loved Colin and pens love story it’s just pure and romantic. Luke newton did a phenomenal job as Colin this year and that performance when he finds out was phenomenal. I can’t wait to see more of them in s4 as a happy married couple.
I hope it's not even close to the end? I am obsessed and this season was perfect.
Love your reactions you never disappoint 💛💛
Hell yeah they're trying to get 5k pounds. That's over 500k pounds today 11:58
They did- she was constantly putting her hand on her stomach- one of the major ones was when she put her hand on her stomach when she was leaving the modistes and ran into Colin( the whole interaction was one of my favorite scenes) she put her hand on her stomach multiple times
Besides all the hand on stomach moments the scene when she is standing by the mirror before she writes all the letters the way her outfit falls made her look like she was pregnant there were probably more and they were all subtle
@@berlineczka I think she was more concerned about her outing as LW affecting Colin’s family and just wanted Colin and his family being safe then her own well-being because that’s Penn- she wanted Colin to be ok and was more worried about what being associated with LW would do to him and his family because she loved him and his family so much and was putting his needs above hers because that’s what penn always does( regardless if she knew by then or not) because that’s Penn💕 my personal opinion/take💕❤️💜
Are you gonna plan on watching Inside Out 2 when it comes out on stream? 😉
Seeing those hazbin hotel clips part of those video was Cheryl on top of ice cream
2 mins early!!! Absolutely love your reactions 😊
well done keep it up sir.
Someone was gone for a concerningly long time 🤨
Hoping that season four is Benedict`s season.
Here early finally
You gotta dye your hair like Tanjiro Kamado. You're close to it.
He's just a redhead😭
Can you react to "The King's Affection"? 😱😭💔
Istg if u don't stop disparaging lord killmartin 🤬 Being (likely) neurodivergent and (definitely) introverted does NOT equal dull.
Just watched it and I must say, what a wonderful way to end such a bright and colorful program
"This is very Cressida coded." Except it wasn't even Cressida who wrote that part; it was Lady Cowper.
Exactly it wasn't even Cressida it was her mother because Cressida doesn't have the words like Penelope does because LW is Penelope's life work that is why Penelope is so good with being LW! Cressida is such a pain in the freaking butt!
They are gender-bending Francesca's love interest. Season 4 should be Benedict's story because of the masquerade ball reference.
💜💜
Why has the MID community been so inactive these days?
Utube in general these days
Have you watched The Owl House? I think you would love it.
Me laughing as Cressida is carried away to misery 😂😂
I’m sorry, I have never liked Benedict and am not looking forward to next season. The weird thing is that I know he’s a super popular character, but everyone I know in real life who watches Bridgerton hates him. I don’t know how I ended up surrounded by a group of people with the exact same minority opinion as me.
" 🦶 " I have been waiting for a new upload from ya. 😏☕️👌
Uh, Eloise has NOT been in love thanks.
So the price for you to match thee thumbnail is to go MIA for a long time. Got it!
?
He said "You were trying to escape" (he KNEW she was trying to escape) then he said "I had no concept of what you were running from"
Oh really?
So supposedly trying to "protect" her as was his claim.........Sure 🤨
What he actually did was helping the predator trap the prey in this case in marriage.
It’s just awful 😂 I don’t know how people like this 🤷🏻♀️
