Your little odd piece (clock hand, Buckle bit) could also be a keyhole cover from a lock. I am an American Indian and my mother used to take us out to a spot where our ancestral tribe had a summer camp. We used to bring home burlap bags full of pottery which my mom would turn into art pieces and finding an impression of a fingerprint was very exciting to know my Ancestors had touched the piece I was holding, the most special thing my mom found by sifting an area was a paper- thin bead made from obsidian glass or a black stone. My brother found a lot of arrowheads, I myself only found one from our tribe but I still have it.
I find it very relaxing to watch these vids, wish I had local fields near me in outskirts of Liverpool. I have found a hand full of worn out coins in the past but no Roman.
Great episode dan.Smashing it with the manticore buh! The Green glazed shard is probly grimston ware. Made just up the road from me. Im getting the LEGEND soon so will be interesting to see what it can winkle out of my heavily detected permissions. Keep swinging🤙
Found my first Roman(Constantius) and first hammered Henry iii on Sunday after 6 months detecting, still smiling today!!! I'd love a field like this. Really enjoy watching your videos even with a bit of envy pmsl. Nice one 👍🏻
It blows my mind , those romans come out of the ground with amazing detail, given the age it’s staggering , holding that history in your hand!! Well done Dan
Said it before Dan but I’m 100% sure the legend was missing those tiny romans.. your Roman finds have definitely doubled if not more since switching👌🏻 great finds mate
@@markjohnnojohnson5352 - I am rather new to the hobby. Bought a Legend as my first actual piece of kit and it's still sitting in its box, patiently waiting. All and all these (Nox, Legend) appear to be great machines. If it wasn't for the high price - Deus 2 seems great too
great video dan , as always can't help but say the beginning of the videos what sort of dance is that ??? i want to see you doing the peter crouch dance next time you find gold 😂😂
Hi dan, another brilliant video, like how you really take the time showing the finds, what a field that is, You seem to of changed your discrimination pattern slightly than the one on your setting pics on Facebook, do you find that pattern better
I think the only thing I have changed, is I've slightly lifted that left area by a couple. It's just enough to block out some of those bolt shaped rusty iron blobs 👍
Cracking day Dan 👏👏👏 Can I ask what settings you are using please. Obviously sensitivity and recovery to suit land. You in all terrain gen??? Those small Romans you aint missing much. Great vid sir👍
I use all terrain fast on the roman field. If you want my full settings, go over to the Digger Dan Metal Detecting Facebook page and look in the featured section 👍
Subbed because I want to find Roman again one day! hehe

Can’t believe you gave away my knife. 😂
Hahaha sorry mate 😅 🤣

Fields are very very good at growing stones. Keep an eye out for flint tools. You might be on to something! ❤
