In the legal sense I was their slave. As long as they profited on my suffering and to be underpaid by legal stature, they reaped in their benefits. What’s worse than a narcissistic abusive father? A mother that stays silent about it.

    • @EIizabethGrace
      @EIizabethGrace 3 года назад +85

      She didn’t stay silent. She’s the most blatantly narcissistic of the two and spent all the interview abusing him in various ways, gaslighting, discrediting and being aggressive towards him. I would go as far as to say she may very well have been the main problem in this kid’s life, although the father could obviously be more violent. Definitely not a passive accomplice.
      Also, no. A parent who stays silent about their partner’s abuse of their kid is far from ideal and should try to find a way to protect their child, but they might be failing at that out of (often reasonable) fear, they might be victims themselves, in denial (again, out of fear), or ignorant of the matter. The abuser is the one doing the abusing and putting everyone in a scary and dangerous situation. Not having the guts or means to get your kid out of an abusive home isn’t worse than abusing them. In a lot of cases it’s not even close.
