I'm using #Songtember to try out for the first time tracking live drums. I've always done the same in programming beats, but now in a new house where I can have a live kit in the basement. Tracking went great and now mixing, which is a different beast with live takes vs. programmed.
Way cool there Prog Pete !!! Jade killed it on the drums. Drums are so fun - like everything else, variation is the key to not be bored as a listener OR as a "player" but much much more work as a programmer (way way more fun to just play them instead).

I use mostly iOS for music creation which uses AUv3 (Audio Unit v3) plugins. VSTs are for PC and Mac, and there are plenty of tutorials online that can help you with this.

I’ve downloaded all of the logic audio packs but I don’t have the socal kit and many other sounds available on garageband. Do you know how to get it on iPad logic?
Hmmmm….. should all be there if you’ve downloaded the GarageBand compatibility pack? Though I have heard that some sounds only come across when you import a GarageBand project with them already in there.

I don’t know how I missed this because I spend probably 80% of my time programming my drums to make them sound right and I found this very useful.

How can you creat a drum bus for all 8 drum tracks for example. Haha im a studio one user and just shifted to logic, so noob haha
Hey there. You’ll want a summed track stack for that. I haven’t covered it in detail yet but I will soon. Check the Logic Probioad manual for now.
