    Cool vid Jade and neat hack ! In Logic Pro Mac, there is the Producer Kit which is the same as regular kits (So Cal, Liverpool and such) with a little + after the name. These drum kits are already separated. Are those on iPad too ?

      I have looked and can’t seem to find any other way to do it apart from this

      I guess the solution would be to create all your kits in a song (Mac version), then open that song on the iPad. Then save those drum kits as iPad kit presets? Not tried it but might work.

    Superb. I’ve been trying to do this for a couple weeks on my own with no luck. Duplicating each track was the missing piece to the puzzle. I’ve been recording with my Roland TD17 via usb midi. Total game changer! I can pick and choose each drum. I can now EQ each drum/cymbal. Brilliant mate!

    Brilliant hack, Jade. Thanks. I actually watched this last week, but forgot to like and comment, and just watched it again so I can try it.

    👏👏 wasn't aware of the problem as i imported the samples and it works great, just as electronic sets. So fun to watch you find the workarounds. There are so many people who just give up when they see the smallest obstacle... Who would ve thought that you have to be creative when creating music lol

    Do you know how to view drums as the actual kit ? I've gotten there before but can't anymore 😕

    Amazing brother. Thank you. I’ve trying to figure this exact problem out all week.
    I was getting frustrated at apple for not considering us rock artists.
    Side note. Once you completed this process once save the project to a stencil folder then you can copy and rename it for future projects without having to repeat this whole process.

    Man I just added my own samples over an electronic kit set so it would make stack folder just like the electronic kits do and just saved it but this is a great video for anyone who wants to use those kits because they are not bad kits

      I’ve been trying to find a way to do this since Logic Pro dropped. I made the video for importing samples but didn’t want to give up finding a way to use the Logic kits because not everyone wants to import samples. So at least we have this hack!

    I’ve downloaded all of the logic audio packs but I don’t have the socal kit and many other sounds available on garageband. Do you know how to get it on iPad logic?

    For some reason after creating the summing track, the drums are not separated when using a midi keyboard, or when programing through the main midi track. Instead every piece of the drums are multiplied by how many tracks I have. So when I hit the kick drum, it plays 15 kick drums at the same time. Same goes for every piece of the drumkit.

    • @JadeStarr
      @JadeStarr  Год назад

      You need to make sure you join the parts of the main drum track before splitting by midi note.

    I just tried it with the drummer track to convert by note pitch and for some reason, it added 100 tracks, of which the last 6 were used, the others were all empty. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Has anyone else encountered this? I can delete the unused tracks, but just wondered why it is different to what you got. I also found that when I have split the drum track into arrangement sections, despite selecting all, it only converted the first section. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    • @JadeStarr
      @JadeStarr  Год назад +1

      I’ve never encountered that. I’ve done the very same thing at least 15 times today and not seen that happen. No idea what to tell you

    • @MickTurnerMusic

      @@JadeStarr I just went back and checked. Those tracks weren’t empty. What has happened is that has converted each section separately, so now I have multiple kick tracks, snare tracks etc. Weird!

    • @JadeStarr
      @JadeStarr  Год назад

      @@MickTurnerMusic you convert the drummer track to midi first then split by note. I did it exactly how I did it in the video

    • @MickTurnerMusic
      @MickTurnerMusic Год назад +1

      @@JadeStarr Have you tried splitting the drum track at the play head, and then separate the tracks, or have you only done one continuous track? When I split it into midi it does the same, only I now have 100 midi tracks.

    • @JadeStarr
      @JadeStarr  Год назад +1

      @@MickTurnerMusic ahh yes now I know what you mean. You have to Jon the entire drum track together for my method to work or else the tracks get split into many sections. Sorry it’s late here
