  • Ok folks this is it: test driving the new Aristides H/O7 headless model!
    This prototype is ridiculously good, super lightweight (~5.5 lbs), unbelievably comfortable and massive sounding just like any Arium specimen. It features dual (identical) output jacks and an extra lower cutaway that allows it to rest on your legs in essentially 3 positions depending on your playing style... (more details in an upcoming video)
    Loaded with Lundgren M7 pickups, I briefly go through its paces in both high gain and clean scenarios... for me the highlight is the bridge pickup in humbucker mode full distortion, however these pickups clean up nicely as well, especially in split coil mode.
    Signal chain:
    - Aristides H/O7R (multiscale) in raw teal finish w/Lundgren M7 pickup set
    - KHDK Ghoul Jr. (clean boost)
    - Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 (Extreme mode)
    - Rivera Rockcrusher recording (power amp output capture)
    - Axe Fx III in "5 cable method" w/OwnHammer IR
    - Logic Pro X
    - Final Cut Pro

    About to order one next month. Curious why you went with the Lundgrens over the Knuckles or Fishmans? Did they sound best to your ear?
    I also have a Mesa mini markV and axefx. Spooky shit. Do you also prefer redheads? Maybe my dad isn't so honest. All joking aside, nice rig.

      Johnny Piston oh this guitar was a factory prototype I was lucky enough to try out and it already came with Lundgrens. Personally I don’t like BKPs, the Lundgrens I like the most are the Black Heaven. But probably won’t order passives on an H/O because the custom slants won’t give me an option to swap later if I want. Having said that I’ll go with EMGs or Fishman Abasis. Dude the Mark V’s are so underrated, they can sound so nasty and the axe fx is an invaluable tool!

    I just bought the M7 for my Jackson Misha.
    How high so you have the pickup from the string? It would be much appreciated. You've got a great sound and the output sounds right. Awesome playing dude. Thanks 💜✌️

      Hey thanks a lot!! I don’t have this guitar anymore because it was a prototype I just demoed. But with the M7 make sure you don’t have them too close to the string. I’d aim to have about 1/3 cm and experiment from there. Cheers!

      Im about to do the same. How do you like the pickup? What tuning do you use it for?

      @@chrissrelentless6616 imma jump in and say it’s awesome in drop G. Mike Stringer from Spiritbox uses them 90% of the time in his 070r on the new record I believe and tuned to drop F#

    Are the two output jacks for a stereo setup or just for your preference where you want to plug in?

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  3 года назад +1

      Is more of a preference based on your playing position, not really recommended for simultaneous use. I demonstrate the possibilities in the other video with the same axe.

    Gorgeous guitar! How about the bridge? Does it stay tuned well? or easy to tune?(a stuff like Stran***rg'gs brdige knob is difficult to turn)

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  3 года назад +2

      Bridge is perfect, I tuned it once and never went out. The tuners are also very smooth although they do have just a bit of resistance.

      This bridge was chosen because it turns so, so smoothly even with the full string tension. I can only imagine what this bridge will do in its Titanium version!

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  3 года назад

      Absolutely, I couldn't resist ordering one with a titanium tremolo, I'm sure it's gonna slay!

    Thoughts on the knob positions now that you've played it?

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  3 года назад +1

      Great point to call out! The volume knob is completely out of the hand's way which I like, the tone is all the way to the bottom but I never use it.

    What you prefer more Dreamcatcher or Lundgren M7? :)

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  3 года назад +1

      Depends on what your after, the M7 has a higher output and more compressed. I like both but if I had to choose only one, probably the M7.

  • @jonathanwelch809

    Can you get this tone on the mesa boogie 25 watt alone?

    • @SergioChongLoo
      @SergioChongLoo  2 года назад +1

      With very tight/high output pickups like the EMG Hetset, SD Alpha/Omega, Fishman Devin Townsend or Fishman Tosin Abasi yes, pretty close.
