It’s so weird when I you realize a song you been listening to for years and years has a music video. Like why have you never seen this before? Always loved this song. 😊
Im a bit embarrassed to confess I've only just discovered them. I just spent a month riding a motorcycle, touring and camping listening to this and it has been fucking awesome. I quit Spotify and bought 6 of their albums on Bandcamp. I'm gonna buy some T shirts too - just to see if anyone else in NZ knows how they are.
Was it satellite? I ask because I have never heard any song from TNP on the radio. CMJ monthly put out a rag and a CD of various hip artists, and I discovered TNP on one of those CDs with _"The Laws Have Changed." Then, I immediately stopped at the record store to buy Electric Version and Mass Romantic on CD.
@@davidadams2395 No it was FM I honestly don't think Satellite radio was a thing at the time or if it was I certainly did not have a car expensive enough to have one. I should add it was in Canada so that probably had something to do with it.
@@FakeSchrodingersCat Ah, Canada. I'm envious. The Canadians to which I've been exposed were, by and large, wonderfully nice, polite people. BC is the extent of my experiences with Canadians. I usee to live in Seattle, so I visited Vancouver, B.C. and its surrounds often. Anyway, have a great weekend.
It's funny how I had zero idea this song existed growing up in 2000, but then when I went to the local Boys and Girls' Club in my town about six years later, the official video of this groovy song had first been uploaded shortly before I had also visited a friend's house and jumped on their trampoline one evening during Christmas break!

I have been listening to this for over 20 years, but am seeing the music video for the first time. So good!

2022 and still such a great song!
2024
Neko Case stepped on my hand at a concert once.
Don't even dare to wash that hand!
so jealous right now
Did it hurt? Did she apologize?
Did you say "thank you"?
"It was awesome"?
I remember hearing this on the radio and immediately going out to buy the CD

“Where’ve all sensations gone?” Neko Case is absolutely enchanting here! “The song, the song that’s shakin’ me”
This comment means everything to me
The best song you ever wrote, and one of the best in history
Such clever videos. As much as I love this song, I also love the youth chorus cover that is on RUclips. Coastal sound youth choir. ¡XOXO!
2023 and still a great song!
Still great in 2024!
Great Song, Great Album, Great Band, and Neko!

Remastered in widescreen? Sweet. This song this song.... Amazing
I just recently had this song in my head, and lo and behold their official RUclips posted a video of it! Awesome!
To celebrate 21 years of Mass Romantic.
1:42 - That's some serious ranga nodding power...
I’ve always wondered what they’re saying in the background at 2:10
I always thought Neko Case sounded like Bart Simpson. That's a compliment, btw.
i'll never be able to unhear this hahaha
Check your ears
@@TJT45808 They're fine. Check yours.
Let’s gooooo
this song makes me insane
It was a mistake to speed up Neko's vocals on the album. Fortunately, this mistake is rectified when the band plays it live.
Intro made me think of AC/DC for a second; great tune and video.
New fan. Happy anniversary.
Does anyone know the location of that beach scene?
guessing vancouver island somewhere
Great.
Genius!
Nekooooo 💕💕💕

EA sports gotta look it up for FIFA 23
what's up with that kick drum, looks like it melted in the heat. climate change folks. the effects are alarming.
It's magical that their guitars work with no amps or electricity. Also: the dudes throw like girls.

The song is too silent. You should reupload with better louder quality.
