In the Star Wars universe, you should always be yourself. Unless you can be a cowboy, apparently. Then, be a cowboy.
Just like real life.
Star Wars has always been take your favorite thing from history and make it sci-fi. You wanna be a Shaolin monk, Jedi. You want WWI dogfights, X-wings vs TIE fighters. You wanna be a New England fisherman, that one planet from that episode of the Mandalorian that I love way too much. Star Wars has it all
@@bodenking you want mechs? Looks at the AT walkers and that thing from carnelion iv
It’s why he’s so cool, he’s a western villain in a high tech fantasy setting
He isn't just a gunner archetype. He is also hyper intelligent and totally an all school gangster archetype as well.
he is literally better with light saber than the inquisitors
For Cad Bane’s Rogue levels I’d go Scout or Swashbuckler instead. He very much has the attitude, if you’re going to fight someone face them like a man.
The Scout’s Skirmisher, Survivalist, and Superior Mobility features all fit Cad pretty well being able to improve his tracking as a bounty hunter, create distance if someone closes the gap between them, and extra movement to keep up with Jedi.
The Swashbuckler also works well Rakish Audacity for better quick draws and sneak attacks even when alone, Fancy Footwork to help create distance (and before someone says it only applies on melee attacks, this still applies to Shocking Grasp or other melee spell attacks or even an unarmed attack so even if you miss you still get a free disengage), and while it only came up during “The Box” Bane assisting Obi-Wan against Moralo Eval works with the Swashbuckler’s Panache feature.
I would have gone with Arcane Trickster myself for the added gadgets/spells
@@danielm.berube3256 this gets into the "are you trying to replicate the setting with class features too hard" dilemma
Gosh, that putting on the Ritz bit was glorious.
I wanna see a tenacious d build, or something lighthearted so you can get your rest
I feel like this might do the exact opposite of what you want it to do, lol. Trying to find a way to put Tenacious D into dnd up to 20th level sounds like a decent amount of work.
He kinda already did, episode 225. Eddie Riggs is basicly tenacious d in video game form
@@doodleboardgames2802 well there you go! I forgot about that build.
But how will he create the greatest song in the world?
Cad. The best Clonewars character.
Thanks for this one!
I like how the cover of the Kung Lao hat reads “has a cool hat” and this reads “has the coolest hat”
You're right about the hit points. It didn't go so well when he got in melee range of Boba Fett.
Didn't go so well when Jango got in melee range of Mace Windu. Or when Boba got in melee range of a drunk, blind Han Solo. These bounty hunters need to stay outta melee range.
"And also, he doesn't even fail. He's just annoyed."
I wouldn't exactly refer to writhing around and screaming "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" as annoyed.
I was thinking of a Carmen San Diego build, and this almost satisfies what I was looking for, with exception to the assassin levels. Probably use thief instead, just not sure what artificer. This really captures Cad Bane well!
A great build. Love the gadgets and top gunning skills in a world of sword users
He does have a very nice hat.
Nothing describes Cad Bane better than Hatman ;)
I was having a really crummy day, where it felt like things kept going wrong, and then I open up a video with Tulok making a series of jokes about hats and I can't help but smile. Thank you for all of the hard work and love you put into your videos.
Bane was the first character that newer star wars introduced that I liked more than older characters. He really is a great character and they did him dirty in that Fett show.
10:50 Is that a goddamn always sunny reference? We need a golden god build
He makes Always Sunny references often... and still no Day Man build.
@@feralart I do recognise them yeah, fun to see others notice them. We also need Man-Cheetah, Greenman as well as Trashman builds
Probably the closest we'll get to a Man with No Name build.
Take care of yourself Tulok, you’re a good guy
“…Nice…” -doing 69 average damage
So glad I hadn't seen this yet. Rough night, needed a fun video. Thanks Tulok
Cad Bane: once again proving the power of the Rogue/Artificer multiclass
I'd actually put Cad Bane as Battle Smith artificer; he's proficient with guns (martial weapons) and T0-D0 is his steel defender (or homunculus "assistant".)
I would love to see a Jesse Faden build from Control. One of my favorite games and I've been trying to do it myself but I can't get it to feel right.
Hell yeah! Personally, I would go 14 Aberrant Mind Sorcerer/ 6 Hexblade Warlock. But I agree that something just doesn't quite feel right
Surprised you didn't dip like two levels into Ranger for favoured enemy humanoids, archery fighting style, and Hunter's Mark. Not only is it thematically on point, it's got great synergy with everything else on here.
If I have learned anything from my 1720 hours of playtime in Team Fortress 2, is that cool hats are a source of power.
As someone who loves both Star Wars and Control, the "fly away and shoot" strat is just as effective for Jesse Faden as it is for Cad Bane.
Cad Bane had Palpatine eating out of the palm of his hand and Sheev was so impressed that he hired him later.
Urban Bounty Hunter give you the skilled needed and it fit the character
If the DM let's you swap out the land vehicle proficiency for the space vehicles from Spelljammers, then this build would almost be perfect
YEAH BABY! THIS IS WHAT I’M WAITING FOR! THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm a sucker for a cool hat. 10/10
Do you think that maybe Flynn Carson from the Librarians would be too obscure for you to do a How To Play of? I could see them as either a Bard or a Warlock.
Did you just say "beautiful red eyes"...alright I like you hahah.
This is great, you definitely know your business! And Bane's too :D
It would be awesome if you made Takeo Ischii as he is depicted in Chicken Attack xD could be challenging but if you make the animals a part of the party they could be monk/druids xD
Nice video as always. I was wondering if Tulok did made a build with an alchemist artificer before. I have my own artificer and I wanted to see, if I coud be inspired by some other fictional character build, but I dont think he ever used the alchemist before. Probebly for a good reason.
I think the Moira build used Alchemist mixed with Necromancy Wizard
Rikku from Final Fantasy and Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil dipped into alchemist.
@@gregjensen5826 Well, I dont know that final fantasy character but I completly forgot, that Leon was an alchemist. Thanks.
@@PKgiannycarlo Yeah, that seems obvious now. Thanks.
Rick Sanchez was also an alchemist
If someone catches up to you, I wouldn't Fett about it!
I don't watch this channel too often these days, but I did come by like 2 weeks ago looking EXACTLY for this xD
So true, literally the *Coolest* hat
I'm really into Dungeons & Dragons and me and my friends started a campaign and I've been interested in the tv show lucifer and I was wondering if u had any idea on how to build Lucifer Morningstar
Also i love your videos that u make about interesting characters to play as
Uh probably fallen aasimar with 20 eloquence bard for insanely good charisma checks
What do you desire?
@@douglaselder5967 I'm not for sure but I want the character build to be from the Tv Show lucifer
Literally stopped filming a tiktok because I got the notif and went "CAD BANE?!?" and got on my desktop to watch.
Here's hoping we get an Invader Zim build sometime in the future. Unlikely yet hopeful still
Barely even started and I’m calling Vedalken Assassin Rogue.
Edit at Stats. Artillerist Artificer included.
At character Level 3. There’s my initial idea.
At character Level 7. There’s my edited idea.
Your character is good, but...does he have a COOL HAT?!?
When even the space wizards aren't capable to achieve something, who are you gonna call? Perhaps a certain cowboy looking alien can achieve the impossible (maybe even getting me a Tangle the lemur build from Sir Tulok?)... For the right price of course.
Cad Bane is a Duros bounty hunter that will sell his vast array of skill, experience and lack of moral when you need a task to be done by the best, flourishing above other bounty hunters during the clone wars, doing work from kidnaping politic figures, stealing from Jedis your regular murdering and even tutoring others into his trademark ruthlessness for a work that demands such spirit when facing grim odds, having a target on your back 24/7 and having to anger people with glowing sticks of death. A firm grip is needed when the killing is your job, but try to not do it just because someone have a hat you like, I'm sure that with the money you get from corrupted evil lord's you can pay for a better one, then again, I get it, it would not be the same, isn't it?
Yoooo
Also, I know you probably won’t see this, but could you maybe make some characters from Risk of Rain 2? Love ur vids and I’ve gotten really into the game recently.
Hm. That might be fun. I think I can get this to work Jimmie.
A glorious build
Pls do more series of unfortunate events
I wonder what kind out class the Undertaker would be. He is a master of mind games and when you think he is out he just rises up. Anyone else thinks that he has URN-ED a character build.
you should vote for headless horsman
In this build what kinda weapons could Cad Bane use?
Specially for range in a full medieval setting?
Have you ever made a MacGyver style character?
Could you do baba voss from the show SEE. I'm trying to think whats best
Can we get a build for Michelangelo from the TMNT Comic series "The Ronin"?
You should do Berk from Berk
Mary Poppins next?
Thanks.
Low con is valid for cad
Hey Tulok out of sheer curiosity, with Hadozee playable in Starjammer would you consider that more accurate for Goku and/or the other Saiyans or would you stick to Aasimar?
Personally, I would still say Aasimar. Other than the general monkey vibe, the Hadozee don’t really have anything “Saiyan-y”. The Aasimar also basically have the Super Saiyan transformation built in
@@fightingfalcon777 I gotta disagree. The glide is probably more true to Dragonball flying which when it debuted was more like slow falling. And Hadozee resilience to reduce damage really speaks to their martial ability imo. I can still see either but I'd like to think there's at least a case to be made for Hadozee.
Can you make Black Adam?
could you PLEASE PLASE make yami sukehrio from black clover i think it would be so cool and i would appreciate it a ton have an amazing rest of your day and take care
No Kentucky Derby refrence?
Chainsaw man there is no build more metal than chainsaw man
...super sentai has a cast of about 300 superheroes over 47 seasons to date. Better get on it soon or you'll never get through them all.
My friends and I recently decided to check out the power rangers rpg from renegade games.
Normally I'm not a fan of how basic some of the Star Wars names can be, especially in the prequel era. Cad Bane gets a pass, though. Because of his hat.
What weapon you are using on this build?
Prob hand crossbows or hand guns if they're in the setting.
Day 20 of asking for How to Play Buster Scruggs in D&D.
Wow. Star warses.
Embo has a better hat
love to see more Overwatch builds now that OW2 is out
Have you considered switching over to Pathfinder 2E?
Still on the anti-jedi cringe train
