- Today we have a build for Boba Fett in D&D 5e. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to play an archer that can fly, this is a build for you. Spoilers: it's pretty fun. Enjoy all of the gadgets of the top bounty hunter in the galaxy with fire, wire and no plans to retire.

As far as I can tell no one had brought this up, but you're incorrect on Sharpshooter. Yes, you can take a -5 to the Attack Roll, but it does NOT add an extra d10, it adds an extra flat +10 to the damage.
That's still what we call, lots of damage
He corrected himself when adding the total damage die :)
Kieran Testa I noticed that too. And hey, that’s good-after all, that ability would be a lot worse if it was the die over the flat damage.
@@AllToastersToastToast No one would risk it if they constantly had bad damage rolls
This now works with a mandalorian build
You would need thorn whip as the grapple and magic missile as the singing birds. Could probably take magic initiate
@@Indy-the-soup I would change the sorcerer levels for wizard (swap charisma and intelligence, obviously). Cause the build he made for the mandalorian didn't feel right. Altering this one a bit feels better
Beware 10 foot deep holes
MY ONLY WEAKNESS NOOOOOO
How about corvo from dishonored at some point?
Could be interesting. Not familiar with it myself, which kind of puts it on the back burner until I can quit the day job. But never saying never.
Shadow Monk for the teleportation, bit of druid for the animal control and the rest is either Fighter or Rogue for his blade skills.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Rogue / Warlock combo, maybe the new UA's Pact of the Talisman could fit better the Outsider's Mark than the rest of the pact boons.
Congratulations, here it is!

Would you consider an Update on Boba since his badass display in The Mandalorian? :D
Is there a chance of this build being updated now that we’ve seen much more of Boba?
Should Redo a Mando using the official artificer.
Thank you! Boba fett is one of my favorite character growing up.
Same! I remember the original Battlefront 2, I'd always play Boba in the Mos Eisley free for all thing. My friends go mad because they'd pick Jedi, and didnt know how to block.
Haha, that MC Chris intro 🤩
And another great build!
That song slaps. I've had it on repeat since editing
Back here after Mandalorian Chapter 14.
I definitely request that you post that entire backstory on your Twitter. Shooty McGunKill? I must know more.
I'll see what I can do...
Cad bane!
You gotta do the Desperado of Star Wars
I’d say he’s an artillerist artificer/battlemaster fighter multiclass. Go hobgoblin for the race, and make sure you pick up crossbow expert and sharpshooter
Nyeh, storm troopers are not clone troopers >:V
Some are. X3
@@ultimateninjaboi origonaly but then they were all killed of
@@Shy_Man_Idiot huh. Thought some were kept around after it all. Guess I was wrong. XP
@@ultimateninjaboi They stayed longer in Legends, but they died off fairly quickly in both thanks to accelerated aging.
@@demi-femme4821 true. Fair enough
Thanks for the more in-depth detailing of the skills, when I went with my Bounty Hunte Mercenary archetype character I went with the hunter warrior, a mix between the Ranger, Fighter and perhaps a bit of the Barbarian, but it was more of the heat of battle moments when that would trigger itself, still I too opted for the Sorcerer in order to have access to magic in more blunt way,
I never meant to be so bad to you
@@whatstdiggn Wait what!?
Great video, I'd pick artificer over some of the sorcerer levels since he has gadgets and good investigation for tracking purposes
Another great vid man! Out of curiosity: after you're done star wars-ing it up. Can we get a video where you build a POWER RANGER in dnd 5e? It doesn't have to be one in particular, since most of their powers overlap aside from a few special cases. Id love to see you tackle something so much more....JAPAN than usual lol
Eastern expansion is a goal for the channel! It's kind of a blind spot, but I know theres a lot of great characters to use.
Until I can take this channel full time, it's probably going to be mostly western stuff, but once I dont have to worry about the day job Sentai and Anime watching will increase drastically
With the new artificr class released in Ebberon, would you change anything?
Surely the big thing will be replacing the Sorcerer levels with Artificer levels instead
Considering that the characters we’re voting for this time are all Jedi, I have a feeling they’re going to be similar regardless of which one is picked.
That being said, I’d vote for Luke (or Rey)
Similar for sure, the variation would come from their force talents vs lightsaber skills.
Side note: give Rey a Darth Maul saber. She uses a staff before she gets a lightsaber, why not give her something different that the standard shot sword design?
You work for Disney right? Can you tell them to change that?
Funny how this comment was made months ago and now we see Dark Rey in the Trailer for the new star wars
You should still do Rey and Mace Windu. And if you do, try and somehow fit in their ability of the the Superconducting loop, and Mace's shatterpoint ability.
So would Jango Fett pretty much be just like this, but with twin hand crossbows instead of one crossbow?
I played around with this concept and I would suggest 16 lvls rogue (arcane trickster), 2 lvls of ranger, and 2 lvls of wizard (war magic). Rogue for damage and mobility, ranger for close quarters shooter as well as ensnaring strike, and wizard for burning hands. Arcane trickster can give you flight but I would recommend acquiring “the winged boots” as it’s more reliable and you can use it conservatively to last all day.
The OG bounty hunter!
Though there are so many great characters to make that have not yet been made, I'd be curious to see what ~2 years of experience doing this work and a new TV series on the character might do to your Boba Fett build!
Perhaps you can do a Redux series, where you do like a 1-3 minute video series on what you might do differently with characters you've covered in the past?
Could even help you get in on all that tikytoky moolah!
A repeating heavy crossbow with a bolts of slaying lol
This is awesome! I’m new to DnD and would have loved to follow this, but my party has told me that the Ranger and such has significantly changed since the making of this video. Could we get an updated version? The mandalorian video is great, but I feel it doesn’t fit boba fett that well…
Ok I have actually been waiting for this since the series first started. All hail tulok the barbarian
Please, I'm just a guy doing his job. ;)
Just subscribed and very good work on all your builds. Good work. Interested in seeing if you could make a build themed around Judge Dredd?
Can you make Robocop for d&d?
Storm troopers were phased from clones to regular humans between Episode 3 and Rogue One. By Episode 4 nearly all storm troopers were human. So, Boba Fett doesn't share lineage with them. He shares lineage with the Republic Clone Troopers.
I liked and subbed just before a session and rolled all nat 20's, thanks Tulok!
Did he just confuse clone troopers with stormtroopers?
At the very least, most of the clone troopers became stormtroopers after order 66.
Thank you for saying “rife” and not “ripe”
This build is surprisingly better than the real Boba Fett(canon wise)
I dont blame him, he only ever fought characters with plot armor.
Where's the "How to play as Mando in D&D" vid?
Taking this as a serious request, find the Mandalorian code and play a character who follows it. Work out with your GM to replace the Mando'a language with a suitable cultural language in their world and then spend a lot of time figuring out how to mess up spellcasters without any magic of your own.
i feel this needs to be updated with artillerist artifocer instead of sorcerer?
Damn good build on a great charater, im running with this one... but guess what... Now time to do Arnold Schwarzenegger 1984 Conan the Barbarian. 😉
Hi!! Can you make Dredd Judge?
Love all these videos!! But gotta say... You talked about the stormtroopers aim in the vader video and this one. But you talked about them as if they were clones. While the first few stormtroopers were clones, they got recycled pretty quickly because the emperor did not trust them and found them inferior. By the time of New Hope I believe all the clones were out of the Imperial Navy by then because of Palpatine's dislike of them and also because of their VERY low shelf life, they aged much faster than humans, so the Stormtroopers that were shooting, and MISSING, Luke and his group were just regular people put into the army for numbers, most of them weren't even trained that well! But the Clone Troopers of the republic were master shooters, hell they KILLED ALL THE JEDI on order 66. Put that side by side with how many shots of the stormtroopers missed, It's amazing Palpatine did not make more clones! Luke and his group wouldn't have stood a chance against the Clones much superior aim and overall skill!
TLDR: The stormtrooper's in and after A New Hope weren't clones! Clones were amazing and would've wiped out any group of stormtroopers!
Go Rex!
2 points:
1. Boba is a PERFECT clone of Jango, so the justification for Variant Human is a little off…however the benefits outweigh the lack of lore friendliness so I’ll forgive it.
2. Boba IS NOT related to Imperial Stormtroopers. This one I can’t forgive, because of nerd rage.
Nice video, Mr. Barbrarian.
No need to be so formal Mr. Fabblestsbble, we're all friends here. :)
artificer:(perfect for this build )
tulok: haha fuck you sorcerer for no reason
As always... excelent. If you roll high enough stats, alert could be a nice feat to have, to mimic that awesome scene in witch Boba detects Luke Skywalker unholstering his blaster. Can't surprise a guy who have a helmet equipped with audio sensors (?
I'm excited to do Han Solo for the Alert feat. What I have planned inadvertantly is like the HIGHEST initiative possible, but hey- Han shot first.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 oh man, oh man... you just got me so hyped ... love this channel so much!! this argentinian thanks you with all of his heart! awesome work!
You just made my day! I'm happy to make the videos, excited for the big Star Wars push in December. :)
Can we get a video on the winter soldier. I figure you could play it as a fighter battle master, rogue assassin cross class. Maybe a warlock if you wanted to play the slave to a greater master. In that case you could play it as his arm is his pact weapon. And that his patron is a demon or fallen god that is planning a coup. Maybe a hex blade for a reasonably more unique pact weapon.
Oh my gosh, I actually love this idea for a Winter Soldier build, get some invocations to bump up his basic abilities, obviously high charisma because Bucky is such a good boi, but also a freaking monster in CA2.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I'm glad you like the idea. I hope you make use of it.
This might not be related to Star Wars, but since you did Boba Fett, it's still relevant. I'd quite like to see you make Vile from Mega Man X; I'm not sure how his Ride Armour would work in D&D.
Most the prom Lea can be sliced with good roles for stats
I have a mission for your bounty hubter "bring me solo and the wookie"
is mysterio the thursday build
If not there's always chameleon, venom (or carnage), sabretooth, omega red, or ra's al ghul
One of those is coming soon. No spoilers.
Cool
I love your videos. Great work.
I'm voting for Mace Windu (Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars Version) Rey, then Luke. Do them all! Why not?
They'll be done in a big push before Episode 9, along with the other builds that havent won their polls. :)
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 You wouldn't wait until after episode 9 for Rey?
So working through this on D&D beyond and not understanding the multiclass. When I choose sorcerer I'm not seen pyromancer for an origin.
That's because pyromancer us an old UA, & D&D Beyond only provides access to current UA
Episode 57 of the Fire Emblem stats: Boba Fett.
Boba has a bunch of skills: heavy armor (the suit of armor), reason (both the blaster and the flamethrower), and flight (the jetpack). He's weak to faith because he's one of the few main characters without Force sensitivity.
He has high speed and luck that help with dodging but he's quite the squishy guy with low defense, HP, and resistance.
Pyromancy isn't from Unearthed Arcana, it's from the Planeshift stuff, Kaladesh if I remember right.
Awesome video like usual
Nice initiative roll!
I personaly never would think about playing a fantasy Boba Fett as a range charakter. Blasters and Rifles in Sci Fi Settings are the standard. So in a fantasy setting it would be mele weapons.
Have a fighter/sorcerer, changing that
Ahsoka Tano??? 😁
So she lost the poll, but could be redeemed early, or we'll get her out before episode nine. :)
Great video, Dad!
Hi Great Video Dad, I'm Tulok. Wait...
I have been trying to come up with a character based on Vlad the Impaler not the Vampire/Shape shifting Dracula version but based on the historical facts.
Oooh. Historical builds would be a new environment, but I love the idea...
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 yea well feel free to use idea for future videos.
Great build! :)
This aged REALLY well.
Why not sorcerer level 11 for disintegrate?
What Bounty Hunter background? From what source? Urban Bounty Hunter doesn't give Intimidation.
Is Green Lantern something one could do?
Of course! If one knows where to look, theres a spell in the PHB that is basically a Lantern Ring...
But if I tell you what it is, you won't watch the video in the future.
Its spiritual weapon build a light domain cleric
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I assure you I would absolutely watch the episode! I hadn't considered cleric, I was thinking a hexblade warlock, making a lantern that likes to construct a melee weapon and the spells could be skinned as other things
Could the spell “scorching Ray” be used as grenades
What kind of armor would you count as his armor
Padded Leather probably? Studded is better though, just do that...
I always was picturing half plate cause in the star wars comics he not only wields lightsabers but his armor shrugs off blows from them
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Isn't his armor very heavy?
Im a returning player to D&D, last played AD&D 23 years ago, So only just found these gems. I no im a little late. But crossbow expert only works with one handed weapons, so his 'Rifle' heavy xbow is kinda useless yes? Cause it wont proc the bonus action hand xbow?
Out of all the star wars characters, there's only one that's just damn near impossible to make a pc.
Galen Marek/Starkiller. O_o
My best guess would be a variant human Storm Sorcerer/Vengeance Paladin. Maybe with some fighter.
It also depends on if we are doing original starkiller or clone starkiller... because then that changes dueling to two-weapon fighting but realistically he just had expeditious retreat (force dash), lightening bolt (force lightening), something that pushes people around (warlock eldritch blast evocation), and a lightsaber throw (not quite sure how to do that one). Everything else he had was lightsaber combo attacks with those three base things (not counting lightsaber throw because that didn't combo into anything iirc)
Hide in plain sight would probably only work at Comic-Con
What fighting game is that? Also do Tank Girl! If anybody can figure out how to get a PC driving a sentient tank it would be you.
It was called masters of Teris kasi or something like that. It was on the ps1. The game wasn’t very good.
Uhm you referenced a rule on page 144 of the players handbook about spellcasting and multi class. My fifth edition dungeons and dragons players handbook, on page 144, Has these titles. Selling treasure, armor and shields, variant equipment sizes, light armor, and medium armor. But nothing about what you mentioned. I shall poke around in my players handbook a little more.
*Boba Fett*
A variant human ranger-sorcerer and perhaps the best bounty hunter in the galaxy
could you see if you can make Captain Rex
Thank you for using mc chris.
Got to give my vote for Luke
Lukes like hes winning by a fair margin. Get it, cause Luke sounds like Look
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Ha! Very punny my good sir! Very punny indeed
Hey man made a new character for my friend's campaign. It's basically The Mandalorian. It uses ranger and the new artificer. Would you be interested in it?
I would...
What artificer subclass does it use?
@@jacobdespain1411 i went with Smith
Where exactly are the Bounty Hunter Background and Pyromancer subclass found? I have been looking for them, but I can't find them
The Urban Bounty Hunter background is found in the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide. As for the Pyromancer Sorcerer, I figured it was going to be in an Unearthed Arcana, but it appears to actually be from Plane Shift: Kaladesh. The setting is technically for MtG, but it says right in the PDF that it’s compatible with DnD.
None of your Star Wars build sarlacc-ing in creativity. #DecemberTulokRewatch
Am I correct that you made what is that universe's greatest Bounty Hunter without proficiency in perception? Or did I miss that somewhere?
Dude fell into the Sarlacc pit. His Perception is a joke, in canon.
@@CaitiffFTW in Canon his jetpack was hit by a gaffey stick and ignited jetting him into the sarlacc, dude didn't just fall in....
@@theonlymatthew.l How do you miss a blind man wildly swinging a stick? How shoddy is the construction on his jet pack? And, how does that explain the other 3 times?
@@CaitiffFTW all I'm referring to is the first time. Anyways, the point is a Bounty Hunter build leaves something to be desired if you don't even have proficiency in Perception
@@theonlymatthew.l Absolutely. I'm just saying that it's accurate, for Boba Fett to be missing that proficiency, as he doesn't have decent perception, in canon.
Invader Zim!
Doooomed!!!
Would this work well for a build for the Mandalorian, or is there stuff to be changed?
I feel like some stuff should be changed if you want mando to have baby yoda help him out with stuff
Pyromancer is not in 5e tho?
Wish to retract some of this?
Hey this is relevant again.
have you thought about doing a power ranger video at all?
There is something so incredibly lame about substituting guns/blasters with crossbows. I know there isn't another alternative but still
Check out matt mercers gunslinger homebrew. It's on dnd beyond and it's somewhat balanced. If the dm is fine with it.
Well in the Back of the DMG there is a table of Guns from Muskets to Laserguns.
Honestly, I wish your lore building would slow down a bit. Shooty McGunKill and Gooligi are definitely great characters from the Building Character novels, but they don't need their own builds right away.
And teasing them in the first minute of Bobas video makes it seem like your too focused on building a franchise, rather than a character. Just my opinion.
Is this a meta Star Wars franchise joke on my Star Wars video?
Clearly you forgot just how bad rangers suck, there is no damage modifier for favored enemies, just adv on survival (for tracking just them) and their language (if they have one).
He used Revised Ranger.

Isn't Bobba Fett son of Jango Fett and not clone human?
All the clone troopers are made from Jango's DNA. Boba was a clone that Jango had created as a younger age so he could raise him as a son

Except he isn't a Mandalorian.
@@LifeLongMETALHead83 He was 150% Mandalorian and led the Mandalorian culture as Mandalore all the way up until Lucas got bought out. (I like what the new SW has been putting out, but Legends is the one true Expanded Universe) Mandalorian isn't a race, it's a philosophy not unlike the Jedi or Sith; as long as one swears to and abides by the Resol'nare, they are a part of the Mando'Ade.
