You know you’re good at explaining something when it’s interesting enough to hold your attention even though you’re not super likely to use the information ever.
I took a 3D animation college level course and all they did was throw around the terms FK and IK and when we asked what that was the instructor just pointed to where it was on the screen LOL
I love how simple yet fitting Gimberly's design is! All those little details make her stand out from most other tutorials, that being just how her design works very well in your tutorial videos! Also dear god, letting people download Gimberly V2 for free is like opening the gates of hell-
It’s interesting to see how much robotics and animation overlaps! I’ve read that the development of motion trajectories, IK, etc. were developed in parallel between roboticists and animators!
For sure, I imagine much of animatronic programming is like that, and a ton of early digital animation especially was engineers collaborating with animators.
Your videos made those concepts so much clearer for me, thank you so much for making this content I love that the explanations are followed by visuals, it helps a lot
This was really well explained. Tbh as an animator I never knew what the difference other than that fact that they worked differently, with IK and FK controls on the rig. But now they make so much more sense. And will probably help me a ton. Thanks!
Hey man! Unfortunately it seems the captions for this are under the video title text on mobile, so its not really legible. It's not just you, I have noticed this on other videos from creators new to shorts as well! I loved the full video this clip is from, very informative and clear!
