  • In this easy cooking video, I cook a frozen chuck steak with vegetables in my Instant Pot electric pressure cooker. The ingredients I used in my pressure cooker recipe are a frozen beef chuck steak, 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 stalk of celery, 1 onion, 3 cloves of garlic, salt, and Johnny's Seasoned Pepper. I also sprinkled in a little bit of Worcestershire Sauce at the end. The cooking time is 15 minutes on the pressure cook setting, but it was in the Instant Pot for a hour, before I released the pressure.

I bet if you used a fat separator for the leftover stock then used a corn starch slurry ( then reducing to a gravy )that would have made a great stew after chunking up the beef! But soup works as well for sure! :D

Yep. Instant pot makes steak meat stupid tender for some reason. I have never tried frozen. Def picking up an extra steak or 2 next time they are on sale. Recipies like this make my instant pot save the day some days. 32 and ive been watching you for about 5 years or so now. Your toaster oven videos got to me initially. Happy cooking

Frozen meat of any kind (especially beef) should never be cooked before thawing and beef should always be near room temp before cooking. Just because it CAN be done this way does not mean it's a good way to cook it.

Been doing this for years now. What's the issue?
I am an extremely busy Mom and this method saves the day most nights...plus I have an aversion to raw meat so frozen is my favorite way to cook meat for my family.
