I believe so. We don’t have any android phones to try it out
Where did you get the harness adaptor from? Did you buy seperate?
It came with it
Has anyone with an 07 mk5 tdi bought this and it works? Are any extras needed?
Don’t see the difference with a tdi. Depends what the rcd330 comes with I guess.
I need something like this for my vw polo 2010. Can u help me out please I am losing it cant find shitt
will it work in a vw golf rabbit 1.6 TDI??
Is that a mk5?
Hey. I have golf 5 2007 and after removed 4 radio screws I still could not remove my radio. Do you know what could bet the problem?
Not sure. Maybe go around brackets on the side and try prying it off. Maybe it’s just stuck from heat over the years. Just a little bit of force.
What kind of screws is it? What kind of tools do i need?
Torx screws, plastic trim tools and torx bits or torx (Allan key)
@@HarrodsGarage Thanks, can you send me a link for a set for all the screws and evrery thing i need for it? Sander
Long time but.
Does it work with the cars original "hands free"? if you know what i mean
Yes it does.
For real? so i can connect my phone to the cars original hands free (from the steering wheel) and it will use the new headunit?
Yes. My Mrs uses it everyday calling us on her way home from work
Nice. Does it show what song you play on the MFD then?
Sorry for the spam ;)
Not sure as her mk5 GT doesn’t have that option to begin with
Does this unit not need the canbus upgrading to a car after 2009 to prevent battery drain.
I believe not
Hey mate, will this be compatible with a Golf TDI 1.9 2008? Do i need to get any extra cables or anything or will the unit itself be all I need? Thanks
Should be a straight swap. Mine did come with a harness so just make sure yours does too
Hi thank you for your video and work. Does it come with the cable adapters? It's plug and play or we have to change canbus? Thank you very much.
The one I bought came with adapters. I believe with the earlier mk5 you will need to change the canbus but I’m not sure what you need as I did not need it. It will most likely be somewhere in the comments.
@@HarrodsGarage thank you very much for answering!
would buy if it had a cd player
Oh, old school. I still have CD players in my Subarus
@@HarrodsGarage nice. Sometimes combination of old and new tech would be nice
Do you have a right hand drive??
Yes we do.
Hi I have heard that you can retire the engine bay fuse box instead of replacing the canbus, have you heard of this, if so is it successful ?.
Haven’t heard of that
So you purchased the unit with the steering wheel control adapter correct or seperate, as I see a lot listed via eBay.?
Grant Turton I came with everything needed
Cheers for that.
Hi, can you shere the link where se can buy this radio?😁
Sorry I deleted it as it was $400 when I bought it and they put it up to $1500. Just a google search for the rcd330 will find one that close to you as well.
does the steering wheel control still work?
Yes it does
So no Computer codes needed etc?
Nope
Hey, from which year is ur car? I want to do the same as u but I have a golf 5 from 2006 and I’m not quite sure if I need any adapters
It’s a 2007
@@HarrodsGarage thanks for ur fast reply I’ve heard that the vw golf needs a special gateway otherwise the battery of the car runs out quickly. Did u had this problem or did u used a gateway?
@@janinajanina8067 didn't have to use any gateway and they battery has been fine
Hi but in the cluster it's showed information?
Showed as in the original did?
@@HarrodsGarage yes

What should i do to fix it ?
I’m not sure. Have you tried google
Hello mate ,
Can ya refer something for my golf mk5 2003 ?
🙌🏻
Isn’t a 2003 a mk4
Harrods Garage here in the Europe no! Golf 5 was released in the end of 2003 !
Auro Chandru ahh didn’t know that. I’m sure this would rcd330 would work. Probably just need that adaptor that everyone in the comments keeps talking about.
Will this work for a 2005 Rabbit? How did you connect the two wires at 11:29? Thanks.
only one would fit. everything seems to be working fine. Not sure about the 2005 Rabbit
3:52 Don't ever do that! ;-)
Thx for share
Don’t do what?
@@HarrodsGarage It's about the story of a tiny screw that fall into aeration hole... "god damn it! "
@@kashubelua hahaha
@@HarrodsGarage 😉
Does the radio come with the Bluetooth integrated or did you have a separate module for the Bluetooth?
It’s integrated
Is that a mk6 radio?
I’m not sure what it was out of. Rcd330 is the model though
Bruh thanks for the video
👌🏼
Where's the link to this product??
Sorry took it down because for some reason the price went from $400aud to $1500aud
Is there any way to fit a stereo without this battery drain issue?
Our one hasn’t drained at all
Will it fit a Golf 5 Plus?
It should. It’s a MK5
Does this work with the golf r32
Mk5 r32, yes for fitment. Not sure about the whole canbus thing though. Check other comments here. I believe MY08 don’t need a canbus upgrade. Anything older will as they drain batteries apparently
Would this stereo work on a 2008 VW Rabbit?
Same same
Can I ask you? Where did you bought the rádio. I have samé car and I cant find thi rádio.
It was local to me but on eBay. I did have the link up which had it for around $400 and they put it up to $1500 so I delete the link. Just google ‘rcd330 apple car play’ and you will find one local to you.
@@HarrodsGarage thank you Very much.
